My husband and I have been extremely pleased with the professional services and excellent dental care we have received over the years. The staff is very friendly as they easily aim to accommodate each patient with professionalism assisting with their dental needs. We have been to other dental practices in the local area, only to be disappointed with false claims of procedures NOT needed. In the world we live in, it's difficult to find a trustworthy dentist. This group demonstrates horrible billing practices. I was a patient for years. I never left a bill unpaid, even when their estimate was off. I made arrangements this last time when their estimate was a fraction of reality. I was in frequent contact with the Office Manager. I was making my payments. Their AR and collections team hounded me constantly and did send me to collections. At this time, I have one payment left of about $80. Buyer beware. read more

I completely regret coming here and would never recommend this dentist to anyone. I visited on 9/3/20204. They tried to sell me on getting a night guard I didn't need (they saw where I had one chipped tooth repaired and used that as evidence to say that I was grinding my teeth at night). They tried to say that I "might", "maybe", "possibly", "could", etc. have a crack on one of my teeth without having clear evidence (and of course I had no issues with my tooth) and then wanted me to quickly schedule a crown on it. They stopped my inspection so that they could get a written quote into my hands ASAP. They tried to get me to get bogus "laser germ removal" for my gums when they were tender from me not flossing regularly. Lastly, they didn't check with my insurance and then took x-rays that weren't covered and passed the bill onto me, even though we told them we only wanted a cleaning/checkup like what is normally covered. They didn't ask me when my last full panel was done, they didn't ask if I could get my x-rays from my previous dentist, they didn't check with insurance, they just took everything all over again so that they could charge someone. On top of that, they didn't even clean my son's teeth! We came for cleanings and checkups and they didn't even do one of the things we were here for. Overall, it feels like a complete scam and like meeting up with salesmen instead of dental professionals. It seemed like they only cared about getting as much money as they could from us instead of acting like a normal dentist should. My wife suggested going here after reading some of the positive reviews on Google. I really wish we would have read the negative reviews on Google, or seen the terrible 2.9/5 rating they have on Yelp, or the "F" rating they have on the BBB site and seeing that they aren't BBB accredited after having so many issues. Going here was a mistake. I thought this would be a simple, free visit like every other dentist visit I've gone to but ended up with constant up-selling during my 2.5 hour (!) appointment and them sending me a bill afterwards. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and of course they never responded. They certainly deserve their non-accredited "F" rating on the BBB site. read more

As far as dentist, Dr Borole is a fine dentist. However the front receptionist (Rose) has to be the rudest person I have Ever met! I tried to make a appointment back in October to be told BY ROSE that the good Dr wouldn't be in for a very long time. Then tried to make another at the end of this year for today. Again, I spoke to Rose with her making that appointment. She was the person who "made the appointment!" Today I walk in, sitting behind the counter is Ms Rose. She looks at me asking, may I help you? Clearly she didn't ever make the appointment. I have been dealing with Rose now ever since my first visit several years ago. They had a different office manager when I first went (ended up complaining about Rose shortly after my first visit). They have a new office manager now, which I haven't met, with Rose being here ugly self once again! read more

