Wicked wich is a staple downtown for sandwiches, they have a sandwich of the week, you can get their sandwiches cold or hot and they're made hot and fresh. They are less busy at night, but pick up speed in the lunch time and it may be hard to order so get here early! I always get the hero because it's tasty and has all my favorite vegetables. You can get soda cans and chips. The vibe is awesome it's my fav sandwich place in the city and the most clean! read more

one of the best sandwiches ive had in SA. we saw online the opening of the new location on bandera, but decided to go to the one on fred rd. i got the weekly special, the chicken club and it was SOOO good and fresh and full of chicken. my bf got the italian which was super good, im personally just not a huge fan of the italian meats BUT i would eat this one again. service was amazing. We came before the lunch rush and there were 2 customers after us but they both got their orders before us so we were kind of disappointed by that. Cool decor and memorabilia art. As for the sandwiches, we got the Wemby & The Beast. I can't say that this place was made for me. But that's because it was made for every other child of the 80s and 90s who wants a cool throwback Between the video game machine and the music that they play and the television shows on the TV it was an amazing feeling to get back to my childhood. That being said none of that would matter unless the sandwich was good. Thankfully, my Italian was wonderful. Food was okay. Not a big deal as I thought it would be. I was expecting lots of flavors or at least a very unique taste from other reviews but was a bit disappointed. First, the bread isn't long and they don't put a lot of meat in it, but veggies. Secondly, in my opinion, the sandwich and a soda is over priced and not worth it. Service was fast and easy. Not too many customers when I walked in. The place isn't that big and only has 2 or 3 small tables to seat and eat. There are high chairs by the front windows that you can sit down, if no tables are empty. Overall, I would rather go to subway because you get a bigger bread and meet for the price. read more

The Wicked Witch is one of my newest favorite mom and pop sandwich places next to Zito's. The service was friendly and the place inside is super clean. I ordered a large Italian with mustard, no mayo, toasted with a bag of Zipp's voodoo chips and a Mexican Coke. Total was about $12. My sub was made the way I liked it and was very yummy. Parking lot is tiny and off a major street and finding a spot can be a bit of a challenge so I had to be innovative and park on a nearby side street. I'd return again. read more

Wow!! I've been seeing this spot on Tik Tok and Instagram and I've been wanting to try for months, and today I finally did! My wife and I took our sandwiches to go. I ordered The Beast and my wife ordered The Wemby Stack. I gotta say, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Talk about great sandwiches. DELICIOUS! These people were busting their butts providing great customer service and grinding out those sandwiches to the customers. The place was a cool little spot and had a nice vibe. They have a Galaga game you can play. If I had the time, I would have played my wife a few games. I've been going to various places around town and have walked away disappointed. Some places are all hype, or they overkill a meal. Not The Wicked Wich, though. They delivered in every aspect. Right amount of everything. The bread is soft. They take out some of the inside of the rolls - which is great - because they stuff it with their fresh ingredients. Their sandwich meats were perfectly sliced/shaved. My fiancé had tried them at their previous location and brought me here.This one looked so nice I liked the mirrored window with their logo. Finally found a sandwich shop that uses sprouts on their sandwiches! I absolutely love sprouts on my sandwiches so when this place came up in my search for "sandwiches", I had to try it out! Be prepared to look for parking tho, if you happen to go on a busy day! I went during the week so it wasn't busy but the parking is right off the main road so if it's full you will find yourself circling the block. Modest little place with cute witchy decor! The small room up front is designed so sound bouncing off hard surfaces is worst in this room. I have had to ask to be relocated twice from this room due the sound level. The kitchen area in the front do not have doors to abd from the kitcgen to the dinibg rooms. Another design flaw, as a result the seating areas loud sound comes into the kitchen area. I can not imagine how the staff communicate to each other in this work setting.

The staff clearly enjoys what they do, and that positive energy is infectious. Even with a steady stream of customers, my sandwich, (Tom Tom) a masterpiece of fresh ingredients and creative pairings, arrived quickly and my wife's sandwich (Poolside) was loaded with Doritos - who would have thought? My nostalgia meter went off the charts when I noticed Power Rangers on the TV, a delightful throwback that added to the laid-back, unpretentious atmosphere. Everytime I walk into the wicked wich I am greeted by Feliza. I've walked in with my bicycle and I am allowed to place it along the wall out of the walk way.
