On August 14, 2025, I suffered a serious injury at Fox Hill RV Resort due to unsafe conditions and…read morea lack of communication from staff. While the grounds of the resort are nice, the safety standards and staff response were unacceptable. On Thursday, August 14th, a member of my group informed staff that the inflatable waterslides appeared slightly deflated. The staff's only response was that someone would be coming on Friday to look at them. No warnings were given to campers about avoiding the inflatables, and no signs were posted to restrict their use. Later that day, I went down the inflatable slide. Because it was partially deflated, I slid down at an awkward angle into very shallow water. The pond also had a raised, turf-like surface at the bottom that created a bump. When I hit the bottom, my foot twisted, and I broke my ankle. The staff response to my injury was extremely concerning. The manager stayed in the office and did not come to help. Instead, a child around 12 or 13 years old was sent to assist, but they were not able to provide any help. Another camper (not part of my group) and my boyfriend ended up helping me out of the water and onto a bench so I could elevate my foot. When my boyfriend's mother asked staff for crutches or basic first aid supplies, they had nothing available. The only suggestion was to use a shuffleboard stick as a crutch, which was flimsy and unusable. No staff member brought ice, took down any details of the incident, or checked in on me. It was another camper (not staff) who eventually brought me ice for my ankle. With no assistance from the resort, my boyfriend had to drive me to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with a broken ankle. Because it was late and raining, we returned to the campground that night, but had to cut our trip short and go home the next day. At no point did staff follow up, take notes, or even come to the cabin to see if I was okay. To this day, I have not heard anything from Fox Hill--no apology, no acknowledgement, and no offer of assistance regarding the situation that happened. This entire experience showed a clear lack of safety protocols, communication, and basic first aid support at Fox Hill RV Resort. The inflatables were left in unsafe condition despite prior notice, there were no warnings to guests, and the staff failed to respond properly after my injury.

But after experiencing "the owner's mom" yelling at my teen playing at the playground, I'll have to pass and suggest a new family reunion location. For what it's worth: I was standing chatting with family as my son was on the seesaw. If she disliked him playing on it, there's an appropriate way to speak to: a. Children (who are worthy of respect) b. Customers. Screaming at them and aggressively speaking to the parents is a bad way to run a business. I was more than willing to overlook the increased prices year over year, the less than great bathrooms, + smoking at the new arcade (which is open randomly at best)...but absolutely unwilling to overlook the way people are treated. Hopefully a discussion is had moving forward so other teens feel welcome to be outside + play amongst their far younger cousins.

Our granddaughters are having a nice time and have met new friends. This is good family camping. No frills, but fun and safe. Close to the Dells but not too close. We will definitely make the longer drive to come back here over closer places nearer our home. I booked because of the price, the pool, and the fair cancellation policy. I am so glad we came!

It is under new ownership, since 2014 and the new owners are remodeling and revamping the place.Some of the staff is new to camping but they are people people, so it all works out in the end. It has some of the lowest rates in the area even though the campground is 2.5 miles from Downtown Dells. The facilities are kept clean and the staff is quick to respond when an incident occurs. I highly recommend this place.

We were up the hill in a woodsy site and it was roomy, clean, and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were much better than Devil's Lake. The owners are nice and very friendly. The camp store is cute and has lots of merch. We bought merch because there were lots of options and we want to support small businesses owners.

Pretty much had the pool to ourselves on Thursday, but it was pretty busy around noon on Saturday, which is to be expected. We spent about 12 hours total in the pool area throughout our day. They also have a basketball court and a volleyball court, mini golf (for an additional charge) and a small arcade area. They also have two bars and food available to purchase. You can eat there, get it to go, or have it delivered to your campsite. Drinks were priced cheaper than they are at our local bar back home. They also had different activities going on throughout the weekend. If you download their app, they will send you a notification 15 minutes before any events. Campsites are pretty close together, but we enjoy meeting new people, so that wasn't an issue for us. Also, some people want a quiet campground, and I wouldn't say this is necessarily one. There were a lot of different groups of people hanging out pretty late and having a good time. Again, not an issue for us, but something that should be noted for those that want quiet campsite. We did not use the showers or bathroom facilities often, but they were pretty clean anytime I went in there. Campground is also animal friendly. We had our dog and he enjoyed the dog run area they have. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.

When we arrived, we found that our sites had been undergoing construction. There was a small patch of grass left, but the rest was gravel, not to mention the large deep ditch, surrounded by yellow caution tape. There was a 6 to 8 inch drop off from the grass to the gravel which was irregular and quite dangerous, especially in the middle of the night. Many of us complained but a discount was refused, site changes were refused, no compensation was offered for what we paid for most definitely being not as described in the advertising on their website. Since we had no other alternatives and other plans for the weekend that could not be changed, we decided to stay. None of us will ever return to this campgrounds, and will make as many people that we can aware of the uncomfortable and dangerous situation that was forced on us with no consideration at all

Love camping here! I've been here going on 4 years!…read more Peaceful and lots of fun. They are a sister company to point bluff. So tubing, kyacking, and just lounging on the river. The owners are wonderful people, Fred and Julie . Our camp manager Heather is also. The camping is right on the river , unless you have a permanent site. They will be opening more sites soon. Their friendly bar which is on site is the perfect amount of good times while also being low key enough to not keep up little ones. You can launch a boat on the river right at the campsite or you can shore cast and expect to see crappie, bass, walleye, perch, cat fish and carp. I heard they catch northerns too if that's your thing. I can't say enough about Heather who is running the place. She's an excellent communicator who really helped make my experience there wonderful.

Had it for 3 years, but noticed a change when Jill and Jimmy took over. The rates for the seasonal went up considerably, enough that we sold our unit. We still enjoy coming up her, but now we camp with our pull behind and rent a site. We do like all the amenities that the campground offers. We have not had the issues with the noisy campers some of the posters have had. we did years ago, when we camped in the lower area near the river, but now we camp in the meadows with full hook-up. We have met some wonderful people up here, and we will continue to camp here at least once or twice a year.

The campground is well run, clean, and the staff is super friendly. The cabin itself was small compared to some of the other cabins in the Dells, but for the price and experience is unbeatable. We got the full rustic experience of living in a log house in the woods while having amenities like a stove, refrigerator, AC, etc. They had a nice pond where one could paddle boat or canoe and one night they even had a Christmas in the Summer theme where they paraded around campground with Christmas lights in golf carts, reindeers ! All in all, I had an amazing weekend out there and would do it again !

No cable for us old timers. Difficulty getting through the security key tab on the door . The neighbors were doing outdoor construction on their home , saws and hammers. felt like a bit of a Ripoff for 500 / night mid week during a very quiet mid September time. Across a busy road and right by an abandoned unsightly business. Granted it's also across from a very nice Brewpub , which is probably a major selling point. Not a rural feeling but a neighborhood type ambiance. My guess is it would be great for a mid size group during holidays or for a ski trip. The owners did keep asking for final 50% payment many days before we arrived so we left with a not great feeling. There were only two in our party , on our way between Tomahawk and ORD.
