If you are coming here for winter, don't expect anything to be open. It's off the beaten path, a lot of things to do (in season) great community center. A lot of people stay here seasonally. The owners are super helpful and kind. You can get packages here. Prices are great... the spots are just grass/light gravel. Gets kind of muddy.

    The edge of a drop-off.

Most campsites are very rutted and pitted. EVERYTHING is uneven including the mini golf. Nice office and store. Pool is very nice. Don't think we will go back; too hard to walk on through the park.

Cancellation policy only, nothing on moving your reservation to a new date.

We were really looking forward to visiting this camping resort but because of weather, we decided to move our reservation. However upon calling to move our reservation, we find out that they only do cancellations and we would have to make a new reservation meanwhile losing ALL of our money that we paid for the original reservation and would have to pay again (the full amount). Now, there policy clearly states that you need at least 7 days to cancel a reservation and they would charge a fee. We were told differently over the phone but whatever, it's on their website so I understand. What I have an issue with, is that NO WHERE on their website does it state that moving a reservation is treated like a cancellation. NO WHERE on the website does it mention moving reservation period. The girl on the phone even told my husband the resort changed the policy because the management makes more money by charging people the full amount for rescheduling!! While I get that this is a business and they need to make money... AT LEAST HAVE THE COURTESY TO HAVE THAT POLICY YOUR WEBSITE! This is people's money and they should know exactly what they are getting into when paying for a service. I felt that the manager I spoke to about this issued was a bit unprofessional and even a bit smug. Definitely did not help move our reservation and basically said oh well that's our policy. Again, I am not upset that rescheduling is treated like a cancellation (if that indeed is their policy) but have that on your website clearly stating it so that there is no confusion. I gave Sky High Camping Resort two star because, 1. Their costumer service in this situation was terrible and 2. Because I haven't actually stayed in the resort and I find it unfair to give them one star without actually experiencing the place. BTW, I uploaded a photo of their reservation policy.

We rented two of the cabins and the amount of space inside was perfect for this family of 4! Each kid got their own loft, we had a bed with wonderful space. The number of things to do while there was perfect for the ADHD kids and the ability to sit and watch them do ALL THE THINGS was perfect for this tired momma! We played mini-golf at 6:45 am, horseshoes at 6:54 am, and playground at 7 am to just start all over again (multiple times)! Definitely plan your drinking schedule with the fact that the bathroom is not in the cabin but still close! We had s'mores on the fire pit and two nights of BBQ! We even swam in the lake and the kids LOVED the inflatables (even the 40-year-old fat dudes got out there). The owners were incredible and friendly. Really can see that they care and have built a wonderful community. We will be back!

We saw SO much wildlife in the 30 hours we stayed there. Fish of all types, deer, wild turkey, toads, owls, eagles, and even a porcupine! The stars were beautfiul and the park in well maintained. Porta potties we're throughout the park and close to our sight, they were clean too. There's a little shop nearby with everything you would need from fresh bait/fishing supplies to grocery items like raw meat and butter. They also had snacks, sodas, beers and we saw a few to go orders of pizza leave too. Such a beautiful lake and amazing representation of Wisconsin wildlife. There's boat launches and kayaks launches in the park. It is also bear country so inform yourself on rules before staying!

We drove in to the campsite, park, then have a 400 yard walk to each campsite. There is the option to boat into some of these shore line campsites as well. The only down side to camping here is the mosquitos are pretty crazy during the high mosquito season in the summer. They weren't bad in late August, but when we recently camped there in July, everyone had 20 mosquito bites. If you go during the mosquito season I highly recommend a screened in room to hang out and cook. We couldn't hang outside of the screen room longer than a few minutes before being attacked by a lot of mosquitos, no amount of bug spray helped that situation. Our group of friends that we camped at here plan to keep coming. It's about a 4 hour drive from Chicago, just about half an hour north of Wisconsin Dells

Definitely best way to beat the crowds and relax at a quieter campground before the hype of the school year starts up. While the sites look and feel the same as the ones at Devil's Lake, there are far fewer sites and it is much more peaceful. The sites themselves are really well kept. Our little site was still able to fit three cars in the driveway, two full tents and a sunshade. The campground features a massive field, covered family Pavillion and little playground. Really nice way to burn off some energy away from the sites if you're not hiking or sit and have lunch at one if the many picnic tables. Two grills available as well. You can't get better camping showers than I've experienced outside of Mirror Lake! They're all private entrances and have a seperate area behind a partition to put your bag/towel/clothes with a bench. Great hot water and pressure. Seperate bathroom area that is extremely well maintained too. Huge plus! While there aren't a lot of trails, the hiking isn't at all strenuous and has beautiful views of the rock formations along the way. Sturdy walking shoes still required. Personally I wouldn't swim in the water as its a little murkier, although it is so lovely to venture around. You're able to rent kayaks for the best experiences it seems so we'll be doing that next year! I highly recommend taking a break from life at Mirror Lake for camping and relaxed hiking! Can't wait to go back.

The owners have put so many very thoughtful touches and it is crystal clear that they are looking to help your family build a lifetime of wonderful memories here. So many amenities I hardly know where to begin... The road into their expansive property is perfect and looks brand new. You pass by the 3 beach volleyball courts, the horseshoe pits, you pass by the stocked fishing pond, the heated pool, pavilion, fully stocked store and main office complete with snack bar including pizza, ice and firewood. Don't forget to check out the massive inground trampoline or all of the various inflatable water toys/attraction (slides, bounce house, merry go round, etc). Canoe, paddleboards, and kayaks available. They even have golf carts available for rental. Clean bathrooms and showers (coin operated showers), multiple dump stations, 300 rv sites with 30amp hook up's with water. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring and plenty of room to offer pull through service. A few cabins are available for rent but I imagine those book out quite some time in advance. Laundry facilities and WiFi. Now, let's be realistic people. This campground is hundreds of acres out in the middle of nowhere. You're not going to be streaming ANYTHING. But then again, you're not out at a family campground to be surfing. There's no cell reception on any carrier so everyone is jamming their measly 3bps WiFi system. You're just going to be able to squeak out the occasional text or email. Just enough to check in on those you love and vice versa. If you need something more than get yourself a WeBoost or similar product and stop complaining. This place is immaculately maintained and it is clear to see why so many people come back year after year. If we lived in Wisconsin our family would book this place long-term for the whole season. It's that good. A special thanks to Taylor who made the after hours check in and set up a breeze and who's great attitude was such a pleasure to see at various times during our stay.
