A great place to stop for lunch! Delligattis definitely surprised me with its charm. They have plenty of unique sandwich options hot and cold. I absolutely loved my BBQ Grilled cheese. The potato salad was definitely made with love as it tasted like a long kept family recipe. Super tasty, and definitely unique I absolutely loved it. They even offer it warm which I was informed by the lovely lady working there. She was beyond kind and extremely knowledgeable about the menu she definitely enjoys working here. The vibe is the experience. Grabbed a couple of sandwiches to go from DelliGatti's and wish we'd come earlier prior to closing so we could dine in. It reminded my fiancé of a Chicago diner and he really enjoyed the atmosphere. The sandwiches, however, were just okay. We ordered the Chicken Philly Sub with a Pickle, and the Philly Sandwich with a side of Italian Pasta Salad. My Philly Sandwich was pretty dry despite the cheese and veggies that should have helped lessen said issue, and it was pretty bland. The Pasta Salad was EXCEPTIONALLY bland and I did not finish it because it felt like more of a chore to eat than anything. The bite I had out of my fiancé's Chicken Philly had me wishing I'd ordered it instead. It was better all around from seasoning to meat-tenderness. We're glad we tried this deli, but we're not sure we'll return. My fiancé's a huge sub sandwich fan, so it was a little bit of an extra let down. read more

I loved my sandwich! It had avocado, chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle Mayo. The chicken was seasoned well and the bacon was thick and crispy without being burned and somehow now chewy for how thick it was cut. The bread is incredibly soft and the Chipotle Mayo on the side was probably the best touch. The pasta salad was great also. Only reason I'm docking a point is the price. I understand things cost more these days but $15 for a sandwich and side with no drink felt high. I'll be back but maybe not as frequently as I would if it was less expensive. read more

I ordered for delivery and the food held up pretty well. Both sandwiches had good bread that was not stale or dry. The meats were also tasty and tender, and had a decent amount. The philly did feel as it could have used way more cheese and onions/peppers. read more

I felt it was time to leave a review for DelliGatti's. There's nothing flashy about this sandwich shop as Jerry just makes good food. We've had most of the sandwiches and for us, there haven't been any misses. I particularly enjoy a non-sandwich item, the Anti pasta salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Truly a hidden gem. DelliGatti's deserves to be talked about in the same lines as Gino's and the other top tier sandwhich shops in San Antonio. Their selection is diverse and ever changing. This also includes Dailey lunch specials and soup of the weeks which are always delectable. I liked that club has pieces of actual chicken breast instead of just the sliced deli meat type, and it was seasoned well. The bacon was crispy and the lettuce and tomato were fresh too. My husband picked it up to-go, so not sure if this is normally already on it, but they included a spicy mayo (or dressing?) on the side that was A++. We just moved to this neighborhood and hadn't been yet, but today was the day and I was starving so I ordered my husband an italian, myself a club, and then added a side of pasta salad, potato salad, and a cup of chicken sausage gumbo. The sandwiches are huge, but better than that the meat is the real deal, not thin little slices- my Turkey breast on the club was legitimately 3/4in thick. The pasta salad was super tasty, the potato salad was a hit and I wish I'd gotten 2 sides because even our 1 year old got involved and ate most of that off our plates, the soup was clearly prepped in house and was also delicious. My only regret was not going sooner! Service was polite, and very fast, the interior appears to have not changed anytime recently, but it didn't need to be.
