I called 2 days in a row and left a detailed message with admissions, specifically Megan, the second day, asking for someone to call me back. I had spoke with a very nice person in the rehab center who said she was in a 1 hour meeting and would be out at 10am. SILENCE again. Very disappointed with the customer service, hopefully this is NOT indicative of their patient care. I did call several rehab centers on the southside of Indy and everyone of them called me back within 2 hours! My dad easily found a nice place and we are all happy.

I know they're probably busy so my mom and I went there. We needed a two bedroom which they don't have available. We could get on the wait list and do the application. The fee is $50 a person, no problem. After a year the application expires and you need to do another if you don't get a place. Then pay another $50 per person. Good way to make money for them I guess. The lady was rude and didn't offer to let us look at a 1 bedroom to get an idea of what they look like. We tried to ask her some other things when another lady walked in. She turned away from us and started speaking with her. We were immediately dismissed.

This would be a decision that would end up being the worst 6 months for all of us. The call button wait times were 30 minutes or longer sometimes with my dad laying on the floor waiting for help to arrive. He had an untreated UTI, which I was told they were taking care of and they did not. He ended up in the hospital for over a week. When returning the did not give him medication for 7 days because there was a miscommunication. They are understaffed and cannot handle bigger medical needs but the DON with try to convince you they can. They cannot. Do not go here if your loved one has medical needs. This place would only be good for more independent people. We had to leave after 6 months in order to get the care we needed. There are some great nurses there but they are understaffed and not everyone is trained to provide the best care. They are not proactive with medical concerns and the doctors they use from Hansa group are not doing what we were told they would be doing.

They are short staffed, and the aides are so busy taking food orders, serving and cleaning up, that they don't have time to notice changes in resident's conditions. In addition to this, when my mother fell last April, they did not request an X-ray because her leg "didn't look swollen or red." They left her reclined in her chair. However, when I arrived to visit her the next day, she couldn't put weight on the leg. They told me to take her by car to Ortho-Indy for an X-ray. Ortho Indy determined that she had a comminuted fracture of the left tibia that required surgery. In addition to the tibia break, she had also suffered cervical fractures! Let's just say that after these two strikes, we moved her out. The facility may look nicely decorated, but looks can be deceiving.
