As most other reviewers on here have already said, the prices are pretty high for a thrift store. There are some things you can get for a bargain, but you really have to get lucky. Otherwise, you're better off buying new. It's just disappointing to see this store would much rather hold onto things to try and turn over a huge profit then sell it for a reasonable price to keep inventory moving. I've seen furniture sit here for months because they're asking a lot of money. I do enjoy coming here for books, picture frames, and kitchenware. read more

Consider donating your unneeded furniture and house decorating accessories to New Life. Their pick-up is responsive, completely at your convenience, and you are working with super nice individuals. I was updating and had a large area rug in very good condition to donate. It was too big and too heavy for me to transport. I sent a text message to 215-837-6615 along with pictures. I received a response within 24 hours and the rug was picked up three days later (even before the replacement rug arrived). Mike was super responsive with his text messaging. I thought this was the world's most amazing thrift store. It so HUGE, has amazing prices, and the quality of the items is unmatched. The boutique is a bit higher end, but this is my new favorite store to go to. I can count that my items will be in perfect condition, and I got 3 things for $15, so I'm not sure why people think it's so expensive! Worst thrift store experience ever! I found a high brand purse with a tag in the inside and when i went to ring out they wouldn't sell the bag without a proper tag. Afterwards a manager came up to do a price tag, after she returned she stated the bag was priced at $640 on poshmark so they would not be able to sell me the bag, but instead would be sold at their boutique. incredibly unfair to use online listings to determine the value of items especially when it was out on the floor for anyone to buy! and unfair to take away from someone after rightfully finding an amazing item. 0/10 don't bother looking for anything nice unless you're ready to pay major corporation prices read more

If you want to donate your items to a thrift store that serves the community, this is NOT the place! The employees take your good quality donations to sell for their own profit at their own independent boutiques!!!! This is the first time I've ever written a review on Yelp before because I am just so sad. I found this really amazing jacket without a price tag, so I brought it up to the front register hoping they could price it. They told me to bring it back to the donation space for them to price it, and the people in the donation space told me to bring it to the women in the fitting rooms to price it. I think I talked to every single employee working there that night! Once I got to the fitting room, the employee took the jacket behind the partition to talk to another employee. I could hear them talking about prices on eBay and online listings of similar jackets (). Eventually, they came back out and said they couldn't value this jacket "without their boss." They told me to come back the next day and it would be priced. I was bummed, but I live locally and really loved this jacket, so I went back the next day. The same employee I talked to the night before was working the fitting rooms again. I said I was looking for a jacket I asked about yesterday, and she said she remembered me. She said that she was sorry and that "her boss had actually taken the jacket with her to sell at her boutique." I left without the jacket and I won't be coming back. Very very sad to think that members of my community are donating their loved items just for them to be taken by employees and sold for their own benefit. read more

Their prices have gotten out of control. It's really sad. I used to love it there but not only are prices too high but it's really hard to move around. I understand they have limited supply space so I can deal with hard to move but I thrift bc it's hard to afford full price and they will sell a Walmart or target brand item for a price I could get it on sale new in the real store. read more

It has a HUGE selection, but the prices aren't spectacular. Furniture is about the same price you could get at Walmart. They have an assortment of Knick knacks/books/DVDs that are really cheap. There can be a really long line sometimes as there are typically only 2 cashiers at a time. Overall definitely worth a stop but pay close attention to price tags- don't assume the price is good just because it's a thrift store. read more

While the store is neat and well organized, the prices are ridiculously high for a thrift store. Well it's big, I'll give 'em that. You could spend an hour in here browsing the racks for stuff you didn't even know you needed. The prices are good, too. I found an outrageous and embarrassing shirt I wanted to buy for the boy for only $4 but since he's not an XXL, I had to take a pass. Since I'm going through a '70s phase right now I was looking for some slinky, shiny old stuff to wear out. Unfortunately all I came across was stuff straight outta the Golden Girls wardrobe room. Big, stinky, and overpriced. This place annoys me. It's so big and has great potential, but I'm going to only come here when I have time to waste. The high prices keep items from moving so the place is stuffed with junk that will likely still be there if you come back a month later. Since the junk never sells, there's not much room for new stuff. The layout screams fire hazard. There's a few hallways that have bookshelves full of junk, so anytime you want to move around, there's a shopper in your way. If you manage to find something, expect the line to be long. Of course, the long line is another source of people in your way. Shoppers come to the register with a full cart and take about five minutes to get checked out. They don't intend to buy it all and use the register as the time to think about if they actually need something and plan to buy it. Also, people here have no problem cutting in front of you. There is a half price color, make sure to check that out. They could definitely benefit from some other price incentives. The furniture supply is greater than smaller thrift stores, but unless you're looking an entertainment center or hutch, don't expect much. read more

