We hired them through a family friend in September to do our driveway, patio and sidewalk. It took about four days to get everything done which was quite impressive considering the amount of work. The crew showed up at 7am every morning and really busted their behinds every day. They didn't mind my questions or photos and as one worker said this "ain't their first rodeo" Hahahah. They know their jobs well. The concrete work is awesome. They also applied a sealant over the concrete. Jim is so friendly and personable, always returned our calls promptly and made sure we were happy with their work. They went the extra mile and filled in the sides of the driveway and patio with dirt. Amazing quality work and a good value for your money.

He admitted to using old used wood that he had sitting around his shop. The balcony was already cracking and starting to fall within couple months. I have had his porch torn down deemed unsafe and not up to code from multiple other companies. I could go on and on. He takes your money to finish projects before yours then claims we are causing him to bankrupt (but still in business). We had to terminate our relationship so that we could occupy the house before winter a year after signing the contract. Don't waste your time find a reputable builder instead.

We have multiple angles in the parlor, that was getting the crown moulding, and it was the biggest I have ever experienced in the 10 plus years I have been rehabbing homes. I expected Austin and Dave to walk off the job after 2 days of chaos, but I am pleased to say that they stuck with it and kept a positive attitude the whole time (unlike the hubby lol). HUGE tree? On a hill? Little access?N O P R O B L E M for these guys!…read more Seriously... WW! John & his amazingly talented team of climbers, cutters, trimmers and equipment operators are absolutely 2nd to NONE! I had a massive, 70' Oak tree in a landscaping bed, surrounded by a retaining wall & concrete patios, on a hill, lakeside in Somonauk, IL in the Lake Holiday subdivision. I called three different tree services who told me it was too complicated and dangerous and couldn't (and / or wouldn't) do it. Then I found John on Angie's List. Only TWO companies came up as options and after speaking with John, my search was over. He assured me that no job is too small or too big for them to do. The timing was right and they had my tree down safely, literally two days later. It took five guys and nearly two days to get this tree down. At first the $12K price tag seemed ridiculous until I saw what they all did and what was involved. This was a dangerous and very complicated job and absolutely fascinating to watch. The guys were in constant communication with each other and completed the job quickly and safely. Each and every branch was 'tethered', "caught" once cut, and then slowly lowered to the ground, picked up and taken away so as to disturb as little of my landscaping as possible. WOW! John (the owner) was very personable, accommodating & clear when explaining everything. He even had the guys cut up the nicer pieces of wood for my firepit and offered to load it into our neighbor's trailer for him to take away for himself. When they were finished, they cleaned everything up including an area of our neighbor's yard that had blown debris in it. How's THAT for customer service "above and beyond the call"...! WOW! The company name implies it's just a gutter business but check out my photos and you'll see the real talent lies in their tree service.
