I'm a big wimp when it comes to dentists. So for years, I've avoided them as much as possible. I recently decided that this had to end. So today, I went to DentalWorks for a cleaning and check-up. Amazing. I was a little leery of going to a dental "chain," but I'm glad I chose this location. The hygienist, dentist and staff were all professional and kind. They took me on time and were patient as I gagged during X-rays (did I mention I'm a wimp?). The whole experience was painless. I definitely recommend them. A special thank you to the exceptionally patient and kind dental hygienist, who somehow managed to be gentle while sandblasting the coffee stains off my teeth - even when she had to drag out the heavy machinery. The fact that I didn't run away screaming like a little girl is a true Christmas miracle. Thanks for giving me my smile back! read more

My last review wasn't formed correctly. The first time I went to Dental Works I got a teeth cleaning and I mentioned to the hygienist that I could feel my wisdom tooth ( on the left side) coming out ( almost like bursting) she looked and saw it and said she'd get the dentist to come look at it. I brush my teeth 3 times a day. So the cleaning was less than 10 minutes. When she was done cleaning I waited. No one came into the room so I left. That's where it all began. I also saw a help wanted sign on the door and they need help. Please find a reliable dentist office that actually cares. read more

This business owes me $200. Even after six months, with empty promises and never a callback, they have not refunded me. Never in my life have I encountered such a business. Unprofessional and dishonest. The dentist was initially great. The staff I encountered were very friendly. Things started to go south after my 3rd or 4th visit. I was told I needed a root canal. As someone who'd never had a root canal, I wasn't aware the crown might affect my retainer, or I would've brought my retainer to the dentist. My crown was larger than my original tooth, so my retainer didn't fit anymore. I was scheduled, even though the doctor was off. I asked if my crown could be shaved a bit like my other teeth. I was told nothing could be done. As a patient who wanted more info from experts, I politely asked why not, as I always do when going to doctors or getting professional services, and I would accept explanations. Someone came; her name was April. It was a joke. The conversation went like this: She: We can not do that.  Me: Can you explain why you can not? She: I already told you, which is we can't. Me: All right, but why not? I thought a fine adjustment could be done. I just wanted to know.  She: The doctor won't do it.  Me: Any potential reasons the doctor will not adjust it? Was it because of A, B, or C (a few reasons I could think of)? She: I already told you the reasons. The doctor won't agree. Me: You have not told me; that's not a reason.  She: I already told you. You think you know better than the doctor?!! Me: entirely speechless. I figured out she didn't know the answer, so she got irritated as I asked. Why didn't she just be honest and refer me to someone who truly knows instead of throwing "You think you know better than the doctor?!!" at a patient who wanted to learn? Later, I asked if my retainer could be adjusted to fit since my crown could not. In subsequent appointments, an orthodontist said he couldn't adjust my retainer. $400 for a new retainer, while my original from another orthodontist a year ago was $250. I sensed the business wanted to profit, but it's okay. A retainer is essential, so I will take it if it's convenient and get things done without seeing more dentists. After learning the new retainer could be available in two weeks, I agreed and quickly paid. I would gladly accept it if the retainer worked.  It turned out it didn't fit, and a replacement wouldn't arrive in time. I had to wear a retainer every night to prevent teeth shifting, so I wouldn't risk it. I requested the order be canceled. April, the only person who handled billing, said they would need to pay $200 lab fees, but she would process the remaining $200 refund. I spent $400 for nothing, but a $200 refund worked for me. While waiting for the refund, I went to my old orthodontist, who adjusted my retainer, which took less than 15 minutes. To my surprise, I didn't even need a new retainer. The adjusted retainer worked perfectly. I understood refunds take time, 4-6 weeks, so I waited patiently. Believing their words, I checked my card statements from time to time, each time thinking I might see the refund. It turned out that every time, there was nothing. Over the past six months, I called this dentist over and over again, a total of 15-20 times. Each time, I believed their various reasons, hoping for a resolution: they've done it, they will do it, or they will give me a callback.  They never. The probability that they will call you back when they say they will is 0%. Like a Scam. I stopped believing they would give me a callback. I realized they always seemed to pretend to ask and write down my phone number. I've had enough. I'm tired of logging into my account to see nothing, and I'm tired of calling them. So I decided to write this review.  Liar. Give me my money back. As a business, keep your word.  Is $200 a big deal for you? Let your patients keep waiting and calling, feeding them lies. And you still can't resolve the issue after six months. What kind of practice is that? Avoid this place! Terrible. read more

My previous dentist let us know they were dropping our dental insurance. DentalWorks was able to schedule me very quickly that was very positive for me. The office is very clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They did a thorough job explaining to me what they were doing from x-rays to cleaning. They are upfront about the costs of services prior to scheduling additional services. I also loved that they scheduled my 6 month appointment before I left. I've been waiting almost a year for them to process a refund for orthodontics treatment that my son ended up not receiving. I paid in full up front, and my family ended up moving out of state shortly after. They still can't give me any idea of how much my refund will be or when I'll receive it. The reason I'm given is that they were bought out by another company in June and their assets were frozen (never mind that I told them we needed to transfer services in *February*, four months before that happened). At least a dozen times, I've called to ask about this, and I'm told that they'll take my name and number and have someone call me back. They never do. Meanwhile, I've had to open a credit account to pay for my son's treatment at the new clinic. read more

Love, Love, Love this dental group. I went here for the first time years ago as an emergency visit when my then regular dentist couldn't take me - and I've never left. Dr. Gomez is wonderful, she's continually offered great care in a non-stressful environment. The whole staff is very professional and welcoming, they make going to the dentist not so scary. They are also very flexible - if you call with a problem, that will make sure to get in you in as soon as they can so it can get taken care of. They have evening and Saturday hours as well. I avoided having dental work done for so long due to bad experiences in the past, that I came to Dentalworks a few years ago in need of a lot of work. Initially I saw Dr. Gomez, and she was able to do the work I needed to not be in pain without pushing other treatment that would have cost too much given my insurance at the time. When I was in a position to have more work done, I began a long term plan of action to fix all of the existing problems with my teeth, and am about half-way though. I have mostly worked with Dr. Ibrahim during recent visits, and he is just as friendly and capable as Dr. Gomez. This is the longest I've ever stuck with a single dental practice, and even after moving an hour away, I have made all of my appointments here and will continue to do so. read more

The management for this company does not know what they are doing. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I canceled my appointment online through an email that was sent to me. Then I received a $25.00 no show charge. I sent them another email asking someone to call and discuss this matter with me, or I would not be returning to their dental office. I got no phone call. I called and spoke with the manager April, and she apologized and said that they are using a new company and there may have been a mix up. This was back in July 2016. She said she would get to the bottom of it and eliminate the 25 dollar fee. Today September 27, 2016, I just received ANOTHER $25.00 missed appointment fee. I called to discuss this with management again, and they were in a meeting, so unavailable to discuss this issue again... I paid the fee, I do not need to be bothered by this nonsense anymore. I will not be returning to that facility, not because of the dental hygienists and dentists. Who are great. I actually love the staff that does the dental work. But in this day in age, where you have so many choices for a dental office, I think it is very crucial, to follow up with what you tell your customers. And when something falls through the cracks multiple times then it all points to poor management skills or just plain laziness. read more
