It's quite a feat getting to the venue, but luckily we had shuttles that took us down the winding roads to the ranch.The ranch is massive and spans 3,000 acres with breathtaking views in every direction. After the ceremony, we headed down to a large heated tent where the party continued. One part that was extra special was that the couple getting married got to brand their initials on one of the fences at the ranch. Everyone we encountered from the ranch staff was wonderful. I had a blast white water rafting down the Colorado River with Mad Adventures. When you arrive to…read moretheir store location it's about 30 minutes of admin stuff before you load the buses to head for the launch point. You fill out the wavier paperwork, get a speech from one of the workers, and go through the line to your life jacket and paddle. They also have shoes for rent if you need them. The bus ride to the launch point is about 30 minutes. The staff do their best to keep everyone entertained while your on the bus; telling jokes, telling you facts about landmarks, and the local area. When you get to the launch point it's about another 15 minutes before you get on your raft. They go through another 5-7 minute speech about the water, how to maneuver, and all the safety stuff (just in case crap goes wrong). Then they split you up into groups and you load the raft. We truly had a blast on the raft and I never felt like I was at risk of injury, or unsafe through the entire ride. From start to finish it was about a 2 hour trip; but it went by really fast. I could have rode the river for at least another 1-2 hours. It was super chill and some of the rough waters (class II and III) didn't last long but made the ride very exciting. We did stop for about 30 minutes at a point where you can jump off a cliff. There is a 25 foot cliff as well as a small jump spot for kids (my 4 year old jumped from the small spot). I did go up to the 25 foot jump (along with about 30 other people). Jumping was not a problem at all because you walk up to the edge and simply walk off for the jump. They don't give you anytime to look around, think, or get scared. 30 people jumped off in less than 7-8 minutes. It felt great!! The ride back to the main store was much shorter; about 15 minutes. Overall we had a great time and it was well worth it.

Hi all! The…read moreAdventure Company was very professional from start to finish, and they were fun too. My family and I went rafting, and at that time, the Arkansas River was really high. There were some rapids that were very exciting, and the water was really cold, but it was funny for everyone else when I was getting soaked in the front. The water is COLD, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The rapids relaxed down in about 10 minutes, and it was a pretty smooth ride for the rest of journey. The total trip was about an hour and a half, which is a good time for younger kids. David was a great guide, and he was funny and entertaining, yet knowledgeable and passionate about many things adventure. He trained everyone in the raft the do-s and don't-s of rafting, and made sure everyone was prepared in case of emergency. He showed the techniques of how to maneuver the raft, and how to 'rescue' your buddy if they fell in. We had ages 7-57 in our group, and it was fun for everyone. If you are a beginner or have younger, more senior people in your group, I would suggest a level 1-2 experience. If you have a group of more confident, or medium-good physically fit people who like a bit more adventurous time, I would suggest a higher level of rapids. The rest of the staff in the office were very friendly, and the office and amenities were clean and organized. They had changing rooms, and clean guest bathrooms complete with showers if you so desire. They have free lockboxes for you to leave your keys or other valuables if you need. They offered picture packages, but allowed you to take whatever devices you wanted on the raft. They advise against it, and take no responsibility for your lost items, however, they did not prevent us from bringing them (we did not bring our devices). It was a little bit of a hike from Dillon, Frisco area. About 2 hours drive, but the scenery is amazing, and with good company, it makes an easy drive. You pass through some interesting towns on the way if you want to stop and get lunch or dinner! Overall, this was an awesome trip!

We were excited for our rafting trip with The Adventure Company, but unfortunately the way they…read morehandled our concerns afterward left us far more disappointed than the trip itself. Our original Numbers trip was canceled due to low water, which we completely understood. We were offered Browns Canyon instead, and we accepted. The problem wasn't the change in route or the water conditions--it was that we weren't told until we were literally boarding the bus that our group of six would be split into separate rafts. Had we known this in advance, we would have taken the full refund that was offered instead. We understand that safety comes first and that low water conditions require adjustments. At no point did we ask them to compromise safety or keep us together if it wasn't possible. Our frustration was with the complete lack of communication. According to our guide, the low water conditions had existed for days, yet we weren't informed until there was no realistic opportunity to change our plans after driving out. To make matters worse, my partner and I were paired with two guests who chose not to participate or engage at all, while the rest of our party had a completely different experience. Corey, our guide, was excellent and did everything he could, but the experience we paid for was fundamentally different from what we expected because of a last-minute decision that could have been communicated earlier. What was most disappointing was the company's response. Rather than acknowledging that the timing of the communication was the issue, they repeatedly insisted we had "inaccurate expectations" and argued against points we never made. We never claimed groups should never be split. We never blamed them for the drought. We never blamed them for the other guests. Our only complaint was that we were denied the opportunity to make an informed decision because the information wasn't shared until we were already boarding the bus. Instead of recognizing that distinction, they repeatedly reframed our complaint as if we simply didn't understand how rafting works or had unrealistic expectations. It felt dismissive and defensive rather than customer-focused. If you're booking with this company, understand that significant changes to your trip--including being separated from your group--may not be communicated until the last possible moment. If that's something that matters to you, be sure to ask specific questions beforehand because you may not have the opportunity to change your plans once you arrive. The rafting itself was fine, and Corey deserves credit for doing a great job. My low rating is based almost entirely on how our concerns were handled after the trip. A little transparency and a willingness to listen would have completely changed this experience.

My husband doesn't have to eat GF, but decided to eat with me and not get his own. It only took about 15-20 mins for our order. We were so shocked at how AMAZING that pizza was. I normally am disappointed in GF pizza, always tastes like cardboard. This did not taste like cardboard and was the best GF pizza I have ever had. I will be craving this pizza for the rest of my life now. Even my husband said it delicious. I can't wait for next summer when we return to have another one. They have a strict age requirement of 14 and our 12 year old made that a challenge. Having done class 3-4 at Royal Gorge I would say this did not disappoint. It was constant and continuous adventure. I would have loved to kept going longer but like all good things they do come to an end. The 1.5 hours was mot too short either don't get me wrong. If you are scared of the cold don't cheap out--get the extra gear to make your experience better. My wife and kids did the gear. Since we were here in July in the water at noon I toughed it out. Don't vet me wrong it was cold and at times what I would have done to be warm. I feel the cold splash is a part of the experience. Sitting in the front I was also glad for a pair of sunglasses. They say this is some of the best rafting they have had in awhile. What really made this exemplary was the staff. They made you all feel like family. Zak in particular was our favorite. He gave the right balance of safety and firmness needed for a guide. He also helped my 70 year old mother in law work through her fears and continue with getting in the raft. She was reluctant as she only has one hand. Zak calmed her and gave her options. My kids also loved the bus driver Max. Not so sure they loved him ao much it was more his dog Willow. If you want a great and safe experience do it with Mad Adventures where they make you feel like family.
