Eyebrow Journey I wasn't blessed when it came to the eyebrow department and it has always played a major role in my insecurities list. I took my time in finding the right professional to have it done. I did my first session in 2019 and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Found Mylene on yelp and requested an appointment. Her response time was quick, she was able to fit me into her schedule within the timeframe that I needed. She even text an appointment reminder a few days prior to confirm the appointment and to notify about Covid-19 policy. Her place is within a shopping center, behind the bank, hidden towards the back. Make sure to Look for the unit number above the door at every business, as my gps sent me to the wrong part of the lot. Her location is very clean the lobby is fancy and very welcoming once I arrived she had on protective gear reminded me of a dentist office. Bed was super comfy, which os important when you're laying still for 2-3 hrs... I fell asleep! Mylene is very professional and sweet, she explains techniques and has variety of lashes to choose from. I usually go back every 2 weeks to get refill... but not with Mylene! She told me 6weeks, and now i believe it. Pics below are almost at 2 weeks. Super happy with the Lip Blushing progress so far. Adding color all the way to the edges of my natural lips really made them look fuller. I also appreciate the way Mylene blushed my lips in a way that gave them a more natural ombre effect once healed. The picture shows lips before, then the evening after, 5 days, then 10 days. I've been looking for a place to get my eyebrows done for YEARS. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I mean it's my face. If they mess up... it's on my FACE. A friend of mine recently got her brows done and they looked really good. So I decided to give Mylene a try. She was so sweet from the moment I walked in. The facility is clean and she had hand sanitizer stationed around for use. I know so little about all the different kinds of microblading styles out there, that I actually wanted something different than I initially thought (and scheduled the appointment for) and she was all for it. I had my powder brow done by another esthetician a couple years ago. She did an unsatisfactory job on my brows that left me self-conscious. Not only were my brows not symmetrically shaped, but one was higher than the other. After a couple of years trying to draw my brows in to make them symmetrical, I decided it was time for a more permanent correction. I had wanted to do something with my eyebrows for several years, but was afraid of doing something irreversible or undergoing a process where it looked unnatural. As a 54-year-old woman, it would be easy to make my eyebrows too dark or too obviously fake. But after seeing a bunch of online pictures from Mylene, I finally decided to make the plunge.
