I was told I'd have an answer in 72 hours...6 phone calls (being on hold for over 20 minutes each time)and a promise of a supervisor calling me back 2 separate times that never called back, I STILL have no answer! We just got back from a fantastic stay in Jamaica. Delta Vacations helped us create a fantastic package including airfare, hotel, transfers, and Club MoBay to assist with customs and immigration. Our room was perfect at a 4* all-inclusive resort. Weather was hot, drinks were cold and Delta was fantastic as they are the very BEST airline - hands down! We earned SkyMiles and MQDs on a package we spent miles on (like cash), this is unheard of! I will definitely be booking our next trip via Delta Vacations! read more

Cancelled our trip 4 weeks before we were to depart because THEY forgot to charge to my credit card ONFILE. At first they said my card denied them. but verified with AMEX that that wasn't the case, they finally admitted they missed up. I was told that I couldn't get my reservation back and the trip we had planned for 8 months was unavailable now. But I could start all over with a new one somewhere else . problem is that we were meeting family there at the same hotel. They basically offered zero help whatsoever and only offered to email the hotel to try to get our room back. Estimated response would be up to 3 days if at all from delta. I was told to keep calling in case they forgot again like they forgot before. So far I'd compare their service and customer care to a McDonald's drive thru with Kamala as the store manager. I cannot believe Delta puts their name on this. I'm ashamed for them. Thanks for really sticking it to me Ed, it makes me feel so much better as a Delta Medallion Member to get such upper tier service . The said part is that I have used Allegiant Airlines for travel packages with no issues and better service. We booked a trip through delta vacations and then the trip was cancelled. Could only get credit but needs to be booked with a package and to limited places and timeframe. Finally found a location to use our credit and it charges significant fees so you likely dont get your moneys worth. we had a death in family and they wouldn't let us change so we just lost about $1000. chat assistance is good but tell you to call in for most of your questions. Wait times are forever. Significant time and money lost. Dont use Delta Vacations. Much better to book on your own so you have flexibility without losing everything. read more

