    Ceza with chickpea salad sub.
    Kristina B.

These sandwiches are delicious, fresh, full of flavor, and the services it top notch! First it's a small venue with a free table and a little dark inside. Next time I need to take a picture of the menu because it's not really the same as the one online. I believe the online menu is where you will find the vegan/vegetarian options. It's entirely possible that I'm my panic to order, I missed it, but I don't think I did. Anyway, I went up to the counter to order the Ceza. It was either, cheese, hummus, arugula, sprouts, ranch, onions, relish. Lots of goodies. I asked for it without turkey and ranch. The gal that took my order (the manager) asked if I wanted to sub another protein. I said more hummus was fine and she suggested the chickpea salad. Oh yeah! I love chickpea everything (hence double hummus) so YES PLEASE! This was a great sub. It went so well with the arugula, sprouts, and relish. The mild chickpea flavor and the tangy relish were *chef's kiss*. Also the bread is fantastic. Slight crunchiness on the outside and pillowy softness on the inside. I cannot let another year go by before coming back. 10/10!

    Rodeo Clown

Love this local sandwich shop, with some truly wicked wiches. I ordered the rodeo clown which had a nice spice to it. Good quality meats, good bread, amazing flavor, cool vibes, friendly service. You can make your own sandwich or order one of their signature sandwiches. Either way you can't go wrong.

Wicked wich is a staple downtown for sandwiches, they have a sandwich of the week, you can get their sandwiches cold or hot and they're made hot and fresh. They are less busy at night, but pick up speed in the lunch time and it may be hard to order so get here early! I always get the hero because it's tasty and has all my favorite vegetables. You can get soda cans and chips. The vibe is awesome it's my fav sandwich place in the city and the most clean!

I won't waste your time with a long winded review. These sandwiches are epic. Service is phenomenal. The building perfectly setup. All around i wish I could give more stars than the 5 allowed. Good price, good portion and amazing taste. Definitely be back and back again

Had been meaning to go by and glad I finally did. This place surpassed my expectations. The place is rather small but it's clean and tidy. I had the rodeo clown with bacon and avocado some chips and a drink. It was amazing and very flavorful I highly recommend this place and definitely going back to try their other sandwiches 8 out of 10

    Wemby Stack. Delicious.

We came before the lunch rush and there were 2 customers after us but they both got their orders before us so we were kind of disappointed by that. Cool decor and memorabilia art. As for the sandwiches, we got the Wemby & The Beast. The Wemby was a definite 10/10 stacked and flavorful in every bite The Beast was .. okay. 7.5/10 It was pretty good but I didn't really enjoy the bread that was used so if they have other options for it I'd def like to try it again. Seeing it next to the Wemby Stack def showed the value missing in amounts of ingredients

I can't say that this place was made for me. But that's because it was made for every other child of the 80s and 90s who wants a cool throwback Between the video game machine and the music that they play and the television shows on the TV it was an amazing feeling to get back to my childhood. That being said none of that would matter unless the sandwich was good. Thankfully, my Italian was wonderful. It was so good that after fighting me about it my child ate it and also admitted that it was good. We will definitely be back for sandwiches and video games

one of the best sandwiches ive had in SA. we saw online the opening of the new location on bandera, but decided to go to the one on fred rd. i got the weekly special, the chicken club and it was SOOO good and fresh and full of chicken. my bf got the italian which was super good, im personally just not a huge fan of the italian meats BUT i would eat this one again. service was amazing. there are only a few tables but we found a seat against window

Vibes are immaculate just like their food! We ordered the mae melt and the tom tom (turkey) this time -- both were unique and had great flavor. I lowkey just wished there was a litttttle more meat on my tom tom sammy but other than that, it was another fantastic visit to the neighborhood sandwhich shop!

    Inside.
    Frankie M.

Food was okay. Not a big deal as I thought it would be. I was expecting lots of flavors or at least a very unique taste from other reviews but was a bit disappointed. First, the bread isn't long and they don't put a lot of meat in it, but veggies. Secondly, in my opinion, the sandwich and a soda is over priced and not worth it. Service was fast and easy. Not too many customers when I walked in. The place isn't that big and only has 2 or 3 small tables to seat and eat. There are high chairs by the front windows that you can sit down, if no tables are empty. Overall, I would rather go to subway because you get a bigger bread and meet for the price.

Comparing it to places like matcha maiko that serves good quality matcha for a fraction of that price. The sandwiches and salads were OK. I actually thoroughly enjoyed myself. The restaurant next door charges less for a seared pistachio crusted fish with veggies and a soda, for what this place charges for a measly sandwich. I wish this place nothing but the best, but I can't justify spending this much on a drink and sandwich.

