I was also curious about the cost of services in Mexico versus the US. It was very easy to make an appointment for the following day. On appointment day they were on time, which was refreshing. The office is small, very nice, clean and professional. Staff is friendly in an authentic way, not the 'we're going to pretend you're not a number and run you through the process as quickly as possible way'. Doctora Maria spent about 20 minutes with me, reviewing x-ray images I brought, assessing my teeth and answering my questions. In the end, her recommendations were in line with my general dentist but different from the oral surgeon previously mentioned. Given I've been with my general dentist for nearly 15 years, I tend to believe him over an unknown oral surgeon (for a procedure that isn't required). Doctora Maria provided similar input as my dentist, which I believe to be the best recommendation for my situation. The price for recommended services are substantially less expensive in Mexico, especially given US dental insurance doesn't cover anything.

He screwed up my Back molar. said I had 3 cavities and wanted to put new enamel on 5 teeth. I called him back and he was going to try to fit me in and I haven't heard one thing from him. He told me not to take any more pain pills that I shouldn't be in any pain. He didn't even give me anabiotic's which is the cause of my problem. I don't even know if he's a real dentist. We decided to go to Guadalajara Mexico and see how much this treatment would cost we were quoted from between $15,000 in $18,000 still extremely expensive but better than the price in the US. Dr. irma was extremely professional and on the first consultation spent about two hours with my brother adjusting his dentures which he would have to wear for a time before the implants were actually done. This would've never happened in the United States where the Dentist might see you for 15 minutes. The surgeon who is actually putting in the implants speaks English and was extremely professional and nice, again spending a lot of time explaining what procedures are going to be done. He still has to go back one more time for the completion of this dental work but he was extremely happy with the people and the work that was done so far. I went to see this doctor because my dentist in the United States said I had three cavities and needed a new crown more than $2700. While in Mexico I had a complete and extensive set of x-rays done and my doctor said I had no cavities and I was not in need of a crown on that particular tooth but actually another one which my dentist in Sacramento California did not even mention My exam cost less than $40. This office is staffed by all females and they will be moving to a new office in a few weeks. The office has 3 or 4 specialists so they are able to deal with any dental need. The staff all speak English/communication is no problem. They can help with hotels,airport pickup and recommendations in Guadalajara. Which i think is one of the nicest cities in Mexico.
