Rico Suave (the dentist) and his techs, hell, all the workers in there are prejudice and trying to hide it. Today, I got a tooth extraction. The assistant acted as if I was contagious. He kept telling her to hold up my auxillary. It got to the point I held it myself. they talked to me as if I was a typical uneducated black woman. I have a MBA in Healthcare. I asked for my tooth (my crystal). The assistant said I could not have it. Why, it is mine? I want it. After rolling her eyes, I called her out on it. She denied it. Rico told her to clean it up and give it to me. After a few minutes he came and talked to me about the procedure and after care. Unfortunately for him, my spirit had already alerted me of the BS. Like his penis being too close to my face. I ignored it. FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED AND YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN. Then he ask me if she gave me my tooth. I told him no and if she destroyed it, there is going to be a problem. I followed him to where she was and yep, she destroyed it. I asked why she just had this little smirk on her face while looking at him. I asked what was so funny? We are going back and forth. Rico tried to say she did not her him. She heard him. She said, ok. I HEARD THEM BOTH! The assistant had a star sticker on her face. I wanted to make her SEE STARS! THEN... as I was asking her, the assistant, what was so funny ANOTHER ASSISTANT GOT IN MY FACE AND SAID... SHE IS NOT LAUGHING. I said to her "I was not talking to you". Her and I went back and forth a few times until the GIRL/BOY assisatant got in between us said something in spanish to her and she moved. WTF did IT say? That was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional!!! I honestly belive she did what he told her to do. They played in my face and thought it was funny! I was seen @ 2:15pm As I'm walking to the back past the front desk to the exam / x-ray room, Rap / hip hop music is blasting over the sounds of crying children (No exaggeration at all ) I ask the dental assistant, shouldn't the music be soothing or relaxing ? and not so loud! he laughs, and says "I'm new here. you can't tell those girls anything". Then he rakes the x-ray card across my gums and I reached up and grabbed his hand. "Oh my bad"! I almost punched him! He leaves the room to ask for assistance to operate the x-ray machine. Then a sexually suggestive Rihanna song comes on and the volume goes up higher, kids are still crying by way. It felt like I was getting dental work done in "THE HOOD" in someones spare room! I still waited an additional 15min for a simple cleaning to get started. And at 2:45pm I got up and walked out! the dental assistant or Dr./dentist never checked on me while I waited in that "Unstructured" Leaderless environment. My family and I have been patients of the Dental Dreams, Blue Island office for several years. Even though they're always running behind schedule and it's a long wait to see the dentist. I've never had an issue with them until now. On Thursday July 6th, Dental Dreams called and informed me that my partial was completed and in office. The clerk proceeded to set up an appointment and this is where the problem began. The appointment she attempted to give me was for August 9th! I asked why it was over a month away and she explained that because Dr. Kapoor was the dentist that started the process and she has to be the dentist that finishes it and she's on vacation and only works two days a week and her next available appointment is August 9th. That's unacceptable!!! So since then I've been calling and asking to speak with the office manager (Ericka) which I can never speak to and they're giving me the run around. I asked for their corporate office number and I was given a number that I'm unsure if it really is their corporate office but I have left two messages there as well. This is absolutely ridiculous that I have to wait over a month to pick up my partial that I paid a lot of money for out of pocket. Once I finally receive my partial my family and I will no longer do business with Dental Dreams. I do not recommend this place. Please don't waste your time and money. read more

This place has horrible scheduling issues. Post COVID 19 lockdown I made an appointment for my daughter to get a cleaning. We arrived at her appointment time of 2p and was told we had to sit in our car until they call us. Well... 1 hour and 30 minutes passed and no call! So I called to check her place on the list and was told they'd been trying to call me... They've been calling a number that I no longer have. I also have my cellphone number on file but they acted as though it wasn't. A good business tactic would be to make sure the person signing in patients have the correct number. I still can't believe they don't go according to scheduling even with COVID 19 in effect. We're going to change dentist as making appointments are important for people that have other priorities. read more

He ordered his workers to take about 30 unnecessary xrays, when I already had copies of my sons xrays. His staff kept calling my son a she on purpose. No one needs that many xrays. My son was in tears. The dentist doctor was rude and lazy. I asked for a dental exam form for school checkup, a female dental assistant snapped back arent schools on strike? He began to tell me that when I go to the medical Dr. I' m not seen on time. He is very unprofessional and answers questions with a smart answer about wait times at other facilities. He is a detriment to the clinic. I spoke with clinic manager Corinna, regarding Robert's unprofessionlism and obtained the corporate email and phone number. I made an appointment for a broken filling in one of my molars (which is hurting badly since 2 weeks ago) . I went there early, waited 40 minutes after the time of my appointment, finally I was called and then inside someone was in training, this person that took X-rays did it wrong, I counted 10+ times, because the images were not properly taken. After that I waited 1 more hour for the doctor to see me, she said that I had multiple cavities ( which yes I know) and told me she had options and that she was gonna try to save my molar if not, then root canal or extraction . Then she proceeds to do a cleaning on my teeth (which I didn't ask for because I came because I was in pain and wanted my molar to be fixed) she didn't read the application I filled where I noted that I have sensitivity to cold water and proceeded to wash my teeth with cold water twice specially in the molar that Im having trouble with ( felt like she was doing it on purpose), at this point I was in more pain that when I came in, after that, she said to go and ask for an appointment to see me another time and I was confused cause she didn't do anything on my molar. when I went to ask for the appointment the ladies in the front said that they didn't have any appointments until November or December , really???? So they made the appointment for the third week of November.. do you guys really think I'm going to be in pain for 2 months??? The dentist didn't even give me antibiotics or pain medication, I'm so disappointed! This is the worst place to go get your teeth fixed! I Do not recommend anyone going there at all, they do not treat you with care or take your pain seriously, for them you are only a monetary claim for the insurance... The second one is the children's playhouse within the facility. This isn't a park! Talk about germs! Ick! The third is customer service and follow thru. I had an appointment early May, I was told that I'd hear back about a follow-up appointment and work to be done in 6-8 weeks (in the meantime, soft food diet until then). Okay, I should be anorexic by then. Thanks! Fast forward 6 1/2 weeks later, still no call. So, I call them. Said it should only take a week for insurance to approve work to be done. Call back at the end of that same week to check status. Said it was just submitted 2 days ago. Wtf??? What have you been doing 6 weeks prior to me calling? I would NOT recommend this place! I had an appointment for 4pm on Oct 6 for both of my kids. I was asked to go to my car to fill out forms and we would be called back in shortly. At 5pm I called to verify that they hadnt somehow missed the call. I was told to give them another 15 mins. It is now 5:31 and we still haven't been called!! This is exactly why I did not want to take my chances on a location thats probably 90% Medicaid patients!! I will pay the out of pocket expense and have my kids to our regular dentist who us not in network, AND NOT FLOODED WITH MEDICAID APPOINTMENTS. read more

