This is a good park to play softball league. I like how the fields are decent, there's good parking in the lot and there's accessible bathrooms. Mahany has a soccer field nearby the softball field and there's a nice library too. I went early for softball one Friday night to be warmly greeted with an event with tents in the parking lot. It's nice that this park does pop up things like this to support local businesses. If you can, check out Mahany Park. It's a nice one. read more

This is a great park in the area. It's peacefully set back from the road surrounded by plant life. There is lots of different equipment in spaced out areas--slides, swings, climbing apparatus, bouncing, musical play, sand pit, & more. Some parts are covered. An area for younger children is fenced in with heavy gates to get in/out. Ramps & specialty swings add accessibility. read more

Love this park purely because of the gated small kids section. There are so many things for the little ones to do. The facilities are all clean. They have swings, slides, a little sand area, and a climbing structure. Also the ground is like rubber instead of tanbark, so no more pulling bark out of shoes! read more

As far as I'm concerned this is the best park in Roseville. The sound of baseball, kids playing, the sight of people relaxing in the shade is the norm here. It's a really big park. One end is a dog park and baseball fields. In the center is the softball field. If you keep walking you have a play ground for the really little kids and a separate playground for the older kids. There is also a football field here, library, batting cages, and a small gym. I can't wait till we can go to the batting cages but they are closed now due to Covid. read more

Very nice park. Has two sessions for small children and big children. My toddler loves this place. We went there around 4:30pm. It's not crowded but the around five more people started to come in to play. The place has some shades so not bad to come during day time too if you want to avoid the crowds. read more

We love this park so much. It's perfect for our 2.5 year old twins because it's completely gated in and secure so I can literally bring them there by myself. It's located behind the Martha Riley Library which is also great and they have a recycle exhibit for kids of all ages. Also the parking lot hosts Farmers Market every Sunday rain or shine! read more

This place reminds me what is bad about Roseville. It's a nature area, yet people don't have their dogs on leashes. We saw a dog chase a rabbit and the rabbit was scared s--tless, it ran into the road and was hit by a car. The inconsiderate dog owners laughed. Batting Cages are CLOSED! I drove all the way over there just to be disappointed. I don't understand why the CITY OF ROSEVILLE has closed them - if they were closed during Covid & needed to, they could have just raised the prices. This park and the area around it is a great concept the City of Roseville has. The variety of different places one can come out to do solo or with families. There is a full size, astroturf soccer field that does allow open play on certain days. Within the park is the Roseville Sports complex, that at one time, the Kings, consider using for there practice facilities. But the best part about this park is the things for the kids. There are batting cages, along with 2 different full size play grounds. There is a play ground for the wee little ones that is covered in a gigantic canapy. Next to that one is a larger playground for the larger kids. My only complaint would be towards some of the parents that go there. Watch your kids and clean up after yourselves. This isn't a zoo, so pick up after yourselves and your kids. That includes poopy diapers. All in all great place. read more

The city and planning commissions probably set out to make Mahany Park the crown jewel of Roseville's robust parks and trails system. And on paper, the numbers all add up: 1 - Football / soccer field with no-maintenance astro-turf 2 - State of the art play area for kids 3 - Roseville's biggest library 4 - Gym with lowest membership in town for what you get (weights, aerobic, basketball and access to Mike Shellito pool) 5 - Batting cages 6 - Softball fields 7 - Dog Park 8 - Aquatic Center and Tennis courts next door by the High School So, why am I parking them smack dab in the middle with a 3 star review? Well, my fellow Rosies. Rosevillites? Rosevillians? as my mom would ask, Where are the trees?!? Yes, I know that Mahany is relatively new and that they probably had to bulldoze down any existing trees to build all that is here, so in 10 years, when the trees are taller, perhaps it will have the great park-like atmosphere, like over at Maidu Regional Park. I'm not taking away from any of the 8 items above, they are all solid parts of a solid park. A-OK in Yelp-ese. Just not what I feel makes it a welcoming place to hang out all day with the family. Sure, we run into the library to grab some books and DVDs. Yes, I'll check out the gym once in a while (more so the pool across town though). I'd love to try the batting cages if I can catch them while their open. And the park is quite fun, although my kids did ask if we could leave and go to a park with shade. So....there we have it. A solid 3 star park complex. If Yelp is still around in 2023, I'll swing back through this part of cyber space and see about increasing a star or two. read more

Thank goodness for a gated park! My son loves it here. I wish there was more shade, but we just deal with it. It gets kind of busy in the morning, a lot of mommy meetups meet here and socialize while their kids run around. The only yucky is the water/sand castle thing. It smells so bad. This park is great. Its so convienent for the residents and fantastic for kids of any age. When I first drove by many years ago, I thought it was a stadium or a school, but nope. I look at this park as more of a huge sports center.Swimming, tennis, softball, soccer ,equipment for kids, a full gym. Lots of activities take place here. It is well maintained and really has something for any active person. It also has walking trails and a nature reserve. Roseville did a good job on planning this one out. We are very lucky to have such a space available. Good place to keep yourself in shape. read more

This park in Roseville is beautiful and there are activities for the whole family here. My family loves this park because I have a niece that is two-years-old and she is an active little one. It is surrounded by a soccer field, baseball diamonds, an aquatics center, a sports center, batting cages, tennis courts, a community dog park and Martha Riley Library sits directly in the middle of all of it. This park has a lot going on with all the activities,and yet it is peaceful at the same time, I have many memories of studying in the park, playing sports here and visiting to get a run in from time to time. It is a fun place if you and your family are looking for a way to be active and stay within a small radius of space. As the weather gets hotter it's nice to go to the pool at the Roseville Aquatics Center which is within walking distance. She loves playing in the water, and being with the other kids in the pool. Amazing park. My favorite part is the All-Weather turf field for football, soccer, and lacrosse. I go here every week for drop-in soccer. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they did some changes to their weekly soccer program. It used to be two nights a week and they'd only charge $5 a night. Now it's down to only one night a week and they now charge $8. I hope that changes in the spring/summer once more soccer players attend. read more

My brother and I love this area! We were a little disappointed when we found out that the rumor of a skate park being put in was just that, a rumor. But I love how there is a little fence to kinda keep younger kids in their play area. The batting cages are fun. The sports center is more than that. It puts on middle school dances (TRL), has a rock wall, sells bus passes, and is also a gym. There is a center that teaches kiss the importance of recycling and about reducing the amount of energy we use. Then the most important part for myself is the library. It is clean,organized, and relatively quiet. It has study/reading rooms, a entertainment center where kids can watch tv or play video games as long as they are quiet. There are also different rating computers that you can only use if you are old enough. Kids downstairs, teens upstairs as well as adults. I love this place! read more

What a great park. Perfect for all ages of children. You could spend hours here. So many different areas to play in. The only complaint I have is there's not enough shade and no mature trees. So it's hard to have fun during our long summer months, because it's just too hot out! I plan to go here alot during the cooler time of the year though. read more

The park is super cool. A little hard to find. You have to go past the soccer fields on the left. The little kids park has wonderful coverage and water sprayers which we found by accident! So nice for the hot weather! Wish there signs saying cool off here! The big kid side has lots of adventures too. Just wish there was a little more shade. Very nicely planned out. My twin boys love this park....I drive quite the distance to come to this gated toddler area. My sons are autistic and like to escape from me. This park solves that issue. Only downside is not the park itself but the parents who leave the gates open or the kids above 5 years old mowing down my sons. More shade would be nice. Overall love this park. read more

We love this park! As a mom, I like that the 'little' and the 'big' kids are separate (although now that our daughter is 3, she likes to go in between both).
