This winery is such a change from the small town that is about 10 minutes away from it. The staff here are warm, friendly and as bubbly as the the wine they provide to their guests. The food is fresh and made to order which is phenomenal. The prices for the wines and the foods are super reasonable. That's where the location and the place itself, the owners really did a great job with detail and making it warm and welcoming to both families, couples, and anyone looking to just relax and have some ambiance. The winery overlooks a small Lake in the back. They also have cornhole and live entertainment on some nights. There's enough space in this location to have parties and still accommodate individual guest. If you're ever in Pittsburg Kansas, you need to stop at this winery and enjoy the libations and and atmosphere it provides.

You can explore the beautiful property via horse back riding. Our guide Dylan was personable and knowledgeable of the property. They have a petting zoo right next to the tasting room with the cutest and friendliest animals. What really took the cake though was the overnight getaway. After a full day of drinking wine, speaking with the owners, enjoying the views, and petting the animals. We stayed in the covered wagon where we enjoyed a beautiful starry night. Isinglass truly has it all and I can't wait to go back!

Service was pretty good -- a bit slow at times which is worrisome because there was basically no one there. Hope they speed it up when there are crowds. The wine though, is atrocious. I have a background/education in wine and drink it often and this may be some of the worst wine I've ever tasted. My advise, go for the atmosphere, food, and cocktails. Pretend the wine doesn't even exist. If they didn't consider themselves a winery, I would give them a 4 but you can't be a winery with terrible wine and get a 4/5

Be aware that it is a wee bit of a drive from KCK. The last 4 miles or so is on white gravel roads. I wasn't so happy about that. At least they were mostly flat and lil bit potholes. Plan to wash your car afterwards. Hehehe. Wifey and I enjoyed our time here. Talked to a very personable young lady serving us. Told us about the different types of wines & how they tasted. She also had a small cup of mini dark chocolate chips (DCC) and oyster crackers (OC). The DCC with the red wines changed the flavors very nicely. The OC was for the white wines. I'm always tryin weird stuff with tastings. So of course I have a DCC with one of the semi sweet white wines and BAMB!!! Ohh baby!!! It was weird, but the flavors were pretty good! Yeah yeah of course I can't remember which white it was. I guess we gotta go back to try and figure it out? Hehehe. Ok ok, so after the tasting, wifey got a glass of the Sangria and I got a glass of the Wild Fire. We also got the bread with the olive oil Parmesan dip. It does have red peppers inside the dip, but it was a subtle kick. We go the Nighthawk Nachos later since I wanted another glass of Wild Fire. Well, I'd better get going. I was amazed at the never ending rows of apple trees - this place is huge! They do charge to go pick the apples, but it's only $5 and that gets you access to the whole farm which includes: you-pick apples, corn maze, pumpkin patch, kids play area, wagon rides, and more! If you are not up for that, there are pre-picked apples in the market for sale and you don't have to pay the entrance fee. I also didn't do any of the kid's play things or ride the wagon and I found the $5 fee absolutely worth it. I would pay that just to walk the premises and take it all in! The whole place is beautiful. Plus, for however many people are in your group, you get that many pounds of apples free (my husband and I got 2 free pounds). There's just nothing like a fresh picked apple straight from the tree! Even the most expensive apples at the grocery store do not compare to the flavor and the experience at Pome on The Range! I highly recommend a visit and I have told all my friends and family to check this place out! ;)
