My first experience with this place as very unprofessional. I had spotted this office while I was out shopping over at Pete's Food. I was in the need of searching for a new dentist. So, I wrote down the number and instantly call to set up an appointment. I spoke with a young woman and told her that I was looking to set up an appointment and that I would be a new patient. Ok cool set up the appointment gave her all my information. She said that once my insurance was verify someone would call me back. I understand that it was the weekend and it would take until a weekday for someone gets back to me. Well I waited and I call the office back that Wednesday to make sure that I was going to be set up for my Thursday's appointment. Called back and got a complete run around. Very unprofessional team and lack of knowledge. It took me to get an attitude before some called me back and got down to business. I had to go through the whole process again of giving my information so that my insurance could be confirmed with the dentist office. I'm not sure how they are conducting business but it's not professional. I finally was able to get things moving and ready for my appointment that week. Terrible place. We never feel welcome. The staff is unclean. They've dropped instruments on the floor and picked them up to use them on my kids, thinking we wouldn't notice. After stating that they need to change their gloves and instruments, they rolled their eyes at us. I need to change this dental office ASAP! read more

PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE REVIEW BEFORE GOING HERE I only went here because I had moved into the area. This was the first dentist I went to. I wish I would have read the reviews before going. I get my cleanings EVERY 6 months. I went here for my cleaning and the dentist told me I had NINE cavities. I couldn't believe him but I trusted him. Worst mistake ever. He convinced me to have them filled because they were "bad". Mind you I had NO PAIN OR ANY ISSUE. I've never had a cavity before and at my least 6 month check up I didn't have any. You mean to tell me in 6 months I developed 9 cavities? Unfortunately I let him do fillings on one side and I regret it so much because ever since then I NOW have issues. I have sensitivity and some nerve pain. For 3 months after the fillings I had the worst pain ever, I had to take medicine around the clock to block the pain before it started. When I went back he told me I might need a root canal but he didn't know where. Ridiculous. I never went back for the other side because my gut told me not to. I went somewhere else and had a VERY thorough exam with multiple xray views and I didn't have a single sign of a cavity. I regret going to this place so much. The dentist is such a scammer it's actually really sad that there are people in the medical field who are like this. When I called and asked for my X-rays they gave me a hard time about it which is so absurd considering their mine and my insurance paid for it. They told me "keep in mind dentists have different opinions". This was the receptionist. So unprofessional. How can a dentist make a medical decision off his "opinion" and not a clinical reason? Dentist Dr Karim is rude and rushed. Many have heard him tell colleagues that he never spends more than a few minutes with each patient and this is on purpose. I came in for a chipped front tooth which he tried to fix, but left it unfinished. He also never filled my cavities because he claimed one tooth at a time even though all he wanted was to spend 5 minutes on me as his patient and didn't care I was in pain on a molar. I returned again to get the front tooth adjusted and he took it personal that I wanted it fixed more, and he literally got angry and told me to get out of his office and go to another facility. I did so gladly since his demeanor was unbelievably rude and horrible. Never have been treated so poorly by a dentist in my entire lifetime. I had to go to a real cosmetic dentist to fix my issue. Show up on time if you want to wait in the lobby for literally a hour without being seen, while several(5) people who came and checked in after me were seen first. Inquired at 40 minutes how much longer and I was told 15 minutes and they were backed up, but 20 minutes past and they took another patient who came well after me... mind you I'd still need to be given anesthesia and have to wait an additional 30mins. I didn't plan on spending my entire day here for an operation that takes around 15 mins and to be pushed to the back of the que. I was already on the fence about this place as previous visits I would leave and end up with some type of prolonged sensitivity in my teeth/gums that I didn't have prior to the visit and now need to find another dentist to fix what they've done. I can't understand how a business that is so adamant on you confirming your appointment multiple times (text and calls days before and day of) had me waiting for so long. Meanwhile I switched seats multiple times with my young toddler to accommodate all the incoming patients/families who were being seen before me... definitely not appropriate and I left without being seen to avoid wasting any more of my time and any future issues in my mouth caused by them. read more

Please don't go here! I made an appointment for a routine checkup and cleaning. They took a full mouth of x-rays, checked my teeth briefly and said everything was fine; however, they recommended a "deep cleaning" that would cost me $1200 out of pocket. When I said I could not do it that day, they said you are "done" here. I asked if I could get a regular cleaning and they replied "No". After my appointment, I asked for copies of the x-rays they had taken (4 times now) and they have not sent them as promised...it's been over 4 weeks now. read more

