This winery is such a change from the small town that is about 10 minutes away from it. The staff here are warm, friendly and as bubbly as the the wine they provide to their guests. The food is fresh and made to order which is phenomenal. The prices for the wines and the foods are super reasonable. That's where the location and the place itself, the owners really did a great job with detail and making it warm and welcoming to both families, couples, and anyone looking to just relax and have some ambiance. The winery overlooks a small Lake in the back. They also have cornhole and live entertainment on some nights. There's enough space in this location to have parties and still accommodate individual guest. We didn't go into the Antique building and the winery was closed while we were there. The main building up front has a very interesting interior. They have a food counter that advertised sandwiches, pizza and ice cream, however even at noon the day we were there, there was not one working in that area. They have some really cool little displays, a cool old since set up with the soap area, there is a few boats set up inside and an old truck, the bathroom area looks like a cabin. The far section of the store is a boutique with all sores of female clothing, and boots. There is everything from cheese, canned goods, beer cave and a wine tasting area to try the local bourbon and wine, but again it appeared that was not opened. I would like to come back and check this place out when everything is open and running.

Inside, the winery boasts Missouri wines from Missouri grapes, but it also has some very unique, tasty mead wines (not mead in a beer style). Since the website said they were open, I called, asked if they were open, and was told the sign on the door said to ring the door bell if the door was locked. It didn't look like a high crime area, so I was a little puzzled by that. I will say that the woman behind the counter was obliging, told us about the wines, and let us sample a few. Feeling a little sheepish--and even a little intrusive--about being the only ones there, we got glasses of wine, rummaged through the too-sparse collection of table games, drank the wine, and left. One truck passed on the road the entire time. I can't give this place a high review, based on this bizarre, minimalistic experience as a customer, but I don't want to say it is bad, either. The only thing I want is an answer to "WTH just happened."

The wine tasting gives you four glasses from one of these categories: red, white, and sweet. Afterwards you get to choose which one you want a full glass of. Their flatbreads taste good and there is a good variety of options. I would prefer a larger sized portion even if at a few dollars more. Their crepes tasted great. Their 3 egg omelette is the most refined one I've had to date. Despite being outside, the waitress was great in stopping and checking on us. Want to do a wine tasting and have children? What a friendly place for that. The view is beautiful outside with a small pond. There is a "petting zoo" with plenty of friendly animals. Come visit them.
