I am not sure if it varies from year to year but i noticed it was only $1000 for a year membership, if you compare that to some of the other courses in New Englad that seems to be really fair. This is a municipal maintained course, and typically that means that they don't have the same resources private clubs have but personally i dont think you would ever know. My only complaint is that the range is pretty close to the first hole and you will find 3-4 dozen range balls all over the 1st hole.

Strange I never knew this course existed until a friend invited me to play both North and South courses on one day. Overall it was fun. I played the South course much better than the slightly more difficult North. I'll blame it on being tired. It was a long day made needlessly longer. Both courses are in pretty good shape. The greens had quite a bit of undulation to them, but they ran true. Fairways were also in decent shape. It was a nice day of golf, but made long by poor course scheduling management. We prebooked our 3 tee slots, there were 12 of us. The morning round went off without a hitch. We were scheduled to go off the second round on the North course between 1 and 1:30, about an hour or so after the 1st round. When we completed the morning South course round, the pro informed us there would be a little delay as they had a scramble tournament in progress on the North and they were running slow. Nearly 2 hours later, and little communication, we were still waiting. I'm sure they run many scramble tournaments do it amazes me that thry misjudged completion so badly. Three weeks ago, I submitted their online form for a "Stay and Play" package in June--one night and 36 holes of golf. I never received a response. I called and spoke with Zak, who told me they were busy that weekend but would check with his manager and get back to me. A week went by with no follow-up. I called again, spoke with Zak, and was told he was waiting on a group of 18 to confirm and would call me Friday with an update. Once again, a week later no call. I called and left a message on voicemail for Zak. For the last time, no response. Fifteen years ago, my brother and I had a fantastic weekend here celebrating my 50th birthday, but sadly, the Country Club of New Hampshire has gone downhill since then. We'll be taking our business to another course and hotel.

It's a shame because the layout is great and location is accessible. Clearly they're hurting for cash or competence. During the drought after Covid it went to hell, we keep giving it a shot, but they can't seem to get it together. For $74 it's a massive let down. For $45 I'd accept it for what it is. I really want to like it, but I just can't. I'll be back in a few years to try again, but I'm not holding out hope unless they actually put effort into improving conditions.
