They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and fully understood every procedure and treatment option available to me. The staff took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything clearly. If a service was not available in their office, they provided referrals to help me continue my dental care without delay. I only wish Dr. Yung could provide all of my dental needs. I drove two and a half hours for this appointment, and it was absolutely worth every mile. The exceptional care, professionalism, and dedication of Dr. Yung and his team made the trip worthwhile. I highly recommend their practice to anyone seeking outstanding dental care.

If only smiling and being concerned with patient, comfort made a good dentist. My first and only…read morevisit to this dentist consisted of a dental cleaning by the doctor that took less than 10 minutes. No cancer screening examination. Clinical hygiene issues that left me very concerned that I could get an infection from the visit. The dentist did not practice any form of hand hygiene. He simply changed his outer pair of latex gloves for new ones. He was wearing filthy surgical scrubs that he'd clearly been wearing all day long. Some of the dental instruments were severely scratched and worn. I did not ask about an autoclave or sterilization procedures, but I know from my experience working in a hospital that any instrument that scratched should be discarded immediately. You also have to change all of your PPE completely between patients after you wash your hands, even if wearing gloves. Safety concerns, quality of care and antiquated equipment all combine to eliminate this practice from future consideration for me.

I was dropped as a client, I never received any bottom dental implants, no bone graft. They removed 7 teeth- charged me for 13. I have called a lawyer, filed complaints with dental board. They took all that money, and THE INLY THING THAT WAS DONE , was 7 teeth removed. And they have refused to give me a penny back, though they did not comply with their care plan. This is routine procedure for Aspen Dental. Especially the Lexington office. There's multiple class action lawsuits, so if you too are a victim of unscrupulous business practices, high-pressure sales, pushing for the upgrade always changing dates , changing prices, and charging you for things they DON'T NEED TO DO, or HAVEN'T DONE. I find it APPALLING THAT they have a history of doing this to their patients and getting away with ruining your credit, have no dentures. Can't afford them. Aspen dental thinks they deserve 23,000$ for PULLING 7 teeth. No other dentist charges that much. And no other dentist has 1 star on 90% of their reviews. Close this unscrupulous fraudulent company DOWN.

Being new to the area and South Carolina, my family was in need of a new dentist's office. I found…read moreGildner Family Dentistry of Lexington and loved the highly rated reviews, so I made appointments for the whole family. When I called the office to make appointments, I tried to get all three of us (my husband, son, and myself) scheduled at times near each other so that we can continue being seen bi-annually around the same time. The receptionist was unable to book the three of us at similar times for many months. My son had been experiencing some tooth pain, so I opted to have his appointment scheduled sooner while my husband and I took appointments at a later date. They were not able to schedule any of us on the same day. My son (6 years old) was seen. After he was seen, I was informed that the dentist thinks he may have a cavity that was causing pain, but that they couldn't verify this because they were unable to take x-rays on him. They didn't have the correct equipment (a smaller x-ray sensor that would fit in his mouth) to perform x-rays. They referred him to a pediatric dentist that doesn't accept insurance. Because the office performed a cleaning, multiple pediatric dentist offices would not see my son as they require that a cleaning be done for all new patients. Eventually I was able to find an office that would accept him as a new patient and had him taken care of. I wish I had known that they wouldn't be able to do x-rays on a child before they performed the rest of the services, as I would have instead taken him to a dentist that was better equipped to see smaller children in the first place. My husband and I both had appointments scheduled, but not together. The best the office could do was to see my husband on Wednesday and myself the next day, Thursday. The office contacted me the Tuesday before my appointment to tell me that the dentist had another appointment and needed to reschedule mine. The receptionist was trying to reschedule mine for more than a month away, which I balked at because again, I wanted to keep our appointments around the same time. After spending about 5 minutes on the phone trying to find a time that would work for us both, my husband sent me a text message to let me know that someone from Gildner Family Dentistry had called him to reschedule but that he was working and wasn't able to take the call. I told this to the receptionist and she said that she was mistaken, it wasn't my appointment that needed to be rescheduled (even though we had just spent at least 5 minutes trying to find an appointment for ME). She mistakenly told me that my appointment needed to be rescheduled when it was my husband's on a different day. She rescheduled his appointment for the following day, Thursday, to be immediately following my appointment. My husband made arrangements with his employer and changed meeting times with his work to accommodate their needed change. The morning of our appointments, the office called to let us know that they would need to again reschedule because the hygienist that we were to see was now unavailable. We're now looking to schedule appointments with another practice, but are now past our bi-annual cleaning date. We'll only be able to get one cleaning done this year because of the disorganization of this office. I found my interactions with this office to be extremely frustrating and unprofessional. While the office brands itself as a "family" dentist practice, it's unequipped to treat all me members of the family. The office staff are unorganized. Multiple rescheduled appointments cause more headache than it's worth. My family will seek treatment at another office. I did find the hygienist that treated my son to be very friendly. The dentist had good bedside manner and seemed knowledgeable. I did like the personalities of the staff, but can't look past the frustrating issues that we've encountered and feel that my family would be better off being treated by a different practice. I would not recommend this practice.