When I called to make my appointment, they asked me to call back with my insurance information so they could call in advance and verify my coverage, so i did that. When i went in for my appointment, i had to wait 2 hours for them to verify my insurance. Then when i was finally brought in to be seen, again, 2 HOURS later, she told me that if i had just called in prior to my appointment and given then my insurance information, i wouldn't have had to wait 2 hours, but i told her that i did that, and she told me no i didn't. I insisted that i did do that and she just said that it was never verified. I waited for an additional 15 minutes in the chair listening to a kid screaming and crying to the booth next to me, until a dental hygenist came to explain that i would be receiving an xray. I had filled out my paper work earlier and wrote down that there was a possibility that i was pregnant, so i felt that i should mention that to the dental assistant. Immediately upon telling him, he told me that i could not get my xrays taken or be seen by the dentist at all today. Then the doctor cane in and explained to me that even if there is a slight chance I'm pregnant, there's nothing she can do for me, and told me that i should have written it down in my paper work. I told her that i did, but she told me if i did, they would have sent me away right away. The service here was basically as bad as it gets. They blamed me for all their mistakes when i didn't do what they claimed i did, and their negligence could have resulted in birth defects and a life of problems for me, but was also a complete waste of my time. If I could give zero stars I would. I went to this place a couple days ago, and my experience was awful! I waited forty five minutes to see the dentist in an extremely crowded, dirty waiting room. Then I go to the back to have my xrays taken. Another forty five minutes later, the dentist comes in. Turns out they lost my x rays and they had to be taken again. Another half hour goes by, and he comes back and says how need a deep cleaning. He looked at my teeth for thirty seconds! He left again, and the receptionist comes back with an estimate for 400 for the cleaning and a filling, after they included my insurance. I knew I was getting ripped off. I went to my regular dentist, and I was able to get a basic cleaning, and she said that a deep clean was only necessary for those with advanced gum disease. Dental Dreams cares nothing for patients, and will rip you off any chance they get. read more

I visited this office about four years ago and that was for a tooth that broke right in the front. This office was recommended by a young friend of mine. I haven't been to the dentist except for cleaning every six months so I decided to give it a go. My previous Dentist had retired.My cracked tooth was fixed by a Dentist there but it didn't last but a few months and after he fixed it, it lasted for over two years. Then, the same tooth broke again right in the front! Naturally, I went back to the same office. Sadly, the Good Dentist was gone. I should have made a 360 but I thought it worked well the first time, why not go for a second time. This means I had to pay another office visit. When this Indian Dentist finished, she left my teeth looking like a W when I smiled. I was so self-conscious. I went back to her and she couldn't make it any better. This time, they recommended another Dentist. I went for my appointment, sat in the waiting room for almost an hour only to be told that the Dentist had canceled her appointments that day. They didn't apologize or express any regrets for having me adjust my schedule, missing work, I am a free Lance, so it was a waste of my time. I tried to call the Supervisor to address my concerns but they just kept giving me the run around. I would not recommend my animal to this place, even though I don't have one. My question is, How can this Facility operate on such poor standards and still collect money from the government having many Medicare patients.. The bottom line, I had to pay out of pocket a total of 2,600 dollars to another Dentist who decided fix my mouth properly with crowns. This office refused to at least return my $179.00 for my office visit. Please stay away from this place. I had to learn the hard way. read more

I had an appointment and they called everyone in the waiting room before me. I got called 1 and a half hours after my appointment time. Just to go in the back and sit in the chair to wait another half hour for the dentist to come in. I was there for a total of 4 hours. The receptionists are rude and are constantly on the phone making more appointments insTead of helping the overcrowded waiting room. The doctors are so over worked he had to stop in the middle of my fillings to go do another patient. I couldn't close my mouth and laid thEre for a half hour. All my fillings he did fell out within two days. I'm back in there office already been waiting for 45 mins past my appointment time and still haven't been called. My teeth are in so much pain they hurt more after he "filled them" they drill holes all in ur teeth then don't close them right. Idk how this place in still in business.
