I was excited when I got a response from the new business, teeth and things, asking to delete my review because I actually need a cleaning, and the review doesn't have my real name soooo I promptly called to make a new patient appointment so I can give this place an honest review, in real time. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. I have delta dental, she said that they can look the information up instead of trying to get the info from me. I needed an appointment at 5:30 or later, their last appt is at 5, so I had to take a Saturday appt. about 3 weeks away. After the interaction, I got a text confirming the appointment. I never authorized text so I would have preferred that she ask if text alerts are ok beforehand. My appointment was on a Saturday. They texted on Monday to confirm and Wednesday to confirm. I responded on Wednesday. I then received another text on Thursday to complete their new patient info. I filled that out. On the day of the appointment, I realized how much I disliked the area of the dentist because there was no parking. I parked in the village parking lot nearby though. I came in, she asked for my id and insurance and I was seen on time. The hygienist took X rays and brushed my teeth. No scrapping, no tools, she literally Just brushed my teeth and told me the doctor would be in. I've never had a cleaning so fast. That's usually the last step in the cleaning. When the dentist came in, he was very likable and he performed the cleaning with those scrapes and tools I was looking for. He was relatable and said his wife was one of the other dentist along with another associate. I like his demeanor and his professionalism and knowledge. The receptionist checked me out, she didn't give any paperwork regarding my visit. She asked me if I needed any appointments cards for my follow up visit. I declined. Overall it was a good visit. There was a couple things that I was used to that didn't happen, the ,222,333 when the dentist checks the spacing/bone loss didn't happen, the X-ray was handheld, typically the hygienist leaves the room and pushes a button. The order of the cleaning threw me off, typically the polish is last. It was just things that I'm used to that didn't happen. Doesn't mean they did a bad job, it was just different. read more

I was satisfied with my routine dental cleaning here. It was my first time at this dental clinic, and I was able to get an appt to check out my inflamed gum and get my cleaning done. Dr. Ahmed and the dental assistant were very nice and the cleaning was pain-free. I do wish some of the equipment like the X-ray machine could be updated and that the room I was in had more privacy. The chair faced out towards the front lobby and front desk; even a curtain would be nice. I received a goody bag afterwards with floss, a toothbrush, and mouthrinse, and left feeling like I would definitely continue my dental care here. read more

I'm sure a routine cleaning or basic services are fine. However, I got several cavities filled, two fell out within a year-that has never happened to me before. One of the cavities fell out just weeks after it was put in, and I was a told they normal would have me pay for it, but they would make an exception...Seriously? I got a crown put on a tooth-it was a terrible experience. The entire time, Dr. Ahmad was being super rude to the dental hygienist and it was really awkward...Also, it has never felt right since getting it nearly 2 years ago. I mentioned it was uncomfortable but it felt like she was ignoring how I felt. I have since changed dentists and the first thing the new dentist said was that the crown put on my tooth was too big, which is why it's difficult to floss and uncomfortable. Seriously, I would not recommend this place. There is constant turnover with the staff, bedside manner is not good, and actual treatment is less than standard. Dr. Benson move to TN and another dentist took over her practice. I thought I'd give her a shot but I was not happy with just my routine dental cleaning so it's doubtful I'll go back for any further dental work. I've never had any dentist shove sharp objects so far/hard into my gum line as she did. I was visibly wincing and several times pulled away. I told her that it was extremely painful and she didn't even ask if I was okay. My gums felt as if they'd been scrapped with sandpaper. All the positive reviews on here are because of Dr. Benson, who again, is no longer there. Also, scheduling here is a nightmare. If you don't work in the middle of the day you might be fine, but if you have a job, evenings and weekend time slots are so limited that you can expect to wait weeks / months to get an appointment. This place is just not a good fit for me any more. read more

I really have nothing more to add from what Erin said. My first visit was today, and happily Dr. Beeson is young, so she can be my dentist for a long time. Everyone was super nice, nothing hurt, and they even have pillows and blankets for your comfort. At the end of the visit I got an easy to read plan of action, with line items and actual prices (pay attention Central Dental). I know how much my crown will be out of pocket and from insurance, how long it will take to get, and most importantly, why I need a crown instead of a filling. They even offered quarters for the metered parking next to the building, but there is free street parking too. Thank you! read more

I had two other dentists in the area look at the tooth in question. One dentist looked at the tooth and talked to me for a few minutes for free. Another dentist charged me $35 for one x-ray and a ten minute consultation. Get the price up front!! read more

