Great meat department; love that whole chicken (and cut pieces) are offered skinless. Boned beef…read morewas on the expensive side with small portion of meat and a lot of fat. Great selection of Middle Eastern goods; was happy to see دبس فليفلة which I haven't seen since I was in Syria and where it is made by the barrel in homes to last the year. The deli also manages good shawarma and the hummus is so delicious! I wish they were more generous with the side of it in the plate (was less than half full). The salad was tasteless; no salt/spices, nor dressing. A previous visit I purchased two cakes: one carrot and the other chocolate. The carrot cake didn't have any carrots in it (looked, but didn't taste like traditional carrot cake), and the chocolate cake wasn't good at all (bitter) except for the frosting. The 'espresso' based coffee was lukewarm and tasteless. The person put condensed milk in it which made it worse but he did remake it without charge. He kept calling me, mama, which was unsettling to me. I have a son less than half his age. I gave only 3 stars because of the overall ambiance and the discourtesy and unfriendliness of the staff. I didn't realize it, but nothing can be returned after two weeks; the manager, however, kindly did return three items.

Once inside, I noticed they sold halal meats -- I've heard their halal lamb is especially good -- along with lots of spices, snacks, and Turkish desserts. I bought one dessert to pair with coffee, and the flavor was definitely unique. I also picked up MAHMOOD Gold coffee. It tasted slightly bitter, but it was very refreshing and gave a nice energy boost. Before leaving, I ordered the Mixed Grilled Platter from the hot food section. Later, I realized I had actually meant to order shawarma -- the big slices of rotating roasted meat. The grilled meats were decent overall, though a little dry, and the butter rice became a bit heavy after a while. Still, it was a fun and interesting experience trying something different.

Baltic deli did not disappoint in the slightest. Everything was so fresh and delicious, the pierogies were perfectly pillowy. The service there is truly amazing as they were out of some of the cheese and potato pierogies when I arrived, but they quickly made a fresh batch to order for me. Outside of the counter service, Baltic deli also has a great market where you can purchase goods to prepare your own meals at home. This place feels so authentic and brings a new meaning to comfort food.

After going to the Atlanta Christkindl Market and trying pierogis for the first time and falling in love with them, I wanted to find a spot that actually sold them in store. The lady behind the counter explained all the food available to us so service was very friendly. There are a small number of tables for seating, so the ambiance inside is not loud. We got the Pierogis (Meat & Potato + Cheese) and Cucumber Salad. I loved the potato and cheese pierogis! I got them with caramelized onions and a cucumber salad on the side (there were other salad options), which had a nice dill dressing on it that paired well with pierogis. The pierogis were really soft and chewy, which I think is how they are meant to be made, but I wish the pierogis were a bit less doughy for my taste bud preference. My friend really liked the pierogis with meat, although I am not sure what kind of meat was used. This is a really quaint eatery! I think if you have not tried Polish food, then this is the place to go. I will say it was a bit pricey? Almost $16 for five pierogis (albeit they were large and filling) and a side of salad. Overall, I would probably rate this place a 4.5/5 stars if I could.