The interior of this place was so unique, the staff were welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Naturally we had to sit in the upstairs dining area just for the novelty of it, and while we didn't have to wait too long for our meal, we had fun playing the trivia card game that was on each table. I ordered the Parmo Pollo Panini with Tomato Basil Soup. The chicken in the Panini was a little dry, but coupled with the Tomato Basil Soup I could hardly tell. While they were delicious together, both were just as tasty on their own. The Panini was a good hearty sandwich, and the Tomato Basil Soup was packed full with delicious spices. This has been our routine more or less every other Saturday for the past five years. So I have somewhere around 130 sandwiches under my belt, and my gifted little Bat-Potato has maybe double that (he loops his momma into the rotation on her weeks). --- Be forewarned that it's peak midlife lunch. By that I mean Tay's doesn't have niceties like an all-you-can-drink Bloody Mary bar. Frankly, I'm not even sure Tay has a liquor license. On the surface, Tay's seems to prioritize the whims of my nine-year-old. But it feels wholesome as fuck. Wholesome like...you'll get an enthusiastic "HI FRIENDS!" on the way in, guaranteed. It's not unlike arriving at a preschool; I love it. Tay's is an order-at-the-counter place. I don't need to order (they've memorized mine), but you probably will, at least the first few times you go. They seem to be pretty good at remembering after that. You would think that 130 sandwiches would have afforded me the luxury of having tasted the entire menu. Nope. I've tried the Make My Tay with whichever jalapeno-infused jelly sounds good, 130 different times now. So I just order a jelly, and they figure the rest out. And, for the record, the Make My Tay is pretty much PB&J perfection. I know cream cheese sounds a little weird, but it's gonna change your world, guaranteed. My Bat-Potato enjoys the Kids Classic with strawberry jam. Untoasted. Actually, please make sure his sandwich has not been placed within 12" of a toaster and try not to glance at the toaster while you make it. So I guess that's a solid option if you are a child or have the palate of one. Our drink of choice is a glass of milk, because again I arrived at a preschool and ordered an upscale elementary school lunch; why not further relive my childhood with some cow juice? The sandwiches are paired with ruffles, or some chips of that sort. You get a generous helping, and the sammys are also substantial. The meals are not inexpensive, but I don't think the owner is making out like a bandit either; for my son and me, the total is around $25 including drinks. The dining area is quaint with four or five small tables and one larger one. The decor is...old west ghost town, maybe? It feels vaguely Old Spaghetti Factory-esque. A wall-sized window overlooks the shopping plaza and McCullough. Wholesome like...you'll get an enthusiastic "HAVE A BLESSED DAY!" on the way out. I don't even much care for blessed days, but for y'all I shall have one. And then we leave. As I meander down the stairs, somewhere around step five, the forcefield ends, and I am no longer in my Elementary School's cafeteria. And my Bat-Potato says, "Race you!"

They are located on the second floor and a ton of parking options Negative: It's not really a negative aspect but there's limited seating because it's so popular Pro tip: It's great to grab and go because there's local parks nearby Recommendation for the owner: I was only in town for a few hours and I saw this on numerous reels. It's definitely the deli bahn mi that keeps me coming back regularly as well as the staff--they really are artists of their craft. If you know exactly what you want they'll give you that and if you're undecided or new, they have great recommendations that really do provide a well balanced bite. Every time for me, even when I'm not grabbing a deli bahn mi or ordering for others, has been a perfect sandwich. They have online ordering, phone in ordering, and you can also order there in person. The line gets long during the rush so if you're limited on time, I advise ordering ahead. Thundercloud from what I understand is originally an Austin chain. They serve soup peddler soups (also an Austin staple) and even offer cookies and smoothies which I also enjoy. About a week ago I got my girlfriend a cookie from Paris baguette and she later commented that she STILL preferred thunder clouds chocolate chip cookie over the bakeries (says a lot for a sandwich shop cookie to trump a bakery tbh). You can choose from white or wheat bread & I really enjoy how they offer two sizes of a sandwich along with plenty of options for meat and veggies. It keeps the possibilities endless. Like I mentioned earlier my go to is a large deli bahn mi on white bread with sriracha mayo add salami and salt and pepper. (I've found that the manager's special, the deli bahn mi is not available at all locations, so I'm thankful to always find it at this one). My girlfriend usually grabs the Austin club on white bread with honey mustard and sprouts and both keep us coming back ultra satisfied and ready for another round. I've also enjoyed their frito pie, Big Paul, and their meatball sub. The drink and chip selection is also fire, I especially enjoy their canned organic lemonade.
