It is very small and doesn't have the best selection of some things. The pet section, for example is very small, no large cans of wet cat food, only the tiny packs. The staff wasn't over friendly but they weren't rude either, just in the middle somewhere, which is fine. We weren't sure how the shopping carts work, I think you have to pay a Quarter to use them? They're all chained together outside, with little slots, I guess for coins. A bit odd, I've never seen a store charge for borrowing a shopping cart. Maybe I just didn't know how it works, it was our first time at an Aldis. Anyway, great for saving money but bring your own bags because they also charge 12 cents a bag to use theirs.

Finally made it to the Amish grocery store, Pine Ridge groceries! Really excited to try the fried…read morepies. Be prepared for delicious bread, and the best preserves you could think of. The trash bin needed emptying but was otherwise good. We had no problems on the Supercenter aisle. A case of bottled water, some cheese and sliced meat and some chips. Easy. Self-checkout was slow as three people needed help at the same time. I know Walmart is leaning into this as a cost savings measure but it sure is annoying! The instore shoppers are so rude, they will run you over. One ran right into my cart and just kept going nearly knocking me over. When I went to check out I did choose to do self check out since I only had a few items, the card reader didn't work, the employee who came over to assist me did a terrible job, she was to busy talking to someone about when their last day was 2/13/26 not 2/21/26. She told me I would have to go over and stand in line for a checker to "scan a bar code" and I would be on my way. Well that was a wait, I asked her if I should just go somewhere else, and she said "Maybe you should". I did stand in line when I reached the checker there was no "bar code" given to me, she went to look for her and she told her there was none to give......so yes I had to have my already bagged groceries be taken out and re-scanned. If there were other places available in our town to shop I would never come back to this store. The employees are the rudest I've ever seen. I think that must be a requirement to get hired there. I know nothing will be done on this matter but at least I'm not the only one that ever complains.
