Daniel was so kind and helpful - he made the entire process incredibly easy. He was able to get the demo done in a single day and even trimmed down the bar-height pony wall so we could make the counter one height. The crew carefully protected surfaces in the home from dust and debris and cleaned up before they left. When they hauled away the debris, they were nice enough to take a few closet doors leftover from my ongoing renovation. Daniel worked with me to coordinate with other contractor schedules, and he even suggested another contractor to manage plumbing, electrical, and other needed tasks. He turned out to be great, too. TBH, the demo ended up being the easiest part of this whole process. After so many people telling me they wouldn't do stuff, it was a breath of fresh air to have someone say, "Yeah, no problem, I can help you." We had a cinder block wall covered in ivy across the rear of our property that was leaning and in…read moredanger of falling. We made several calls to demo companies to have it quoted and get input on the job. We found 1st Demo via a Google search, and they responded right away, came out to look at it, and gave us a quote. Of all the companies who looked at it, 1st Demo had the most confidence they could handle the job, and their quote was very fair for the work necessary. There were several challenges unique to our yard to deal with for this project. The ivy itself was covering a good portion of the wall, making it hard to tell the condition of the wall underneath. The wall itself was built on the top of a hillside, with our neighbor's yard and house being a good 30-40 feet below our property, and we needed the pieces of the wall to be kept to our property as it was dismantled. We also have narrow side yards, making access with the machinery needed to make the job more efficient tough (think threading a needle). They actually ended up removing a brand new fence/gate on one of our side yards to get their larger machine through, which worried us as we had just recently put it in. They promised us they would be able to re-install it afterwards like nothing had happened and they were true to their word. Having both machines in the backyard made quick work of the job, and the crew did a great job limiting the fallout of the cinder blocks to our property. Since they had the big rollup bins for hauling away the debris, they were very kind in taking some junk items from our yard unrelated to the demo and hauling them away for us. Much appreciated! After the work was finished, they also came back and raked the gravel in our side yard that the machines had displaced, and powerwashed the machinery tire tracks off our driveway, leaving no trace from our front yard they had been there. The backyard was another story...our yard was torn up by the machine going back and forth, but they were completely upfront with us that the grass would be destroyed, so we were prepared for it, and it's completely understandable after watching the whole demo take place. All in all, the crew could not have been nicer and they did a great job. If we ever need demo work again, 1st Demo will be the first call I make and I highly recommend them.

I was quoted a fair price over the phone after showing him some pictures. On demolition day they showed up on time (8:00am) and very quickly got to work on the demolition. Tarps were laid down on floors adjacent doors were sealed with tape and plastic was hung to seal off living room to reduce dust. Entire bathroom was done by about 1:00 p.m. including clean up (pretty quick in my opinion). I definitely recommend EM demolition and I would use them again.

The items taken were not trash--they included sentimental and valuable belongings like bamboo wind chimes from my parents' anniversary trip to Hawaii, beautiful garden ornaments collected over many years, unique Volkswagen collectibles, and so much more. These were not only valuable but irreplaceable. I called Matt in good faith to ask for the items back, and he claimed he would look into it. After that, he completely ghosted us. This experience was heartbreaking for our family and incredibly disappointing. Frank was sympathetic and supportive. His team of workers and himself were 100% professional and respectful at all times. The complex the work in a timely manner and exceeded my expectations. I am very happy for the help and work they did and it seems to have remedied my situation. Frank had some suggestions for improvements along the way and was very conscious of using low VOC chemicals so not to cause any harm. Frank is very knowledgeable and competent and he's reasonable and worked with me on some of the costs. I had to do some footwork to find the same finishes I had but mostly because I wanted to keep the project moving along without any delays. We were looking to expand our gardening area and needed to demolish a large amount of concrete in our backyard. It was pretty complicated given the size and shape of our backyard. Matan was our point of contact and he was able to answer our complex questions. When the project did start, he also made sure to often check on the crew and clearly communicate any updates for our project timeline.
