The gal that took my order (the manager) asked if I wanted to sub another protein. I said more hummus was fine and she suggested the chickpea salad. Oh yeah! I love chickpea everything (hence double hummus) so YES PLEASE! This was a great sub. It went so well with the arugula, sprouts, and relish. Had been meaning to go by and glad I finally did. This place surpassed my expectations. The place is rather small but it's clean and tidy. I can't say that this place was made for me. But that's because it was made for every other child of the 80s and 90s who wants a cool throwback Between the video game machine and the music that they play and the television shows on the TV it was an amazing feeling to get back to my childhood. We ordered two sandwiches to take home yesterday . . . the full Wemby and a cheesesteak sandwich. We split them both. While the cheesesteak was perfectly fine, it wasn't the best we ever had. No star deductions, because nothing was really wrong with it. The Wemby on toasted bread, however, was a totally different story. It was the perfect blend of everything - definitely a must-try. Almost as important, the kitchen facilities were immaculate (completely open in plan view for every customer). OSHA should use the Bandera location for the cleanliness standard. We wanted to go back today, but it is Sunday. We'll be going back this week to try the Rodeo and the Tuna . . . or maybe even another Wemby.