Avoid Delta Vacations! This review continues the trend of poor reviews of Delta Vacations. I've been a Skymiles member for over 25 years. I thought, "I can trust Delta for my family of 10 vacation." Wrong! Delta Vacations is a separate company without full access to Delta flight systems, etc. and definitely without a customer service orientation. Their customer service is horrendous, and your SkyMiles status DOES NOT MATTER. What a miserable experience from start to finish! First, the agent booked my part of 10 at the wrong vacation resort in Cancun. When I received the itinerary and noticed it I called immediately. Not sure if it was a bait-n-switch, but I do know they didn't care and refused to make the change in itinerary since the special pricing had expired. I booked the vacation in Feb, 2023 for June, 2023 travel, and between that time, my seat assignments and flight details changed 7 times! No one could tell me why, or worse yet, Delta Vacations could not fix it without extensive time on the phone each time - an hour or more! Our hotel booking was a mess when we arrived. The rooms were not as advertised, and my "upgraded oceanview room" provided a great view of the parking lot. They refused to identify accommodations for my disabled father and said I would have to contact the hotel on my own. Airport transfer from the hotel to the airport arrived 5 hours before our flight! I was told I had no choice with pick-up time. I decided to treat my party to a flight upgrade to our vacation spot, and Delta Vacations wanted to charge me more than what I would pay on the Delta website! I sent the below email and never even got the courtesy of a response. I also was not about to go on my trip even though I did nothing wrong. I'm extremely distressed regarding my birthday trip to Punta Cuna on Monday, July 31, 2023. It was canceled Friday, July 28, 2023, by accounting for suspicious activity or fraud (reservation number 17393114). I spoke to a representative from Delta Vacations on Saturday, July 29, 2023 about 9:30 am EST, and was informed I would have to speak to accounting on Monday, July 31, 2023 regarding a refund for the trip. The representative told me I could book the trip again using a card that belonged to one of the passengers traveling (a third party booked the first reservation and that's why it was marked as fraud). She also informed me it was $132 higher than my previous trip. I asked if they could match the price from the original reservation and she spoke with a supervisor that said they could not do that. I told her I would call back to book the reservation because I was waiting on the third party to send the money back to me from the original transaction. I called back about 4 pm EST and spoke to another representative who booked my reservation (reservation number 17395953). I took a nap after my long day at Six Flags White Water and woke up to four missed calls from Delta Vacations (all calls were within a 10 minute span). I also had multiple emails. One email informed me to call back before Sunday, July 30, 2023, noon CST or my reservation would be canceled and another just one hour later stating my reservation was canceled. When I woke up, I called the number back only to be told my transaction was suspicious and that's why it was canceled. I used my Skymiles number to book the reservation, I used my personal bank debit card to pay for the reservation, I called from the number on file with my Skymiles account, I gave all my personal information in order to book the second reservation so what appears fraudulent? When I called the evening of July 29, 2023, the first representative placed me on a long hold that eventually went to a recorded survey then hung up. The second representative placed me on hold when they were supposed to reach out to a supervisor and hung up on me. The third representative got a supervisor on the line that informed me that another supervisor that was higher in rank than her marked my earlier transaction as fraudulent and there was nothing she could do about it. She told me I have to speak with accounting Monday, July 31, 2023 for a refund. She also told me that all the representatives at Delta Vacations are aware that they can't book a new reservation for anyone after a booking has been marked fraudulent before accounting clears the issue up. This bothers me the most because it was the representative from the morning call that suggested I rebook. She even spoke with a manager about my new booking but no one seemed to know the policy until after my money was taken. Now I've paid for this trip twice (once on July 22nd and again on July 29th) and I still can't go on my trip. I have to spend the entire weekend without my funds so I can't even book anything with another company to make up for this error. There was nothing fraudulent in the first transaction nor in the second transaction. This will be proven by accounting on Monday, July 31st but that'll be too late for me to travel to my destination. I want to speak with someone high enough in rank to make this situation right. There's no reason to take my money then cancel my trip with no real explanation. If the policy states that you can't rebook without consent from accounting then all representatives should know that before booking. I'm being punished for not knowing the policies and procedures of your company but the representatives don't seem to know the policies and procedures either. This was not one person making a mistake. This was multiple interactions with different representatives that should have known not to rebook my vacation until I spoke to accounting. This entire interaction has been extremely disappointing and frustrating and expensive. I want all funds returned immediately and I want my vacation rebook for Tuesday through Sunday at no cost to us. read more

the worst. we had 4 ($1500) vouchers from the Covid era. they assured us that the resort chosen was for adults and all inclusive , but there is nothing inclusive about the resort. everything is an additional $70-100 a meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) drinks are $30. they have construction going on outside of our room. Atlantis Bahamas is just an overpriced waterpark. if you do anymore than three (3) days here you are wasting your money. we have to be here for (7). I've been solicited (3) times in the bathroom for illicit drugs and have had multiple prostitutes come up to me as well. i guess that is what they meant by adult resort. what a waste of time and money read more

I tried to call Delta vacations because the booking was screwed up and they kept sending me to expedia and I called Expedia and they kept sending me back to Delta vacations. I have been trying to clear up my delta vacation arrangements multiple times. Booked in December trip is in April. I needed to remove a person from the vacation. Therefore my pricing would change. I was told by someone on their phone line that my money would not be withdrawn until the second person on my itinerary was removed and the price adjustment was made. Fast forward, over $3700 was taken from my account. I have tried multiple times to check-in and see how the process is going. This is also after I explicitly stated that I needed this change to happen. The customer service representative at the time said a refund would be issued to my account once the numbers resolved. Over a week goes by and they finally have the changes made, but are telling me that I cannot receive a refund. While I was on the phone weeks ago, no one explained that to me as a potential hardship I'd run into down the line. I was just told I would get a refund for the difference in price. This solution is not okay with me considering I've been inquiring about this before the 30 day mark before my trip. To give a refund in a gift card in someone else's name who's not going on the trip and did not pay or have a card on file that paid any portion for this trip is absurd. I lose the $200 booking fee bc it's in the other persons name- even though I paid for it, there's one card on file that again you can trace back to my account in MY name. Delta this is my first and dead LAST experience booking with you. This has been nothing short of a headache and I can't believe how long it's taken to get this even close to resolved. read more