They never could get my xrays right except for this last visit which was THE WORST I've ever experienced at any dentist or doctor's office. I waited in the room for an hour and nobody explained to me why I was waiting. I assume there was an emergency which would've been fine had someone simply did proper customer service and informed me. This took my whole lunch hour and I didn't eat. Then the system didn't save an appointment I made for 5pm. I come in only to be told there are no appointments that fit my schedule. I'll be damned if I take a risk to take off of work only to sit for an hour or more again. Where's any type of compensation for my time or being unnecessarily xrayed since I wasn't seen? read more

Honestly, just like the Google review say I had first-hand experience on the unprofessionalism the front desk lady that makes the appointments and I don't know where her head is at work but I called for a late evening appointment and of course she scheduled me at noon I try to call back and tell her that's not the appointment I made she argues with me then yes that's it. I'm just like lady that's physically impossible for me to come at that time, I know when I scheduled my appointments please don't make me feel stupid and would not recommend. RUN! While waiting to get my exam the dr openly talks about his patients as fake society in the suburbs and how he hates people in the suburbs. My technician couldn't get my X-rays done properly and took 17 photos!! That's insane!! This was my Second horrific experience with this location. The first I left in tears after they destroyed my smile with mercury fillings without ever giving me an options when my insurance covers both. Both teeth were just blanketed with a massive amount of ugly amalgam. I have to pay to have them removed elsewhere. THIS time they gave me an almost lethal amount of epinephrine in my Novocain and hit a nerve. I had such severe chest pain, horrible shaking and almost blacked out before they finally called an ambulance. I'm still dealing with the side effects of what they did. My jaw won't relax. I have not slept. I still have palpitations. read more

I came because they took my insurance, but HOLY COW! They call like solicitors and it's annoying. I will be blocking and finding a different dentist. I have three kids and at their ages, they don't need much done. I was planning to take them for annual cleanings and exams, but for some reason they call me each month, three times, one for each kid to try and schedule despite me telling them I will call when I'm ready to. I don't think it's helpful or convenient to call this repetitively. I'm not sure if this is dental town protocol, or specific to this location, but no thanks. I said I'd call, and I was planning to, but now I just want to wash my hands of this place. read more

Dr. Karim and his staff are excellent! A friend referred me. I am so glad I found this dentist. The work that my old dentisit told me would not be covered by my insurance company - was covered at Dental Town (because my insurance plan had made changes). Dr. Karim and his staff are a machine - from first appointment he started doing the work. He is experienced and straight forward. The staff that works there are very nice and welcoming. Thank you Dental Town! The office is clean and has a nice ambience. I have and will continue to refer people to Dental Town. read more

I moved to Lombard a few years ago and decided to find a local Dentist. I discovered Dental Town in Oak Brook Terrace and decided to give them a try and I can't tell you how happy I am with their service. They have a text alert that reminds me when my appointment is and they send me special offers that I can take advantage of. I HIGHLY recommend Dental Town and Dr. Karim. read more

BEWARE!! Never come here if you want a good smile. I had a beautiful smile and I needed a little bit of bonding touched up on one tooth. This was 3 years ago and to this day they refuse to fix what they horribly messed up. The younger dentist put bonding on my entire tooth that what 4 shades darker than my normal tooth color. At least 4 shades and he added bonding to the side on the tooth to make it wider. It's hideous. They refused to do anything about it and only refunded me partially for their mistake, not even half. I will never forgive them. I saw 3 other dentists and to fix this horrible doctor's mistake is gonna cost a whole lot of money for veneers to even out the color of my front teeth and reshape them to what they were before which i cannot afford. BEWARE - Dental Town Oakbrook just wants to take your money. Yesterday I made an appointment for next Tuesday, however I later realized that date won't work. Today I called to cancel that appointment and said I would call back to reschedule for a new date. They then informed me that they would keep the $100 deposit I had given them instead of refunding it to my credit card, and that all they could do was credit the $100 to my account. I am really upset about this. I am giving them 1 week's notice, yet Krista or Kristy, the office Manager, claims that they cannot refund my money because I am taking that spot from someone else (What?!?!) She also claimed she had checked with the office supervisor Samantha who confirmed this nonsense. In other words, I am being charged $100 for services not rendered and an appointment cancelled 1 week in advance. Initially, it was my intention to reschedule with them --after this, not anymore!
