Went in for routine cleaning , as Jackson is a preferred in-network provider for Delta Dental. It…read morewas explained to me that I would be forced to have X-rays $55 (bite-wings) although I did not desire this. Unfortunately, it was not disclosed to me that I would also be charged for a complete oral exam @ $70. The dental hygienist was not allowed to do the cleaning, for which I was not prepared. Her first mistake was to drop one of the instruments on the floor, which was strangely ignored. I should have taken the red flag! She attempted to use an ultrasonic scaler Cavitron to repeatedly gouge into my gums. I had to stop & admonish Dr Varnedoe that if the gouging didn't stop, I would be walking out. She seemed nonplussed, & suddenly was done with the scaling. Apparently, manual dexterity &/or proper use of the ultrasonic instrument is a real concern. I feel that it was impacting the enamel surfaces, & rather felt more like a drill than a cleaning tool. It could have been the wrong intensity &/or wrong tip being used. ZERO STARS

This office is a total scam. They're totally ripping off my mother. She's been in about three times…read morenow for a basic cleaning, and they have yet to finish that task. They keep telling her it is an extensive, deep cleaning without giving her a price list or service sheet in advance as is the norm with most dental offices. With each subsequent visit, there have been additional excuses as to why one basic cleaning is taking so long. Today, she was told that they only cleaning half her teeth and that she will have to return again for the rest. What?! That is not what she was told when the appointment was made. On top of that, they refused to bill her dental insurance. When she called her insurance company after the visit, she was told to file a grievance because the office should have done a basic cleaning to begin with and this visit would not be covered. Today's visit was over $300 out of pocket. Additionally, the receptionist has been very rude to my mother. A complaint to the lady who said she was over everyone in the office made no difference.

Then I didn't except what they gave me.I loaded photos. What in the world !!!!! They had me looking like buck tooth Betty! Listen. My gums on the dentures looked swollen around the teeth. The top ones didn't have enough teeth. Go, don't Go, take pictures, record your visit. If you except what they give you your good. The dentist wouldn't help me fix them. So I got my money back!!!! And listen the loan company , and Aspen Dental Head quarters will return same week they are awesome. But that office is a bully.
