Luciana, our triage nurse was amazing. She had a wonderful manner with my mother that was respectful of mom's white hair but also kind and just a hint of chiding because Mom made some not great decisions that week. After a short wait, we then saw a nurse practitioner Kim who was also very kind and listened to my Mom. Mom was evaluated and got her xrays which needed to be read by someone off site so it took a bit. Mom got some prescriptions and we were on our way. We were there on a Friday afternoon and all told I think we were there for around 2 hours. Mom was pleased to not sit in an actual ER for hours on end. And I was glad we got a diagnosis. The space was clean and well laid out. Checkin was easy since Mom is Ochsner everything so they just had to call up her records. Parking was good. And as we were using a wheelchair that day since Mom was feeling so poorly, I know accessibility was good.

Recently, after starting a new medication, I became extremely ill while my prescribing physician was out of town, which led me to seek care at urgent care. As someone with complex and rare conditions, I often approach new providers with hesitation. Too often, my symptoms have been dismissed or misunderstood, which makes seeking care stressful and, at times, discouraging. Dr. Mary completely changed that experience. He took the time to truly listen, reviewed my medical history and prior notes thoroughly, and respected my insight into my own condition. He was knowledgeable about my diagnoses, ordered the labs I requested to rule out other possible causes, and provided additional resources for follow-up care. Most importantly, he treated me with empathy and clinical judgment, including administering a steroid injection to help manage what appears to be another flare. What stood out even more was his level of commitment - he asked me to update him the following day, despite not being on shift. That level of dedication is rare. It was also clear that my experience was not unique. Both when I arrived and when I left, I overheard other patients at the front desk expressing how much Dr. Mary had helped them. This is the standard of care every patient deserves. I am incredibly grateful and relieved to know there is a physician like Dr. Mary I can trust to listen, take my concerns seriously, and provide thoughtful, patient-centered care. I had an appointment, and I waited another 30 minutes, but I don't mind. I think people who don't work in healthcare may have a misperception that people aren't working fast enough, but what I think the public should know is that when you are sick - truly sick - you need the kind of research and care I received in order to provide the appropriate treatment. Urgent Care is not your primary care provider, so they need more time to review notes and records. Be patient. I have seen just about every specialist possible, and I received better care at this urgent care than 80% of other doctors I've seen, many of which kept me waiting far beyond 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment. This kind of care was exceptional, and I would wait again any day to talk to a doctor that listens and cares. Thank you, Dr. Mary, and the staff who eased my fears and provided incredible care yesterday. You're the best!

Her staff is always helpful and they promptly return calls when an immediate response is not possible. The facilities at Jencare are clean and accommodating and they have a nice beverage station in the lobby. Jencare is great, but our reason for coming here is Dr Ernie. She is kind, compassionate, and takes as much time as we need to discuss treatments, both in her office or by phone. My mother was diagnosed with advanced bladder cancer in October, and Dr Ernie has been wonderfully supportive. Whether it be passing me a tissue discreetly, while giving a less than hopeful diagnosis, or making herself available to us at any hour via a call or text to her cellphone, she is a saint. I wish she could be my doctor too! I will always remember her remarkable level of care for the senior community.

The entrance is currently on the side street to the left of Dorignac's, which I guess would be upriver.

The staff did not follow up with calls to the doctor who uses this facility as they had promised. I wasted a week waiting for a response. This facility claims their insurance requires post-operative patients to be picked up by someone willing to sign an indemnification agreement that will hold the facility harmless if anything happens to the patient in transit home. Not even the local hospitals require that. No Uber, Lyft or taxi will do that. A patient-unfriendly staff that does not do its homework. Schedule yourself elsewhere, please!
