Just moved here from California. Glad I found Dental Associates of Delaware. I checked in and they…read morecalled me in immediately, didn't have to wait too long. Answered any concerns I had and were so kind and helpful. Love a place that actually cares and also doesn't just want to rip you off (They tried to help me out since I was paying out of pocket; still trying to figure out my insurance) and overall were just a breath of fresh air to have than the nightmare of dentists I've had in the past. Looking forward to my next appointment for sure!

Walking into the office you will immediately fell the warmth and care from the in-take staff. The lobby is clean and always well organized. Next, as you enter the care bay, you will once again see the high quality of cleanliness and organization. Their equipment are modern and the staff is very knowledgeable. My hygienist is very skillful and caring. She takes the time to listen to my concerns and always willing to provide excellent guidance. After my cleaning session, my teeth always feel clean. And she sends me away equip with the skills and knowledge to continue caring for my dental hygiene. The support staff always reach out with reminders about upcoming appointments and are always willing to accommodate changes to fit busy schedules. I highly recommend this office for your dental care.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This office made a serious mistake on my account after I…read moreclearly informed them that I no longer had private insurance through my job because I was laid off and now have Medicaid. Despite providing this information, they continued billing my former private insurance and ignored my Medicaid coverage. As a result, I was left with an incorrect balance of $250 even though the billing error was entirely on their part. They have since refused to see me or my 16-year-old daughter, even though they accept my Medicaid plan. Every attempt I've made to schedule an appointment has been met with rudeness and unprofessionalism, especially from Jessica, who repeatedly hangs up the phone when I call once she realized it's me she don't want to answer my questions she keep saying "goodbye". This experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Patients should not be denied care due to office errors or poor billing practices. I truly hope management reviews their staff conduct and billing procedures immediately. I am now filing a Complaint to the State Department of Health / Medical Board and the Medicaid and/or Insurance Commissioner for refusal of care and improper billing practices. Someone needs to be held accountable .

They claim the tooth is decaying - but how can this be? Sounds like they didn't properly prepare the tooth for the filing. When I called I also mention myself fearing to return because I didn't trust them...my last filing (first in 40 years) was done in March, the filing fused two of my teeth together. They said it has been too long so I have to pay for them to fix their mistake. What a sham; I feel betrayed, cheated and my call with them ending by them telling me, "We're a business", you must understand. I understand they care more about their business than their customer's teeth.

To be honest, I've actually given them reasons to be frustrated at times, by rescheduling appts, and not always doing the simple preventative care they ask of me. Everyone is in business to make money, but these folk also show care for their clients -- these 2 paradigms are not mutually exclusive, and their great service is a testament to that. Michael B.

Be very cautious if you ever need a second opinion or your medical history from Delaware Smile…read moreCenter. After this office recommended a full mouth restoration costing $55,000-$60,000 instead of a standard whitening treatment, I requested my complete dental records to seek an independent evaluation. In explicit violation of federal HIPAA Right of Access regulations, this clinic refused to hand over my usable files. They sent only compressed, low-resolution thumbnail sheets of my X-rays and intraoral photographs that are completely unusable for diagnostic purposes by any other doctor. When pressed for my full file, the office explicitly stated in writing: "At this time, no treatment plans are available, and I cannot release the doctor's clinical notes." Under federal law, a dental office cannot legally refuse to release your clinical notes or withhold diagnostic-quality records. Because of their written refusal to provide my legal health history, I have formally filed regulatory complaints against Delaware Smile Center with both the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for HIPAA violations and the Delaware Board of Dentistry and Dental Hygiene. Please protect your patient rights and go elsewhere. UPDATE (July 16, 2026): After I notified the office that I filed formal state and federal complaints, they finally emailed my files--but they deliberately degraded the medical evidence. They intentionally converted all of my original, digital clinical intraoral photographs into black-and-white files. This is a direct violation of HIPAA Privacy Rule 45 CFR § 164.524, which legally requires providers to supply records in the exact form and format requested if readily producible. Grayscale photos strip away critical diagnostic data, making it impossible for a new dentist to properly evaluate soft tissue and gum health. They are continuing to actively block my right to a usable second opinion.
