We got lucky that nothing was taken, just a bummer to have to replace a window after doing something wholesome like taking our dog to a nature reserve. Otherwise this place is lovely. The trails are well maintained, the bike lanes are in good shape and clearly marked, and the reserve is clean. I love to take the long way around across the high levee because there is a little creek that runs by and it's just so pleasant to listen to as you walk.

Sunrise, a surprise 3.5 miles, and a birthday fitness gift!…read more Took my wife out to Maidu Regional Park for a 3.5-mile walk/hike as part of her birthday fitness gift, and honestly, this place did not disappoint! We got there around 5:45 AM while it was still dark because we really wanted to catch the sunrise. And let me tell you... it was absolutely worth getting up that early! Now, my wife wasn't exactly thrilled about the idea of 3.5 miles -- mainly because I may have conveniently left that little detail out beforehand. ‍ She survived though! The trail was well paved, clean, and felt very safe. There's also plenty of parking, and the parking lot was well lit. The actual trail wasn't lit, but honestly, it was so clean and easy to follow that we didn't really need it. I kept my phone handy and used the flashlight from time to time whenever my wife thought she heard something. As the sun started coming up, the whole experience got even better. Definitely a trail I'd like to come back to during the daytime because there's plenty to see and experience. And the timing was perfect. As we were leaving, a baseball team was starting to gear up for the day, which was a pretty cool way to wrap things up. Overall, 5 stars all day! Great place for a morning walk, some exercise, fresh air, and a beautiful sunrise. Two thumbs up! Definitely worth checking out!

There's lots of high climbing areas, so it could be dangerous for children that aren't very coordinated yet. The park is largely unshaded, so you definitely feel the heat on warmer days. There are restrooms on site. Overall, cute theme and lots of benches for relaxing along the perimeter.

We went to do my son's senior picture session with a local photographer. The session was in mid December and the scenery was just breathtaking! It was the perfect setting, close to home. The park looks great for pictures with the bridges and water behind you. Parking is the only problem. Small lot, and the park sits inside a neighborhood. Drive slow when looking for a spot. Good place to relax, walk, or take photos. I'll come back again.

Mahany has a soccer field nearby the softball field and there's a nice library too. I went early for softball one Friday night to be warmly greeted with an event with tents in the parking lot. We opted for the $35 wristband, which was well worth it, he got to go on several different rides and hit the big slide multiple times.They had plenty of carnival games, vendors and food trucks. When it came time to grab a bite, my son picked Bubble Hive food truck. He got a waffle cone with vanilla ice cream and chocolate that was so big that we all ended up sharing it. Since it was Mother's Day, the beer garden and live music were a nice touch. They were serving mimosas, so my husband and I both grabbed one, since I was in the mood for something refreshing instead of beer. It was starting to get pretty hot out, so we only stayed for a couple of hours, but it was a fun outing and my son had a great time.

The only things in this park is they Don't have restroom. There is water fountain by the basketball court. The parking is street parking. Just be careful when walkout of the car with kids since people drive pretty fast in this area. One thing when walking around I notice lots of dog poops everywhere. Just watch where u step.
