I have been to Delaware Park many times with my aunt and uncle who regularly gamble here. They have a good slot machine selection including some of my favorite machine, Stinkin' Rich. Everyone is friendly. Never had any issues. On my last visit, we had dinner at the High Steaks Brewery which does not seem to have its own Yelp listing. I had the chicken strips and fries. Both were nicely fried and came hot. They brought me ranch dressing for dipping. Overall a fun place to gamble and have a nice bite to eat. read more

Delaware Park continues to be a waste of potential and opportunity. They had a Kentucky Derby event at the Terrace, and because they were hosting a private party upstairs at 6pm next to the Terrace, they put us in the same ridiculous room as before at 12pm. At least we knew this time, and chose to go only because it was Derby Day. Not one attendee liked being in that room. At least this time, they did a better job of keeping out the casino traffic and they weren't traipsing through like they did the last time. But my seat by the trashcan was not enjoyable. We ate at High Steaks 1x and the food was good. I am a slots player, low budget, minimum bet player. I can't remember the last time I had a winning visit! I don't expect bonuses on every game I play, but more times than not, I'm losing at every single slot! How is that even possible?! I stopped here to get a cheesesteak after dropping my granddaughter in Maryland. The cheesesteak is decent but not the best. However, it has a lot of meat in it. The ambiance is not great and it's really dark inside the seating area. It feels a bit deserted like no one journeys to that end of the casino. The casino continues to change and not for the better. I am a video poker player. The casino decided to build an outdoor section to the casino. Focused on smokers, I assume. Many of the interesting video poker machines have been moved outdoors. It is Delaware, it is cold out there. I tried to play only because no one was smoking and I was the only one playing video poker. It was simply too cold. I do not smoke and it was a pleasure when casinos went non-smoking. This casino is a bit outdated but the slots ranged from old penny slots with handles to very updated $40 bet slots. Second floor felt a bit like the shining with the dull carpets and wooden panel bars. The dealers were very nice though at the tables we visited. Parking was a long walk and the lot felt sketchy. I will immediately start off by stating that this review has nothing to do with the gambling or wins / losses, but EVERYTHING to do with what I believe is an EVIDENT lack of gender diversity at the right decision making tables because within a virtually 24/7 round the clock casino there is not one single solitary feminine product dispensing machine (paid or unpaid) in a restroom in the entire building which includes the employee restrooms! How is this even possible in 2023? I literally asked every single housekeeping attendant who embarrassingly felt ashamed to tell me that they took the paying dispensers out a while ago after they were being broken into, then I proceeded to ask every other female employee I saw including dealers to which one was kind enough to say that on her break she would give me a tampon she keeps in her purse for emergencies ... to only have her realize that once it was break time and she got to her purse that she didn't have one with her (& she too felt so bad because she wanted to help, I then proceeded to do what I would consider to be PANHANDLING FOR TAMPONS OR PADS in the restroom by asking every single woman who walked in if she had one to spare since there were none in the entire casino, to which I discovered most of the female patrons didn't have products either as they were beyond the age of a monthly cycle (yet a couple of them brainstormed on how to literally use other means to get the protection - piling paper towels in my panties, using a COVID mask) then one woman recommended I check the gift shop because they said they believed they should carry them .... so I ran there and while the cashier believed they carried them upon searching for them they literally had none ... NONE! How does the one retailer in the casino NOT have them when the casino ripped the machines out of the female restrooms???! My last hope was security who immediately hopped into action (& he was a male) and he couldn't believe there were no products in the restrooms for purchase or for free so he called a supervisor and explained the situation, again, apologizing to me for the inconsideration of the casino, the female supervisor arrived promptly, again, apologizing on behalf of the inconsideration of the casino and provided me with her PERSONAL feminine napkin! How are there not even emergency supplies for patrons or employees in this place???? This casino knows you will be in it for HOURS at a time and sometimes without a way to drive to a CVS or Walgreens (if you are on a bus trip) and they will of course take as much money as you can give them, yet they don't have the decency to provide women with options to purchase or provide complimentary tampons or pads!!!!??!?!!!! Oh and let me not forget to mention that on top of