Will charge you for a deep cleaning that insurance does not cover and refuse to do a regular cleaning that insurance covers. Also will charge you 150 For a mouth guard then bill you 150 for same mouthguard. Went to another dentist that said I don't need a deep cleaning. Do NOT take a child to this office. The scheduling person will tell you that they take patients of all ages and they can treat 4 year olds, but they DO NOT have the right size equipment to do so. They are NOT a pediatric dentistry. They will do x-rays and charge you for an exam and the x-rays knowing full well that they are not equipped to treat your child. Meanwhile, my child is still in pain. They wasted our time and money. Everyone in the office was very nice but the scheduling lady should not be telling people they can treat all patients and to "trust the process" when she knows there they aren't equipped. STOP LYING! YOU ALL DID NOT RETAIN ME AS A CUSTOMER. I LEFT THESE RACISTS! Monday I called to make an appointment ASAP as instructed by the ER doctor through my Discharge papers after receiving Magic mouth rinse for my blisters on my tongue and lip due to loose wires from my braces. KACEY told me the soonest I could get in was Friday because the doctor was out and none of the assistants could help me without the doctor present. I told her that's impossible because of the blisters in my mouth, I can't talk, I lost 1 pound from not eating for a week, and if I had waited any longer my gums would be infected. I begged her to at least call someone to get me in sooner and she wouldn't do that. Instead she offered me wax for my wires and Clinton Highway Dentalwork location knowing that they don't even cater to braces. Clinton Highway location offered me Dentalworks phone number in Alcoa and the lady in Alcoa put me on hold and got me an appointment as soon as Wed with an Orthodontist. KACEY didn't even ask me for my name nor information and she was very rude and aggressive with approach after I pleaded with her to help me. So after securing the appointment in Alcoa I drove up to the Turkey Creek location to retrieve the wax that was offered to me from her before our call ended so it could hold me over til my Wed appointment. I am literally on duty, A Black woman with my entire US Army uniform on, softly knocking on the door, not posing a threat, crying on the phone with my grandmother because of the pain, and I just needed a relief. KACEY must have realized that I was the woman she was rude to over the phone, putting my face with the voice, got scared as if I was going to hurt her or something, and hide her face with her hand on her forehead behind the computer while on the phone completely ignoring me. The door was locked and there was a sign saying the practice was closed. Had she told me that over the phone our entire conversation could have went different but her communication was horrible. She just said no one was able to help me. She never said they weren't actually present. So I stood there about 5 minutes calmly waiting because she said she would offer me wax. She literally didn't even look my way. I got upset and said to my grandmother, who allows me to drop some F bombs when I'm angry, "Ain't this a b*tch, she won't even open the door." After waiting the 5 minutes I turned around upset and walked off to my car. So I called back to schedule a follow up appointment Friday and told her I'm Latifah Scurlock and you all will hear from Tri-Care because I have to go back to the ER for them to fix a wire that you all messed up and I don't think it's fair for us to pay another bill. She said I called her a B*tch, I was angry, and that she couldn't open the door for me without the police. I told her that was a lie because I didn't get upset until AFTER she didn't open the door and I was on the phone with my grandmother the entire time NEVER uttering a word to her. I also can't legally pose a threat if I am walking away to my car. I would have waited for the police to arrive with documentation of a $4,600 balance for braces. They assured me that if I ever had problems with them I could seek help. Police do not scare me whatsoever so threatening me only made me angrier. She hung up on me immediately afterwards. I will never do business with this company again. I refuse to wear this Army uniform while protecting people like her in our country and STILL be profiled and criminalized. If anybody has to make sure police are present for me to receive wax that was offered to me in the first place then I don't need to be there. I've been going to this location for 3 years. They know me by name and face cause I always come in with a positive, kind, and jolly attitude. KACEY needs to be fired before things escalate beyond the practice due to her attitude. Please, please consider other options. Your wallet and teeth will thank you. I never thought I would be passionate about a dental office. However, my experience at DentalWorks has changed my views. I have excellent dental insurance, yet I still ended up paying $75 for services I didn't need or particularly want (oral cancer screening? fluoride as an adult? what about getting a "dental screening and treatment plan" instead of the dental cleaning I had scheduled?). They wasted my time and money. Finally, they tried to convince me I needed restorative work that two other dentists have since said were bogus. They gave me a treatment plan detailing over $4,000 in dental work that was unneeded. They wanted to replace all my fillings with new ones and then place crowns on most of my molars. After two other dentists looked at it, they said I needed a single crown, which cost about $600 ($300 after insurance). read more

My wife went here and had a bad experience. Her first appointment was for a cleaning. They did Xrays and told her to come back for the cleaning. -- what a waste of time. then she had an issue with a tooth by the time it was over -- she ended up with two crowns and 6 weeks worth of antibiotics. Now, the office can't be blamed for all of that but the lack of management from the provider can. We spent over $2400 for two crowns - which after speaking with another dentist office in the area is "above the average". She is not going back and we're both now looking for a dentist. read more

