We had such a beautiful ride at Del's Ranch. We went the first weekend in June and the hills were lush and green. The scenery was peaceful and breathtaking with the snowcapped mountains in the distance. The hour long ride was perfect for our young girls who haven't ridden much. The tour was thru the woods and up up up... the views were breathtaking. We went during a snowy day which made it magical, but I have heard the summer foliage is a great time to go as well. Del's Ranch was an awesome find. My husband and our two friends from out of town were looking for an activity we could all enjoy when our legs got tired from skiing. This was the perfect way to be immersed in nature & relax with great company! Our guides Oakley & Ray were authentic and genuine people. They accommodated us with warm gear and matched up the horses according to our prior experiences. The trails we took were breathtakingly beautiful and offered a mix of terrain (Aspens, cliff-side ridges, countryside, etc.) It was cool to see the Bald eagle population thriving in this area as we saw maybe 4 in total. We also saw an owl fly overhead and tracks of some bigger game in the area. The snow was packed high on our tour, but made for a scenic and glittery ambiance. In total, the excursion was about 2 hours long with Ray and Oakley sharing stories that had us all wishing we were cowboys and cowgirls. This really was a 10/10 experience. I can't say enough how quickly we'd all go back! Thank you guys at Del's Ranch again for making us all feel so welcome. These memories will stay with us forever! read more

My family has been going out to Del's for about 20 years. We have been here in the summer and the winter, with our young children, older children and my husband and myself. Every experience has been amazing. Perk and Ray ( and Becky) run a very professional business and take great care of their customers at whatever level they are at in the moment. It is quite obvious they take great care of their horses also. Beside the breathtaking views you will be afforded on your ride, Perk and Ray are the ultimate historians of the area and so knowledgeable in land and animal management. The two cowboys that served my family were great. The patriarch of the ranch was genuine and honest. Our ride was cut short due to weather and within a few hours I had a modified refund for the time we did not get on horseback. Overall the staff was wonderful, the horses were great, even for my 73 y/o father that had never been on a horse. The mountains were beautiful. We stayed in downtown Steamboat and it took right at an hour of very safe driving to get to the ranch. It was worth the drive. read more