Booked Delta Vacations and have done so for years. Had to cancel my Easter flight due to back injury from storms in Midwest and was charged the whole hotel staty at Hilton, Mission Valley, San Diego of approximately $525.00. I was told that any hotel booked with Delta Vacations charges the whole hotel stay and deems it non-refundable if not cancelled 3 days in advance. Remember, this is any hotel with Delta Vacations even though when you book a hotel yourself, they will refund the entire amount if charged upfront at all, as long as you cancel 24 hours ahead. We had a great experience with Delta Vacations! I did read a lot of mixed reviews before we booked. Honestly, most of the bad reviews were related to travel issues you could have anywhere. Any travel comes with risk, and any travel changes definitely bring risk! We booked a 9 day trip to Italy from Atlanta, GA. Everything went great with our flights and hotel!! My mom booked us a girl's trip to Orlando. Was supposed to be a graduation trip, I just finished school. it was the Microsoft crash friday. They got hacked and they are trying to recover. 1st we had a simple delay, then we had no flight attendants. Once we were on the plane we were waiting on "paperwork" to take off. Then they were waiting for the wind to change. Then they needed 30 people off because we were too overweight for the plane. Then they turned off the a/c and we were trapped in the plane for 3 hours, sweating. The plane got too hot so they kicked us all off back into the lobby. Then our pilot reached the end of his shift and clocked out. Hahahaha we waited about 4 more hours with no update until we decided to go home. we went to the help desk to get our bags unloaded off the plane, they said it could take 2 1/2 hours to get then back. After we waited that, they then told us it was an 8 hour wait to get our bags back. We said screw it and had my husband come pick us up ad take us home. Left our bags at the airport. They refuse to refund a $5000 trip because it was booked thru delta vacations. They gave us a stinking voucher. That's it.​ read more

I booked with delta vacations and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I'll never give delta another dime of my hard earned money. My flight consisted of a rude, disrespectful, condescending, intimidating man named Brian who was so irritated by the shirt I had on that he had to point it out, forced me to remove it, and berated me in from of multiple passengers on the plane. All of this midflight of course and complete with hand gestures, smart comments, and ugly behavior. Reaching out to delta proved fruitless as they informed me while they apologize for my experience they stand behind their employee's behavior and even cited a hyperlink that went to a page no longer working. Then the hotel room I booked was suppose to be beachside but imagine my surprise when i get there and find it's poolside and there is nothing the hotel can do because delta false advertised. I always fly delta but not after this trip's experience. If you book with them, just know we no longer live in American and your freedoms DO NOT apply while on delta. Unfortunately when I booked the trip I was not informed that I would not receive a refund I was told I could cancel in a certain amount of time. When I cancelled I was told I would receive a certificate/voucher for a certain dollar amount and I could use. Now that I am trying to use I am being told oh, you can only use with Delta Vacations and not on a flight only with Delta. I use them all the time and each time there is an issue but I like to give the benefit of the doubt. If you are going on a vacation, DO NOT USE DELTA VACATION. Do not book with Delta Vacations! We booked a vacation to Puerto Vallarta Mexico leaving Christmas Eve from Atl. When we arrived at the airport I was having trouble with our reservations at the kiosk so I called Delta Vacations while waiting in the line to the counter 35 minutes later they answer, the rep says she can see our reservations but she needed to transfer the call. Meanwhile, at the counter the Delta agent can see our names but not our flight info. So he then calls DV and he's on hold. We are all on hold with DV. So meanwhile, we asked the agent to start looking for places for us to go because this doesn't look promising. My call dropped, same process all over again. Finally on with a DV rep, I explained we received all the confirmation emails of our trip. The supervisor gets on to tell us there a problem and she puts me back on hold and she explains someone cancelled our flights by mistake and they could get us on a flight next day..Christmas Day instead. Well no, we had plans and didn't want to travel on the day of the holiday. She mentioned an employee somehow cancelled our flights on the reservations. She explained they could only accommodate us in a 3* hotel and flight next day, which we was opposite of what we originally booked. We booked a 5* all inclusive. We declined and asked for a refund. Which will take a few business days to get back. So after over an hour of going back and forth we decided to book and entirely new trip to Montego Bay Jamaica on our own at the counter with the Delta agent. Because time was running out to catch an international flight by 1pm. It was inconvenient, costs more money and time. The delta agent was very patient and truly help save our Christmas vacay to travel somewhere else warm. He advised booking directly with Delta. Booked through a travel agent that I expressed I wanted to utilize Southwest and she booked through Delta Vacation instead. Strike one. We had to change our returning flight and notified the Delta vacation representative on the day we met with her at the resort (trip was Thursday-Monday). We met with her Friday and she said it was done. Well here we are Monday and no transportation 2 hrs before our flight. I called customer service and they said she never sent over the new info to the office. We called the rep back and both the rep and customer service told us to purchase a taxi and they would reimburse us. It's not about the reimbursement it's the principle and we may miss our flight at this point. Aside from this, we asked to book with her a trip to CoCo Bongo in which she said she would get back to us. She texted us two days later even though we mentioned wanting to go on Saturday. She texted Sunday afternoon. They did NOTHING to fix the mishap THEY made. I will NEVER use this company again. oh, and let's just say, we weren't giving the option to book "star status" or the adult scene (although It was a 30th bday trip) at the time of booking. read more