Her rates are very good, our family has experienced a lot of dental work, from crowns to implants. Just reading the previous reviews I see I wasn't the only one whom they tried to take advantage of. Just like everyone else, I was given an insane amount of x-rays, gum poking, and general discomfort all for the doctor to show up and tell me I would not be getting a f**king cleaning and I need a special cleaning that costs several thousands of dollars. I went to another doctor for a second opinion about my "peridontal (gum) disease" and I was given a completely normal bill of health and a cleaning. I wasted my yearly checkup that is covered by insurance on these people and had to pay out of pocket to see another dentist. Avoid this dentist at ALL costs. My husband and I have been going there for a couple of years. Always felt it was okay not great but it was convenient. It is more like an assembly line, no privacy. Experience has been okay, cleaning a little rough sometimes. Always try to pressure you in to buying something. Our last experience had us calling about bill we received when our EOB showed it paid for cleaning at 100%. Upon further research discovered we had been charged before when everything was paid. They will bill you hoping you don't pay attention to your EOB from your insurance. They did refund the money but I will never go there again. read more

Like other people who have left negative reviews as well. I had a VERY similar experience. It was my first time here, but I was due for a 6month cleaning. They said the visit would take up to 1 1/2 - 2 hours long. I didn't think anything of it for being a new patient but it still didn't sit right with me. So they already had my x rays from my previous dentist but they "needed to do more". And the camera hurt my gums and my teeth the way they were placing it and in abnormal positions. More than 10 shots... anyways afterwards this lady who is one of those fake nice ppl does an examination. Saying my teeth were bleeding. I said it's because you all stuck that camera in my mouth and it caused it. Complete bs saying my gums and teeth needed deep cleaning. So i ask once I do the deep cleaning will I be able to get Invisalign and they said yes. Numerous red flags the whole time. Then they take me into this office room where they quote how much it will be without insurance. At this point I'm furious because they won't even give me my regular exam because "they have to do this". Never have I ever had any cavity or any issues before. The whole experience is like a timeshare one. And it took 2 hours so I walk away without my cleaning. But I for sure called my insurance company to let them know about this situation. The staff is very friendly the did a work up of what needed to be done and gave options on a treatment plan.They listen to what a said and when i told them to fill the minor cavity's first thats just what they did.I had other dentist that would push for the most expensive treatment first.So finding one that was listing to me is very important. read more

Came back after 2 crowns to advise them of continued discomfort which they dismissed. This dental office is a scam. I went in with dental insurance to talk about some cosmetic dental work. When they found out that I had dental insurance, they performed x-rays on every tooth in my mouth and did a ridiculous exam poking my gums. They refused to clean my teeth because they said I needed a scaling procedure. Finally I got to see the dentist. They billed my insurance for all of the exam, so I had to pay out of pocket to see a real dentist. The other dentist said I did not need a scaling. The dentist at DentalWorks was far from pleasant. My recommendation is to stay clear of this place! read more

Do work you don't need and still charge you upfront even when you have two not one but two dental insurances. Then when you try to get a refund they never give you your full refund, Has happened twice now. Also if you value your time, forget this place. They have no value on time. My husband and I had several appts where we actually had to tell them we may have to come back because we had waited so long and then they gave me a first patient morning appt for a crown and the dentist was still 30 minutes late. I'm surprised by the bad reviews. I was very happy with how thorough the exam was (seeing as I hadn't been to the dentist in four years due to lack of dental insurance). I was explained everything that was going to take place, and any extras. They also do molds and whitening for free! I had a couple small fillings filled and Dr. Borole was fantastic with numbing. Dr. Borole and her staff are fantastic!! I always wanted Invisalign to straighten my teeth but was nervous and worried about cost. Dr. Borole reassured me and gave me a very fair price comparatively and now 1 1/2 years later, my teeth are beautiful!! I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes and have never been "pushed" to get services that I didn't need.