this they then also have the nerve to have WHITE SEATS at table games for you to leave blood stains on should you not have a tampon or pad or just so happen to have an accident while gambling ... literally the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER when it doesn't have to be because it could be prevented by basic human decency and by having female representation in the room when decisions are being made!!!! Obviously this was a race track and slot first, later adding table games. Nothing wrong with that. Just the grounds seemed very dated. The main issue is that from parking lot to inside is a good half mile walk. And when you have to GO, and I mean GO BAD, this was very troubling. I had to speed walk with them tensed together, and thanks to a great experience like this I was able to navigate to the nearest porcelain before the flood gates were opened. After a long pit stop, I walked back through the casino. Tables looked nice, chips were very cheap looking - might want to upgrade to the tophat and cane Paulsens soon. I absolutely love this place! There is nowhere better to come and watch live horse racing in the summer. There is no fee to enter the facility and plenty of seats both in the shade and the sun. For $5, one can have a reserved seat for the day. The food is decently priced with a stone-fired pizza oven and beers on tap. Complimentary water bottles are at the bar for the asking. They also simulcast all the major races on the big screen located in the center of the horse track. We come here frequently in the summer as it is very child-friendly. read more

I live close to DP and regularly patronized the casino. When they were bought out, it seemed like it was going to good. Physical change was needed; however, it has rapidly gone downhill. I'm a slot player and while the changes made are pretty, the machines have been wound tight. I see some winners but mostly high rollers. You have to play a lot to leave with 20.00...if you're lucky. I completely understand people have jobs to do and following protocol for covid is essential however, I do not deserve to be treated the way I was treated there today. I did not realize at first that I needed my face mask up while sitting at a slot and was told I needed to (perfectly fine) but then this woman that worked there insisted on watching my every move and kept taunting me as if I was an idiot. If you go there with your significant other be sure to maintain your distance from them too because apparently I was too close to my boyfriend as well... that was our last straw, he cashed out and we left. AWFUL, the longest renovation in the history of casinos. Monday thru Wednesday only one place to eat. The second floor smells, I didn't know if its the old rug or the dirt. This casino has not been properly maintained over the years. The rest rooms are dirty and trash everywhere. I used to love going to Delaware Park even thought I had to travel out of my state to get there. This is not my first time being disappointed in Delaware Park, but I saw them going through renovations and I thought things would improve, they have not and now the areas that did get some attention seem abandoned, empty machine stands, cordoned off areas where nothing seems to be getting done. My girlfriend and I stopped to grab something to eat and check out the casino for a future visit. We ate at Legends and had loaded fries and rib sliders (from the appetizer side of the bar menu). The rib sliders were dry ribs with a piece of cheese on a 3 slider buns $13. The fries were melted cheese fries with pieces of bacon. By the time we were about finished we realized the "dirty wash cloth" smell was coming from the fries and after further research we found out that's from old or bad frier oil! Within two hours BOTH of us were "riding the Hershey highway!" Seriously though, we are burping up this stank that could melt a toothbrush and now I've got a fat lip from one of the fights over the bathroom! My ass is so chapped and can't get far enough from the toilet to get some ointment! I'm actually writing most of this while sitting on the toilet! As far as the casino goes... You have to be out of your mind if you think it's a nice place!! It's so dated, dirty, dark, and dingy! It's as if management doesn't give a shit about its appearance... I observed garbage dumpsters (the huge ones with wheels that someone can push around to collect several bags) off to the side in the grandstand of the track. They had pay phones that worked!! Disclaimer: Review is on casino only. Delaware Park has one of the nicest selection of slot machines I've seen from Hangover to Godzilla to Sex In The City Diamonds and Wizard Of Oz to Betty Boop etc. The newest machines are always on the first floor closest to the entrance. Unlike casinos, such as Parx, the machines at De Park are not constantly shuffled around on the floor. De Park also gets props for being a smoke free casino that is super easy to get to. What I don't like about Delaware Park is that I spend more time parking and walking to and from my car then actually playing. Or you can spend $4 to valet. Aside from the initial rewards (2 $25 then $50 then $100 vouchers to be used 24 hours apart); incentives are piddly: $10 slot dollars if you can manage to get them via email. I've tried contacting via phone, via Facebook page and in person and to this day I still don't get the emails. Customer service is nonexistent at this establishment. One of the biggest annoyances is that slot dollars aren't automatically added to your card, like Parx or Harrahs. You have to wait in a maze to get slot dollars activated on your card. I recommend going only if you have money to burn and want to be entertained by all the bells and whistles of a machine awarding you .30 cents on $3.00 per pull machine. read more

