My 1st time for lunch was fantastic!! Sat at the bar with Ashley (I think?) Anyway she was super cool. Offered a couple selections one of which I ordered. Toasted bread with roast beef and more goodies! The meat was fresh thin sliced super tasty. Found some new juice, some frarmer cherry juice or something. Delicious, believe I drank 4!! Short version: Cheba is a MUST TRY if you haven't already! My first experience, Cheba hut in a Little town outside of Denver, Greely, and it was outstanding. While we were out and about, I asked him to look up a place and he freaked out because he said there's a Cheba Hut here! Question is search abilities, I said are you sure? He said yeah and gave me directions. We were both shocked and pleasantly surprised. The sandwiches taste amazing!! I've been to this location multiple times over the last 2 years, the sub never disappoints! My boyfriend's favorite is the Kali Mist. My favorites are the Power Plant and Apollo 13. There is hardly ever a long line and service is quick. You place your order with the cashier then get a table "number" card but instead it's a band. Pretty cool concept. Someone will then bring your order to you once ready. I've never tried the drinks from the bar but I am curious. The service was great! All of the workers at the front were very kind and patient; and they made accommodations for my friend who was getting one to go but also dining in! They made the second sub right before we left, so that it wouldn't get soggy when she got home. The interior is highly decorated with a lot of stickers and illustrations. The service was excellent amd the vibes were great. Here are the positives of the food, They have a garlic bread option and the ingredients were extremely fresh. The negative was 2 12 inch subs and some cheesy bread for $50 is madness to me. The other issue I had was ingredient overload. One of the menu items I picked had 5 different meats, loads of veggies, and a ton of different cheeses and spices. A very interesting concept at a sandwich spot. Once you get past the stoner references, the spot is top notch. Hands down best fast sandwich you can grab in town while also able to grab a beer. Within the same space is a bar. I will admit their cocktails are whack. A bunch of mixed artificial flavor nonsense but still a cool vibe. They even have liquor too. I enjoyed the suggestion from the man at the register on the sandwich side of the place. Had the AK-47 with a bag of hot Cheetos. All of the flavors are fresh and they have some solid stoner options with interesting ingredient combinations. They also seem to have different events depending on the day. This has quickly become one of our favorite sub-shops, and the service is a big reason why. Oriana behind the bar is fantastic and makes the best drinks. I definitely recommend the Buzzed Bong Water, but honestly, they are all good. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcomed and taken care of. She provided great service, had great conversation, and made the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. I always enjoy coming in to watch the Spurs play, and the staff is awesome every time. They engage with you, make you feel welcome, and always provide great service. The food is great, the atmosphere is fun, and it is just an easy place to hang out and enjoy yourself. Also, make sure you check out the secret menu, or just ask the staff for recommendations. They know what they are talking about and have some great suggestions. I definitely recommend the Midwest Best, and you can't forget the Kool-Aid and Krispy Bars. When it comes to toasted subs I'm partial to Potbelly but I've read good things about Cheba Hut so I gave it a chance and wanted to like it. I ordered a large Italian sub. They were out of my favorite chips so I just had the sub and had grape Kool Aid as a drink. Even though it was packed inside, I was able to get a seat. My sub was brought to me and made the way I liked it without cheese and their secret sauce. I wanted mustard instead. The sub was okay but they were overzealous with the onions and the mustard. After finishing the sandwich, I ordered a lemon blueberry cookie and that was really good. It was soft and reminded me of a muffin top. read more

Cheba Hut's subs cannot be beat! After our first visit to Cheba Hut we were excited to return for more sub sandwich deliciousness, and this visit was just as fantastic! This time around we ordered an 8" Pinner Magic Mushroom (no tomato on white bread), an 8" Pinner Jamaican Red (no onion on white bread), and the Berry Patch drink. My fiancé's Jamaican Red, the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and marinated excellently, the veggies were crispy and juicy, and the spicy hot sauce and savory house dressing complemented each other so well without drowning out the flavors of everything on the sandwich. We sipped on the Berry Patch drink together, though we wished we'd purchased another drink as it was so good. It was tangy and sweet and we kept going back to the drink machines for refills. Though I have always been hesitant to try out veggie sandwiches, I figured that if there was a place that could do it right it was Cheba Hut, and they exceeded my expectations. The Magic Mushroom, their Teriyaki Shroom Sandwich, was absolutely stuffed with veggie goodness that it was almost hard to pick up. I could barely hold the sandwich closed and the bottom of the sub split open there was so much to be had. There were just enough mushrooms to live up to its name but not enough to overpower the rest of the blend of delicious veggies. The teriyaki and pineapple brought an excellent sweetness to the sub while the generous amount of Parmesan cheese added another subtle layer of heartiness that I was not anticipating from cheese alone. All of the flavors came together so so well and blended so harmoniously that it would have been a crime not to enjoy it. Once again, we are actively planning our next visit to Cheba Hut. We love the funky atmosphere, the friendly staff, and searching through the sticker wall for our favorite characters and fandoms while we wait for our order. Just like the first SA location over in Alamo Ranch, this location of Cheba Hut is outstanding in both quality and customer service. I had to get the Pacific Blue again, as I had been craving it since my last visit, and my husband got the Dank. Both sandwiches were totally on point, with fresh toppings and the perfect amount to get us to full. I also ordered the Loaded Not'chos, which were quite spicy due to the sheer amount of hot sauce on them, and I savored every bite. These toasted subs are beyond delicious! I have been going to their Alamo Ranch location for a couple years now and so glad to see this expansion. I had the Midwest Best Club with Roasted turkey breast, smoked ham, bacon, dijonnaise, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake & House dressing...PERFECT! All of the ingredients are so fresh and pack so much flavor. Make sure to get it in their Garlic Bread, so good! So many choices and each is awesome.
