I had implants put in several years ago here. One of them actually came out all by itself. Costs lots of money and time to have a proper on put back in. Now the other one has failed and is actually coming out the side of my mouth. I will again spend tons of money to have this surgically removed so I can get a proper one replaced. read more

My experience with Dental Express Ajijic was deeply disappointing. I traveled from the US after scheduling a procedure with them, booking a flight and accommodations. Three days before my flight I was informed that my scheduled surgeon was unavailable, but I was assured they could accommodate me in Guadalajara instead. The procedure date and a number of other appointments were set. All emails were last minute - even 24 hours before my flight I wasn't sure they had an appointment for me. Upon arrival, all my appointments were rescheduled, the procedure rescheduled for Monday. Sunday night, I received an email stating I was ineligible entirely for the procedure - that it would most likely fail. While I'm glad they didn't just go through with it, I also asked why they didn't tell me before I flew to Mexico. They claimed my dentist didn't send my records in time - my dentist has timestamped emails that disprove that claim. I did receive a teeth cleaning and small filling replacement from a skilled and kind dentist at Dental Express. However, the management's incompetence overshadowed this positive experience. When I asked what treatment they would recommend, they suggested a mouthwash. I flew 2,000 miles for this experience and under no control of my own, wasted a significant amount of money and time. worked on my son and pulled wisdom teeth. got infection. went back for 4 months and had "professional dentists" tell him it was in his head and he was a trouble maker. went to lakeside medical and had a ct scan tell us he had an infection from dental work. what a coincidence. owner said he never heard of this case after four months and then told me he'd only talk to my son, who he claimed simply had "hurt feelings" funny that the owner wouldn't talk to me until I made reviews. he doesn't care about patients. he cares about his reputation only. absolutely the worst. read more

The dentist is very kind, and given that my Spanish is not great nor his English, he asked a woman to help translate who stood through my procedure of cleaning and impressions. I definitely recommend this place, even to my non-Spanish-speaking friends. The dental cleaning is $190, and the impression for a night guard is $800. read more

My experience with Dental Express, Ajijic was excellent. From the waiting room to the transportation and the doctors, was great. I was scheduled for an implant surgery and bone graft which was completed and without any pain or complications by Dr Aldo. Then I had root canal which was not scheduled but they fit me in before I had to leave to come back to the states. That also went well and was done by Dr. Garcia. Then I had a large filling done by Dr Andrea which was also excellent . I never had to wait more 10 minutes for any of my appointments and almost everyone speaks very good English. I traveled from the U.S. to Ajijic for my dental work and am very happy to report it was a success. Christopher Macias handled our accommodations, our airport shuttle, and our transpo to Dental Express and back every day that I had an appointment (which was 3 days out of 7). One note: be sure to contact the office a few days before you fly to confirm that your driver will be there when you arrive - ours was not. We ended up taking a taxi to the hotel. But Dental Express did not charge us for the airport round trip, only the one way back. The hotel, while 15 mins outside of town was clean, modern, and had a lovely view of Lake Chapala. We were happy to experience it but next time I think I'll request a stay in downtown Ajijic - despite the warnings of noise from late night parties...I'm willing to risk it :) My dentist Felipe Ochoa Ortega had a wonderful manner - kind, gentle, and attentive to my every need. The work he has done is perfect - replacement of a crown, replacement of a filling, 2 bondings, and teeth whitening. I'm very happy. I was also very surprised that I experienced NO pain whatsoever, and so I didn't need nitrus. The cost was very reasonable and worth every penny. I highly recommend Dental Express for English speaking visitors to Ajijic. Everyone there is bi-lingual. Special hats off to our driver Freddie - he was an absolute gem! read more

Had 4 implants and 5 crowns done here. Had problems with all work. To their credit, Dental Express never charged for repairs to the work done. Best to use them for general dentistry like cleaning and fillings. read more

My wife and I have been to 3 dentists in the area and Dental Express is the best. The prices are reasonable and you can get crowns done in-house while you wait. The work I've had done so far has been top-notch and the crowns blend in perfectly with the other teeth. They are also very flexible in scheduling when you need to see them at the last minute. Another bonus is that they're conveniently located with plenty of parking. read more

I have been going to Dental Express for 10 years. Always above and beyond with service They fixed major implant issues from another dentist. Have managed to get me in with emergency and have better equipment then dentist in Canada. Highly recommend. read more