My Mom and I look forward to a little gambling then treating ourselves to a delicious dessert before boarding our bus. We were not at all satisfied this last trip. First, they only had one person working and the line was very long. Then after waiting about 30 minutes, we started to place our order and they didn't have much of anything left. If it were late in the evening, I would have been able to understand however it was 5:30 PM. When I tell you they didn't have much of anything, I'm not exaggerating. They only had the following ice creams: strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. Other desserts that were in the case: pecan blondies, brownies, chocolate covered pretzel rods and cheesecake. If I'm going to spend my money gambling, at least have a nice slice of apple pie and Bing cherry ice cream to ease the pain of the money I lost gambling. Great fun at the race track on a hot and sunny day, was impressed at the interior where casino was, old Victorian ceilings and wooden carvings on stairs-- some nice chandeliers, it gave the place character. I've only gone on to the Delaware Park Online Casino a few times. Yes, each time I lost the $100 or so dollars I deposited and I'm fine with that, I had my fun. Low and behold, I deposited $100 the other day by credit card/debit card. Money was in my account within seconds as usual. After playing for a bit I find I'm up $400 and my account balance is $500 and change. GOOD LUCK EVER COLLECTING THAT MONEY! First, after having difficulty finding the "cashier" I learn that I'm in the wrong site. Mind you, I got to this site through the Delaware Park App. The app actually dumps you into a different platform not connected to Delaware Park. You have to go into delaware park igaming site and DOWNLOAD the software of the actual site your playing. (Confused Yet) Once you download from that site, you now have access to the "Cashier". I requested my withdrawal which was approved instantly EXCEPT they now need to verify I am who I say I am. Must be easy to verify, Right? Yeah Right. First, you need to download your ID (State issued or Passport) however the document you download must have first been verified by a Notary Public and you must have the document your sending notarized! Second, you need to download a copy of the credit card you used to make your deposit. Did I forget to mention, this document must be notarized as well! Third, you need to download a copy of a bill that comes to your address on record. Don't forget to notarize this too, or back to start you go. All set right? Nope, now they want a copy of your bank statements and/or voided check where you are asking for the money to go by ACH. WHAT, you now want a copy of the credit card I used several months ago because it is listed on my account. Considering I didn't use this credit card for this deposit BECAUSE I CANCELLED THAT CARD and used the one I just received, so I no longer have it. I started this process around 11:00am, it is now 2:49pm and I have received 6, yes count them, 6 emails requesting different things or asking to resend things. I'll stop back in the couple of weeks and let you know IF I ever received the money or not. My bet, NOT. Wow, a new email telling me why they won't authorize the withdrawal. You'll love this note from them, "You mentioned that you no longer have the card ending in #XXXX, therefore you will need to contact your bank for them to issue you an official letter stating that the card is not longer valid and that you are the card holder". Keep in mind, I did not use the #XXXX card because it was compromised and I got a new number. The new card was used in the transaction since I didn't have the old card, obviously, but these schmucks will use any tactic to get out of paying. I have sent them a letter from my bank as requested, can't wait to see the next hurdle. HORRIBLE- Horrible- horrible If you are fine with just giving them money for a little entertainment, great, you'll have a blast, just don't win anything and expect that you'll see it, and if you do, prepare for the onslaught of paperwork, hoops and hurdles you have to navigate to even have a chance of seeing any of your winnings. Had a great time ! Play was real nice hadn't been in a couple years . My only issue is with the little coffee shop it real nice but needs more than one girl working .. she was busy all night . I saw more people walk out of line than in line .. we waited 20 minutes in line to get a cup of coffee, to head home on our bus trip ... and lady in front of us got 3 Sunday's which take a long time to make each!
