Arken is that guy if, you know, he was a museum. It means that I wouldn't hang there all the time, but I sure do like a little bit of nonsensical art from time to time. Also, there are things here that are actually quite good, even without being an expert in these things. The museum store is not fun. All I wanted was a coloring book, but apparently you can't be an adult AND fun at the same time. The restaurant brunch was good though.

We chose the two-hour tour, which felt like the perfect balance, not too short and not too long. While it is a bit more expensive than some of the larger boat tours, the experience is much more intimate. With a smaller group, it was easy to ask the captain questions and have meaningful conversations throughout the journey. One of the highlights was a brief stop at a historic military base, where we learned even more about Copenhagen's fascinating history. Along the way, we admired the city's stunning and unique architecture and, of course, made a stop at The Little Mermaid. Our captain, Aske, was one of the best tour guides we've ever had--friendly, entertaining, knowledgeable, and full of great energy. If you're considering a boat tour in Copenhagen, we highly recommend this one. It was an unforgettable experience, and we learned so much about the city. You won't regret it!

The perfect combo of social interactions, enjoying the company and great commentary and guiding. Very comfortable in the boat, we were blessed with a little sunshine so it was perfect. Drinks available to buy if wished and water readily on hand. There was a couple on board who were less interested in the social element but the Texan lady also on the boat was a delight to be with too. Our captain managed the dynamics very well. Fun little visit to another castle. Big halls, grand stairs, kitchen, big library and other neat…read morethings to sight see. Didn't get to see the stables. Christiansborg Palace is actually pretty wild -- it's the only place in the world where the government, the prime minister, and the Supreme Court all work in the same building. And under it, there are literal castle ruins from like the 1100s that you can walk through. Plus, the Danish royal family still uses parts of it for fancy events, so it's kind of like government offices + ancient history + royalty all stacked in one spot. Funny story. There's this extremely long dining table (see pics). You're not supposed to sit there but the tour guide said a family sat there to eat lunch one time.

Touring the Carlsberg brewery was a super fun and interactive experience. Of course you get to…read moresample their lagers and other beers. They tout to be one of the oldest beers in the world and they might be. Very interesting to learn about the history of the brewery and play/interact with the displays at your own pace with your group time. Afterwards, you can visit the gift shop, the hall of beer, and taproom + stables. The horses were gorgeous and they're working, where you might catch them pulling a wagon around. If you're in Copenhagen, worth a visit!

Thus, visiting Kronborg Castle was a highlight. First a little history, Frederick 2nd became King and married his 14 year old cousin, Sophie. Scandal, nah, not in those days.He wanted to build a castle that would be the envy of Europe and thus he did, Kronborg. Now, there are no historical facts that confirm that Shakespeare visited this castle. It is believed, the actors who performed in his plays did visit this castle and regaled William with stories and that is how Hamlet was conceived. Next, the castle...absolutely stunning ( I would like to believe that somehow I had relatives born in this era and the castle is in my blood). There are specific points where visitors can visit: Cannon Tower( 145 steps to the beautiful scenic views and you can see Sweden from here), Castle Kitchen,Chapel, Dance Hall. There are 45 minute tours that a guide will give you an overview of Castle and a 15 minute talk about how the Castle came to be started in the 1420's. I participated in the 15 minute overview and the staff member really gave a great history; I didn't know that Sweden and Denmark were at war with each other for centuries. The grounds are magnificent; there are steps to climb to get the scenic view of the sea. There are cafes, galleries and gift shops you can visit. I spent a pretty krone on some beautiful mementos. The entire staff were wonderful, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you! I highly recommend visiting Kronborg Castle when you visit Denmark. How to get here: Fly to Denmark, take Regional Train to Helsinor station then catch bus outside station. The bus ride is 5 minutes (1st stop). Or you can walk to the Castle, around 10 minutes. Myself being a Princess, took my carriage ( Bus 353) to said castle. Cheers!

Great location with a great view (Sweden is seen from many of the conference rooms)…read more Went here for three days of workshops and team activities. Interesting architecture with different rooms to work in and inspiring environments. Possibilities to walk outside on the lawn from some rooms. My room was below average and the temperature quite warm (woke up soaked both nights) - felt like some synthetic material in the blankets. However some colleagues were satisfied so I might have been unlucky. I went on the art tour displaying their large collection of Danish modern art creators - if there are no tours available, ask in the reception for a folder and the possibility of walking around and looking at the exhibition. There are also some nice walkways and running opportunities for the active ones. For lunch and dinner we had buffet which was above my expectations - fresh and clean with many options. I would give it a 3,5 / 5 due to the average room sleeping experience but since my colleagues apparently got good rooms I will raise it to a four.

There is also a stable nearby where you can see the horses and the carts they pulled to deliver the beer. Our guide on the tasting was a lot of fun. We sampled 3 different beers. We visited the gift shop and then went to the bar for our free beers which were nice and cold. All in all a great tour.

It's a little chaotic purchasing riches because the boarding lines, the ticket lines, and the prepaid ticket people are all in the same area. Lines crisscrossing. It sends like it could be very easy door someone to cut in line, but they seem to think it works for them, so ok. The ride is about 45 minutes to an hour. It really helps having a lively guide because to be honest, there's not that much to see, at least not up close. But there are clever looking buildings, like the one that looks like Tobeleron. There are nearby floating bars and restaurants. And there's even a binge humbling place across the waterway. You get to see the little mermaid statue... but only from the backside!!!

We'd been on boat tours in other cities, and it's usually one of the best things we do. You see things not from the perspective of a motor vehicle on a highway, or a train moving down the track, but rather as people did hundreds of years ago when moving across the sea or through waterways. The seats were ok, not the most comfortable, but not bad. The narration in English was excellent. I could put up many photos and a few videos of tight under-bridge passages, beautiful buildings, interesting boats, and so on. I'll leave that task to others, and keep my review uncluttered. Boat rides are great fun, young or old, no matter the level of fitness. Avoid the heat of the day, maybe aim at the final cruise of the day, and I believe you'll enjoy it.