Dr. Beeson is one of the nicest people I know and a very talented dentist. Dr. Beeson and her staff are wonderful with adults AND KIDS. We have been patients for a long time and have loved it but had hesitated taking our kids because of a bad experience at another children's dentist in Hinsdale. Well, our kids did great and my son even said it "tickled" (yep, you read that right, "tickeled."). My daughter thought Dr. Beeson was Rapunzel which helped too. Another tip is to show the kiddos a video about the dentist on YouTube (there's one with a tooth describing a dental office visit). As always, you guys rocked it! Dont ever go here!!! Beware, I had a deep cleaning done by Dr. Kamra end ended up in the hospital for two days. I agree with the other review on here about this business being more about profit than the patients health. After my stay in the hospital, I was left with a high hospital bill and Dr. Kamra couldnt even "help" with $1!!! read more

Dr. Beeson and the staff at Platinum Dental Care is WONDERFUL. From the moment I walked in the door, everyone was SO friendly! I HATE going to the dentist but Dr. Beeson went really out of her way to make sure I felt at ease. She really took the time to explain everything to me and to make sure that I understood what she was doing. I also had a bit of a "minor" crisis where a cap on on one of my front teeth had stained. I was VERY self-conscious about it and was getting married in a week. Instead of having me come back for another appointment (which I would not have been able to to before my wedding), Dr. Beeson took extra time to work on the cap and made it look great and never once made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Another thing I really liked is that, after putting together my "treatment plan", they provided me with a complete breakdown of my out-of-pocket costs and let me decide what treatments to have and when. There was no pressure to do ANYTHING (even fill my cavities). It was really nice to know what everything was going to cost up front. I definitely recommend Platinum dental. Going to the dentist isn't fun, but these guys really go out of their way to try to make it as easy as possible. read more

On Wednesday, January 26, 2021, I called them because: 1) my lower left jaw was excruciating; 2) I live in Forest Park; and, 3) I am disabled (using a mobility scooter and I can walk about 20 steps). I was informed I could be seen at 11:10am. I was asked about insurance. They were not equipped to deal with Medicaid, and I assured them I could pay out of pocket. Followed by a discussion of the space limitations. My mobility scooter while taller than most, is the same length and width of a normal mobility scooter. I offered to leave it in the lobby. Told no. Offered to leave it outside and locked. Told no. Was put on hold. The person came back and told they could not accommodate me and scooter. I offered to take a cab. Was told no with a repeat of inability to accommodate me. Besides being a violation of the ADA, being a dentist, and me offering accommodations to THEM, they wanted no part of me. They hung up. I ended up in the ER at 2pm and was released at 6pm, being diagnosed with an infected tooth and abscess. The violation of the ADA notwithstanding, perhaps it was mentioning I was on Medicaid I was denied medical service? If you are disabled, on Medicaid, and/or use a mobility device, don't go here. read more

I went today and was again welcomed to the office and given excellent care. Dr. Beeson is young and energetic and understood my concerns. Sully, the dental assistant, was very kind and informative. They have updated equipment that made the cleaning easier! I probably would have kept going to this dentist (Beeson) despite her average skills because of the convenient location close to my home, but I was very disappointed after canceling an appointment. Beware late cancellation fees. I attempted to cancel a Tuesday appointment the Friday before. The office was closed but I left a message. On Monday I called to confirm that my message was received but it had not been so I rescheduled the Tuesday appointment. When I arrived for my new appointment I was billed $25 for canceling the previous one within 24 h. I attempted to explain that I had left a message and since I was getting nowhere with the receptionist I requested to speak with the Dentist. She never attempted to talk to me but rather sent the same receptionist back. Despite being billed over $1000 in the previous 6 months, she preferred to lose me as a client rather than discard the fee. I didn't want her making a single penny more off me so I left without being seen. I was surprised to find a bill for $50 the next day waiting for me in the mailbox (they must have sent it that same night). Even more surprising, it said I was 60 days past due and made references to collections. I ended up paying the bill but needless to say, I will no longer be going back. It is clear that for her, a few dollars is more important than establishing a long term relationship and that for me that is a red flag. read more

