A lot of the staff there (not all) seemed like they didn't care about the patients well being and were just there to collect a check and go. Creekside Health and Rehabilitation was a huge disappointment to our family. Our sister's initial…read morestay in the rehab wing was okay, not great and not quite subpar. Due to her health restrictions we were forced to make the decision to admit her as a resident. We greatly regret that decision. The majority of the nursing staff was dismissive of her health needs to the degree that vital medication was not dispensed in a timely manner. She was frequently left sitting in excrement for hours, once almost 24 hours, resulting in wounds on her buttocks and back. Her dietary restrictions were regularly ignored, resulting in the family ordering food being delivered to her. Unfortunately we were operating from out of state so we couldn't monitor her care in person. She has since been released to hospice care where her aides are appalled by the condition her many wounds. The greatest travesty is the lack of oversight for a location recommended by Medicare & Medicaid agencies. The management staff need to be held accountable. If at all possible, avoid this place at all costs.

First time ever calling Maintenance they come into my apartment and take half of my water heater…read moreapart then tells me we'll get you fixed and did not come back until about 3 to 5 hours later. I left to go shopping at Walmart. I come back to my apartment and they used all of my clean towels that were hanging up and drying. They used it to clean up their mess from the water heater. My bathtub was clean and they left dirt in my bathtub where you wash yourself. They tracked dirt all through my apartment and salt due to the weather that we have been having. I do not recommend this corporation to anybody you people have just lost a tenant and probably will lose more. Buckner properties would be ashamed. If ANYBODY lives in the Cookeville TN area looking for apartments or houses or even a condo I would call and recommend BUCKNER PROPERTIES!!!! Ask to speak to Mike very nice guy.

My dad was here for rehab…read more The place looks secure. It isn't. Anyone can drive and/or walk in at any time of day and no one will question why you are there. Many unlocked doors at all hours. The "security gate" is rarely attended, and even then they do not check incoming or outgoing traffic. The staff, although friendly and tries their best, is not adequate for the sheer number of temporary and permanent residents. They also lack basic resources, like working equipment, much less modern equipment. The amenities are terrible. No wi-fi. I realize many of your patients are older, but a great deal of them are into technology and would love to use their laptops for their own entertainment. I tried to find a cart (or luggage cart) to haul some stuff to my dad while he was here (a stereo and DVD player and storage) but nothing like that is to be found. Really??? In a place where people stay and are moving in and out all of the time, similar to a hotel, you have no way to help your patients feel more at home?!?!? Ridiculous. The food, although meeting nutritional guidelines, is quite bland and mediocre. Finally, the complex itself is an endless maze of nothing making sense. Their is no central check in, so good luck finding who you are looking for. I've been trying to not write this, since their is a chance of my dad going back, but we will pick a different rehab facility next time.

Great service, and amazing people there. I went in for an ingrown toenail removal and was very…read morenervous but the two lady's I had working on my foot made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. The worst part was the numbing needle and I would have rather felt that than the toenail being taken out. They gave me easy steps to follow for the healing process and scheduled a check up 3 weeks after to make sure it's healing correctly. If you have an ingrown I would definitely recommend coming here. They also got me a spot the next day I called where my normal provider had a wait list for a month.

While in Indianapolis this weekend, I went with my friend to visit her mother who recently became a…read moreresident of Independence Village in Avon. I was impressed from the minute I walked in the door. The receptionist was so welcoming, and she and my friend had a great conversation upon entering. The first thing I noticed was how clean the facility is (it was recently freshly painted) and how wide the hallways are, which allows easy access for walkers, etc. We went up to her mother's one bedroom apartment on the third floor and it was a good size for one person, complete with kitchen facilities and a big bathroom. (There are studios, and one- and two-bedroom apartments and I was able to see all of them on my visit.) While walking the hallways, I noticed the colorful artwork on the walls, the theater, the library, the activities center and several other amenities that indicated to me this was more a community than a "nursing home". It is quite a cheerful and friendly atmosphere. We then went down to lunch and sat with her and another resident. They both stated the food was quite good and they liked the selections provided for each meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The dining room is spacious, and the staff is amazing, friendly and interactive. While sitting in the dining room, the Director, Sue, came to the table to talk to her residents and we had a pleasant conversation also. I told her how impressed I was with this facility, and she thanked me, but also thanked me for allowing her to administer to "our loved ones that we put in her care". I was impressed! Sue definitely is dedicated and takes special pride in making sure the residents are well cared for and happy. If you are looking for a place to care for your loved ones when the time comes, I suggest you look no further than this facility. It really is top-notch! It also has a Memory Care facility. Although I did not visit that section, my friend said it is just as impressive.
