Below are the issues I found while briefly looking over the car that was contracted to be fixed by Dent King. Bottom line he will botch your car and cause additional damage on top of the job having to be redone. 1. Factory plastics: Painted over factory plastic guard under handle as you said so yourself initially that will just flake off. You said you would tape off that area and you did not. You painted right up to the one along the edge of the door. 2. Body work: You can see straight lines in the body work, not leveled and sanded smooth. The body work lines are not straight as you can see in the reflections. 3. Paint: There are pieces of dirt in the paint or pinholes. The paint is not blended to match the rest of the car. 4. Potential issues: The body work was rushed, Dent King asked that I not touch the paint because it's not dry. I told him that you can't give wet paint to a customer. Clear coat has to be sanded so it has to be dry. If he is willing to do that it's reasonable to assume he did not let body work under neath the paint dry enough before painting and all the work done no matter how poor quality will peel due to the trapped moisture. The below is damage incurred by actions of Dent King: 1. Behind the door handle is all course, completely over-sprayed. 2. The entire car is over-sprayed to include heavily on the plastics below the door. 3. There is a new scratch, something small and sharp was rubbing against the driver door near the handle. Below is the list of items Dent King agreed to do on the contract that they did not do. 1. Fix the scratch on the hood. 2. Fix the door ding on the same door as the other body work was done on. 3. Buff out scratched plastics. Dent King would not release my car if I did not pay $400 dollars. So $400 dollars was paid to dent king for release of vehicle damaged by dent king to mitigate further damage. read more

I was disappointed in this repair. In the end we paid him $125 for the rents to look worse because there was dimpling and a part felt of the clear coat felt burnt. He wasn't too concerned about it and told us not to wash it before we returned it to the rental company. Instead I found Dent Deminisher and he restored the car and took the time to do the work properly. What really astonished me was that if he thought that the front dent was easier and he couldn't get it right. Why mess with the back dent because he stated upfront that it was a harder repair? Couldn't be more impressed with Mike K. And Dent King. Got me in quickly, came out to my house, and gave me a very fair quote for how badly I dented the car. To top it off, the car is wrapped so that added another level of difficulty. The wrap company needed something sanded a bit more for their seal to work on the re wrap of the messed up panel, and mike came out the next day to their garage and promptly reworked the surface until the Echelon Auto Sports said it was perfect. The most unprofessional person/owner/body shop ever. They were also using broken/old devices.. Was not using the Correct/Proper products/tools/methods to fix the body of a vehicle. I have had many many good experiences with Auto Shops everywhere, but.. THIS PLACE WAS TERRIBLE... in MANY DIFFERENT WAYS. not sure how all the Bad Reviews are not all on here, on Google Maps. You guys should know that THERE'S PLENTY OF BAD COMMENTS/REVIEWS about Dent King on the Internet/YouTube/Yelp/Google/etc. (it's a hassle searching for them, but they're there, SOME ARE HIDDEN.) not sure how they are able to get people to write such positive reviews about them. About 2 weeks ago we decided that we want to have our van's body fixed.. (because it came with dents & scratches from a car dealer, we bought it from.) so we searched online for a auto body shop, tons of auto body shops came up.. and we just picked this one called Dent King, unfortunately. I called their number, talked to the guy (mike), sent him the picture of 1 small dent only, and asked him what his best price was to only fix this 1 small dent. (if he could fix this 1 dent, and there's no problems, then i would try to let him do other body work on our van.). He said he'll fix it for $125, and so we made a appointment to meet him at his Auto Shop. On the day of meeting him.. as he was trying to fix the small dent on our van, he was using a old/broken device.. that i had to keep helping him hold it up, so that he can keep looking at it, to fix the small dent on our van. I was being a nice/kind person helping him to fix my van. as he struggled to fix the small dent... he actually did fix it... and it only took about 15 minutes. BUT... the whole time he was ACTUALLY ALSO HITTING THE OUTSIDE OF THE DENT WITH A METAL HAMMER! causing DAMAGE TO THE PAINT/BODY! at the end, the small dent was actually gone, just some tiny damages to the paint/body.. but not very noticeable. so to me, it was overall not bad of a deal, so... I asked him if he can fix another dent area, and only remove the Scratches that is all around the van.. and he agreed to only fix one more small dent area (on the back door of the van.) and remove all the Scratches from the van (He said he'll remove all the Scratches in the method of Buffing/Polishing them all out.) for $450 total. There was actually a total of 3 people that was ATTEMPTING/TRYING to do the work on the van. 1 guy was fixing the 1 small dent and.. actually did that normally, which was good, HOWEVER when it was PAINTED, it LOOKED UGLY/RUSHED, COLOR DID NOT MATCH! and there was ugly leftover permanent PAINT SPLATTER/SPOTS ALL AROUND THE VAN... and they ACTUALLY DIDN'T SIMPLY CLEAN THEM UP. The 2nd guy was only trying to buff/polish out all the Scratches around the van.. From looking at the van after he was done.. CLEARLY IT SHOWS THAT HE DID NOT DO THE BUFFING/POLISHING ON ALL THE SCRATCHED AREAS OF THE VAN (as agreed.). and.. almost all the SCRATCHES ARE STILL THERE and... HE ACTUALLY ONLY PUT PAINT INSIDE SOME SCRATCHES TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE HE REMOVED THE SCRATCHES (what a joke!). The 3rd guy (mike) painted parts of the van (THEY WAS NOT ABLE TO COLOR MATCH IT.). he did a VERY UGLY/MESSY/RUSHED/UN-PROPER PAINT JOB and.. HE DID NOT COMPLETE THE JOB. HE DID NOT LET THE PRIMER/PAINT DRY PROPERLY... i saw him using a HEAT GUN TO DRY THE PRIMER/PAINT! (so unprofessional & ugly.) so at the end of that day, since they DID NOT REMOVE ALL THE SCRATCHES ON THE VAN as they said they will, and did NOT EVEN DO WORK ON PARTS OF THE VAN, and did such UN-PROPER/UGLY PAINTING, and LEFT PERMANENT PAINT/LIQUID SPLATTER/DRIPPING ALL AROUND MY VAN, and also left TONS OF DUST/DIRT INSIDE MY VAN... at the end of that day i pointed these out to mike.. and he agreed to take half of the $450.. which is $225 that I had to pay him. it was also agreed that our van will come back to finish the small Paint Job. But he actually didn't keep his word again. THERE'S TONS OF GOOD AUTO SHOPS OUT THERE.. WISH I DIDN'T COME HERE. if you love your car/luxury car.. don't let them ruin it. take your luxury car to a Good/Professional Auto Shop. some of the PHOTOS ARE POSTED ON HERE. unfortunately this application only allows me to upload only 20 photos of the tons that we have. Communicated very effectively, made it clear that they could not fix 3 small spots, all relatively insignificant, quoted a very competitive price. and did the job. Very pleased. And would recommend. Mike (the owner) caught me off guard with his vulgar language. His son came to my place of employment with him and without permission started buffing my Lexus (son was clearly intoxicated or on drugs). Mike and his son argued while working which showed the unprofessionalism. Mike used touch up paint on my car without telling me, I have touch-up paint from the dealership that is coded by vin number so I stopped him. Up until the last moment, he was vulgar and thought it was ok and funny. I would not recommend Dent King unless you like constant raunchy vulgar filthy talk. The work was satisfactory but the service was very bad. Regret spending my money to hear him and his son argue while working AND using vulgar language right in front me (the customer). If you do hire Dent King, watch them carefully so they don't start doing things to your car without warning. (the touch up paint could've been a disaster if I wasn't watching them.) read more
