I live in the DC area, had a placement advisor in the Delware office, and was matched with a child in PA. I NEVER met my placement advisor in person, after 3+ years with the agency. I cannot say this enough, this SIGNIFICANTLY impacted the outcome of my prospective placement. 2) please be aware that you may nor may not be dealing with a social worker. I had experiences where staff called themselves social workers, but they have neither the training nor the certifications to qualify that title. I am a social worker, have my license, and this is very important.