Our travel agent told us to go through this company for our shuttle to and from the airport and to book our excursions through them so we did and boy I wish we didn't. Upon arriving in Cancun there was no shuttle to our resort, after waiting about an hour we finally got a ride. Then our driver stopped on the side of the road to get something, not sure what it was and not sure I want to know. We met with the rep at our hotel where he tried to upsell us on everything. He showed us a pamphlet for a tour with Cucurumbe Tours in Cozumel with snorkeling, lunch, dune buggies, shopping and tequila tasting so our party of 13 agreed to do that tour. We had a party of 5 within the party of 13 and didnt want to do the shopping or tequila tasting so we asked if we could break off and do the submarine tour he said that was fine and we wouldn't miss the snorkeling and the dune buggy. So we get to the ferry on the main land where were were guided to a pop up table within a store where this tour company told us it was going to be $25 each person to get onto the island, they said the government requires this tax. Upon looking it up it is only $12. So we finally make it to Cozumel and the Delta Vacations rep told them that only 2 of us were going to break off not 5 like we originally told him and because of that we were going to miss the dune buggy part of our excursion. The res of the family went to the dune buggy part and they said it was not as advertised because the buggies were Nissan cars with no doors an they were manual not automatic and the brakes did not work. I asked for a refund for that part of the excursion from the delta vacations rep and he did not respond to me. Then came time for us to go back to the airport, our ticket said the shuttle would be at the resort at 8:30 am so we had our bags and were there at 8 am. The 8:30 shuttle came and our name was not on the shuttle list. We were finally able to get to the airport through another shuttle an hour later that the resort set up for us. Very disappointment in Delta vacations! Probably won't use them again! Went to Hawaii! First went to Maui! Hotel was ok! Really in need of remodel! Staff was excellent! Spent 6 days in Maui and took flight to Oahu! Change our flight other to girls traveling with us we're going to fly out 5 hours later! We're suppose to all go together! So we bought plane tickets so we could all fly together! When we got to Oahu hotel we're suppose to stay in was still under construction! After you pay 25$ day to park and resort fees! When I arrive my room was not ready, I arrived at 2:00 pm, they said the check in was at 3:00 pm, I had lunch and at 4:00 pm the room was still not ready. Once I was able to check in, no one actually told me about was available to me. Also I tried to reach out to the delta representative Natdria at 876-564-9239 no answer, they told me to go to the premium side lobby, no one could find her or help me. I tried each day I was there, no help from anyone.I paid for ground transportation, I arrived on Aug. 6, and waited on a large bus for 1 hour before the driver drove me and 2 other people to the hotel. I tried to reach out to Naydria at 876-564-9239 to confirm my departure date on Aug 10, she did not respond or reach out to me, I never received my tour credit or transportation back to the airport on my departure date. I had to hire a taxi and pay $100.00 US to get back to the airport, I book my trip through delta vacations, and she is a representative of delta. I do have to say the room was good and also the food. Will not return, I been to Jamaica several times, I will stick to an American owned resort. This one is European owned. read more