Prices dont make sense for thrift store. $24 bucks for a used salt lamp. Art marketing else where for $5 - $35 max was $50... $30 for various ashtrays. Retail prices for various cookware. They have interesting things but the non thrift prices takes the fun out of it for us hunters. This also seems like the type of place that sells all their really cool items (they do estate cleanouts) online at premium prices. More like antique broker selling thrift store level merchandise at antique value prices. Not a thrift store. Nothing to "discover" and enjoy at thrift price. My car was full of donations and I had unload it to an organization serving my community. Despite snow in the aftermath of a northeast storm, the receiving area was clear and staffed with someone to take in my donations. The friendly staff helped me unload everything outside, quick and easy. Beware if you have a very large vehicle because the entry and parking is somewhat tight in cornering. Do NOT go to this store if you are a person of color. You will be profiled. I went to the bathroom and was followed by an employee. When I came out the manager accused me of storing something in my purse (stealing). Not only was I accused but genuinely embarrassed by being accused in a store full of people. When I asked the manager who told her I was stealing or was there any camera she told me that she can not tell me that. I find it very disrespectful to accuse someone with no guest cause. My mother and I both genuinely did enjoy that store but will not be returning at any point in the future. Poor management and customer service. Great selection! It is hard to find a thrift store that has a great selection for everything (furniture, kitchen, glasses, clothes, lamps, electronics). I felt like this place had everything and a lot of it! They have colored tags and depending on the day- a certain color is discounted further. Large thrift store with an array of inventory. Priced a bit high for a thrift store, but the quality and variety were nice. Inventory 4/5: the store is pretty large with a lot of clothes, shoes, books, curtains, glassware, and accessories. Most things showed wear but were in good shape. Price 2/5: I was a little surprised by the high costs here. The prices were reasonable but on the high end for a thrift shop. Most shoes were around $5 which is reasonable but some pairs went up to $10 or $15. Housewares were reasonable but again on the higher end. Of all of the places I'd expect to get viscerally cursed out, a church thrift shop is not one of them. Absolutely avoid under all circumstances. Over the course of the last several years, my family and I have given this organization several thousand dollars, conservatively estimating, in antiques, gently used furniture, and nearly new toys and collectibles, to say nothing of the money we've spent purchasing from them. This morning, I drove up to donate a few pieces of high end art, one of which had a nick missing out of the frame - not a major break, but with a little glue, it could've easily been sold for a decent price. I stepped out of the car and greeted the masked kid who was accepting donations, and moments later, a man and two women walk out onto the loading dock. All three of their masks were down around their chins. The broken part of the frame must have been visible, because the man, whose name I later found out to be Pete, starts ranting and raving at me, screaming about how I'm a f&%#ing b%@#&, and how f&%$ing dare I bring trash to their store, and we don't accept junk, you a@#hole, and get the f%&# off their property with my s#%&. My jaw hit the pavement. Once I was able to catch a breath, I explained that there was a little part of the frame that was broken, but I thought that it could be salvaged. After all, I explained, the painting depicted a church, and I didn't have the heart to throw it out as there might be someone who would enjoy displaying it. At this point, the blonde woman walked over toward me, and she starts shooing me with these large gestures and telling me to take my trash elsewhere because they weren't going to accept any of it. (By the way, I should mention that there's a half-empty dumpster not two steps away from my car... tell me again how you don't take trash?) All the while, Pete is pacing back and forth, into and out of the building, and I can hear him calling me all manner of epithets as he's huffing around in a rage, shrieking about how I'm an effing b-word. He was so loud that I'm sure the neighbors could hear him all the way up the block. Meanwhile, I'm standing there in a defensive position, hands up, saying, "I'm really sorry, I am, and I meant no disrespect. There's absolutely no need to scream at me! I've donated several thousand dollars worth of items here over the years, and we've been customers for a while," to which the brunette quipped, "We don't care how much you've donated. Take your s&%# and go." The poor kid, still standing there awkwardly and holding the artwork, put it back into my car, told me to have a nice day, and I hopped in and left. I was so distraught afterward that I had to sit, parked, in Keswick Village for a solid fifteen minutes trying to get a grip before I was finally able to go home. I have never been so blatantly disrespected in my entire life - all at a thrift shop associated with a church! I know multiple people who go to the church itself, all of whom are lovely and perfectly Christlike, and what I know of their other charitable works, such as their soup kitchen and food pantry, is beyond compare in its generosity, but Pete absolutely ruined that for me today. There's, "I'm sorry, ma'am, but we can't accept that," and then there's what happened to me. Lest the same should happen to you, I'd suggest you find another thrift store to patronize, as I'm sure they'll be more grateful than these folks. read more