Loved Dr. Beeson, and Dr. Ahmed is a fine substitute. As others have observed, a bit aggressive with the instruments around the gums, but she responded immediately and effectively to my wincing. I think she's growing into this office's community quite nicely, and I look forward to seeing her every six months for my cleaning. The new doctor is wonderful! All the staff are so nice and professional. It is a small area and wish they had doors so we don't have to hear all the instruments but it is so welcoming. She does a great job and makes sure you are not in any pain. Overall such a nice place and will be my dentist while I live in Forest Park. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! Dr. Beenson has moved out of state and now, there is a new dentist here, and needless to say I do not recommend her services. How to describe Platinum Dental???...INCOMPETENT, RUDE, AND POSSIBLE CROOKS! I REGRET EVER ALLOWING AHMED AND HER STAFF IN MY MOUTH! 1. Incompetency...I made an appointment to get my cavities filled in with her, and have had mouth issues ever since. My mouth was numb after the initial fillings so it wasn't until the 2nd day or so I noticed my bite was off and there was something sticking out from my tooth. The filling came out!!! I went back to have it replaced, and the fillings filed down. I was "ok" about it, mistakes happen. It fell out again (2nd time) I went back, it was filled in again. And here's incompetency at it's best, days later it fell out again!!!!!! My entire mouth at this point was feeling really sensitive and much more uncomfortable than it has ever felt after leaving a dentist's office. I went back complaining, and this woman did the filling again ...only for in another 3 MONTHS the same tooth AND another one's filling to fall out. Now, I have these giant holes in my teeth that were never there before. To be honest, after my entire experience with Ahmed, I wouldn't be surprised if those teeth were ok, and she lied about me needing a filling in the first place! Now I have to look for a new dentist. I will not be back, we all know what they say: "fool me once...." and I refuse to go back and be maimed again. 2. Rudeness... When I first came in and forked over $1000 for my teeth service she and her staff were so kind. That kindness didn't last long. Around my second visit to get my filling replaced they were showing some type of annoyance with me, that really turned me off and was grating on my nerves. During my third visit, I was especially P.O'd, I had paid A LOT of money, and when I called them out for subpar performance, AHMED had the nerve to tell me she did me a favor by filling in my cavities?!?!? W.T.F A $1,000 bill is not a favor sweetie, you got paid, and for a crappy job at that. This really ticked me off, there are a lot of dentists in the Forest Park, Oak Park, Oak Brook, Westchester area, many of them would have done the same job--and better. Her assistant Somi,Sunie, or whatever, was equally rude and tried defending Ahmed's crappy service by saying and I quote: "she's a conservative dentist and your cavities were large, but instead of doing a root canal she choose the less invasive way--a filling." I honestly think she was saying that to cover their own butts, BUT ALSO if I needed a root canal I needed a root canal, she should have discussed that with me, if that was the case, because I would have chosen a root canal instead of the mess going on in my mouth now. I wanted a partial refund but they refused saying she did the service and was willing to repair it. Like I'd go back though. 3. Possible Crooks...this is where it really burns my f^(&ing blood. They over billed me and my insurance. They owed me something slightly under $500, and THE ONLY REASON I FOUND OUT WAS BECAUSE I LOOKED AT MY INSURANCE INVOICE. I confronted these crooks and Sunie/whatever had the gall to say some crap like well we actually charge blah,blah,blah and your insurance does blah,blah. Then she said I had two insurances on file so blah,blah,blah. I had to tell this chick, I will let my insurance company handle this in court if you don't want to now...then she changed her tune saying they actually had it as a credit on my account. R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S, I made it clear before I even knew that I was being robbed in this scheme that I had no intention of going back and neither will my family. YET AND STILL you gave me this useless credit for your useless service? THEY DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME ABOUT A CREDIT. What a shady way of doing business. I did get a refund check, but if I had never noticed I was over billed, PLATINUM DENTAL would have pocketed MY ~$500. TL;DR: Messed my teeth up,rude, and tried to keep my money illegally/immorally. read more

I have to say Dr. Beeson is the best dentist I have ever seen. It had been a while since my last appointment with a dentist (about 2 years) because the one I used to go to would only work one Saturday a month and closed at like 3 and who wants to take a whole day off of work to go to a dentist appointment?!? The hours of Dr. Beeson are sooo flexible it was easy and simple to make an appointment. Well part of staying away from the dentist is that i had a few cavities show up and she was sooo great and talking me where the issues were and what to do to try and fix this in the future. And when I went for my first filling it was smooth and virtually painless. They numbed me really good before giving me Novocaine so i only felt about 4 seconds of pinch. And they were great at giving me enough to last the whole appointment and then some. I would 100% recommend Dr. Beeson she is so knowledgeable and friendly she made the experience very relaxing. :) read more

Dr. Beeson was amazing! I'm a super busy grad student, and she was able to squeeze me in as a new pt a week or so ago when needed to make an appt for a toothache. She's also very knowledgable and even went through my xrays with me on her computer. As long as I am in the area, she will be the only dentist I ever go to. I love this dental office! I hate going to the dentist, and have had anxiety about it for years and this office always makes me so comfortable I no longer have anxiety.