While a lot of people I know like this thrift shop, I'm not one of them. Although it's very roomy and there are a lot of things, most items are pretty old and outdated in comparison to other thrift stores I've frequented in MontCo and Bucks. The clothing tends to be very outdated, too. Their prices also seem rather high for a thrift store (although I understand the money is for charity, but $150 for a used sofa is a little bit outrageous). Impact in Horsham is much better, in my opinion. Parking here is also very annoying and difficult with the one way street to exit and goofy sloped lot. read more

I come here a couple times a week, because their merchandise (for the things I am looking for) does turn over pretty quickly and I can find new things that weren't there two days ago. They've got a repeat customer in me. But, the place does have it's cons too: -small parking lot for the crowd this place draws (being the biggest thrift store in that area), but though I've had to circle to lot, I've shockingly never had an issue getting a spot, even if it was the last one there. ALTHOUGH, I've never gone on a weekend, so I can only imagine how awful that lot is then. -cramped store: it's comprised of a series of rooms splitting the stuff into different areas (clothes, kitchen stuff, electronics, etc). Getting a shopping cart is a bad idea... for you AND for the people annoyed by you when you're in their way. Get a basket and bring a friend to help you carry. Just don't push a cart through those cramped hallways, please! -Some things are very over-priced. They have certain antiques that have been sitting there for months because either (A) they are priced way too high for incomplete sets, or (B) they are damaged pieces, but still trying to get high retail price for them. But, as I said, overall I love this place, you just have to be willing to deal with digging through racks and piles, dodging the crowds, and maybe circling the lot or block a few times to find a spot to park. read more

A guaranteed win every time i visit this gem of an establishment. If I am need for an outfit for an event, this store's on the list of places to go. An old friend brought me here last year. I racked up on clothing for work, jewelry and casual wear. Since then, I've been meaning to come back and i finally did recently :) Another winning experience - my mission - accessories, blouses and bottoms. I left satisfied- leaving with all of the items on my thrifting list :) Awesome selection of work and causal clothing for women. Extremely reasonable prices and varies of styles. From the basement of a church to this huge building, it seems like every corner is crammed with quality junk, interspersed with some real gems. Stopped in here yesterday looking for a couple of small furniture items for my spare bedroom. While I didn't find anything that fit the bill perfectly, I was really impressed by the selection of couches of varying sizes, really nice dish sets, artwork, and broad book selection. Looks like there are some decent brand clothes for sale, too. Lines can get pretty long, and some prices seem a little wonky. Worth a stop if you like thrift stores and/or need some cheap furniture. read more

A very large store, and packed with stuff. It's pretty well organized, and there isn't too much stuff that is absolutely un-sell-able, although this isn't your high-end consignment shop. You can circle from room to room, just taking it all in. There's furniture, a room of linens, dishes, kitchen supplies -- and lots and lots of glassware, if you need drinking glasses, wine glasses, etc. -- and plenty of clothes. I didn't examine the clothing, but I found a few things in housewares I wanted to get. I bought a rocking chair, and there was an extra discount for taking it home the same day (applies to furniture, I think). I get the idea the place is really well-run, and I thought the people there were very nice, and I can see myself doing a little spring cleaning and coming back with some donations. read more

I found this little gem while taking a walk through Glenside up Easton Road. It's a little trek up the hill (about 25 minutes) from town, but some great exercise I found a dozen pair of shoes and boots that were in very good shape and of good quality material. Also, sweater season had struck, and there were tons of very nice sweaters all priced at about $3.99. I ended up with a beautiful almost brand-new item. There are tons of other things there that I would like to shop. There's a huge clearance room, and free coffee (while it lasts). Three registers... it's a big place. I would say it's a good bet as far as thrift stores go because it well organized inside and they do have a large variety of good used merchandise. however, the parking situation is very crowded, and the building itself seems to be one large building that was added on to at different times, so the shopping "flow" throughout the store is very cramped and crowded. it isn't unusual to get stuck in between the different rooms and areas of the store when people are just nonchalantly browsing around not paying any attention to how much space they or their carts are taking up in the walking spaces. the items they have such as glassware and kitchen ware are very well priced, as are their small electric items like toasters and lamps. the furniture is a little overpriced. a lot of the upholstered chairs and sofas they sell for $50-$100 are in some cases no better than what you could get for free on craigslist; slightly frayed and stained and way out of style. my final issue is the check out arrangement. it is right in the front area of the store, and when the store is crowded, there is no way for the line to que up anywhere but in the lobby and main shopping areas. this creates a confusing and awkward situation not only for those waiting in line, but for people coming in to try and shop. the cashiers, however, are very friendly and efficient so I can't really complain more about that I just wish the layout was different. overall I know I will come back as I have gotten many bargains here and there is a lot to choose from. the store itself could use an overhaul in it's layout but I'm sure the manager already knows this. hopefully they will get that straightened out and it will be a 5 star location in my book. thanks for a great store. read more
