Dr. Achache and his staff were extremely professional, friendly and super accommodating and make the whole experience very relaxing for me. The receptionist is positively fabulous. She has a positive attitude, always greets me with a smile, and is a whiz with insurance processing. Dr. Kassis is an excellent dentist--she is frank and understanding. She is genuinely concerned about her patients' well being and is very professional. I found that Dr. Kassis and her team of dental assistants and hygienists to be knowledgeable, understanding, and gentle with all those annoying poking tools. I did not feel rushed; if I needed a break to rest my mouth they were happy to accommodate. What's really great about the staff at Dr. Kassis' office is they always know who you are and make you feel welcome. Plus I always leave with free floss, mini toothpaste, and a toothbrush--who doesn't love free stuff!

Everyone in the office is so friendly yet professional, and they all seem to legitimately love their job. So my regular dentist is actually in Toronto (my hometown) even though I moved away over a decade ago. I still made my twice a year trip to see him, because my whole family and I have been seeing him since I was a child, and he is great. However, sometimes emergencies happen and you need to see a dentist in a more timely manner than is possible with a dentist in a different city. This is how I met Dr. Dan. A while back (pre-pandemic) I was struck in the face during one of my martial arts classes (my reaction time was a bit too slow, I guess) and immediately had pain in one of my teeth. There was no bleeding and it didn't seem loose, but I wanted to see a dentist ASAP. Dr. Dan is actually my husband's dentist, so he e-mailed Dr Dan, since it was after hours, explaining the situation. Dr. Dan responded almost immediately, suggesting that I take some Ibuprofen to minimize inflammation and his office will call me in the morning with an appointment time. As promised, Shane called me in the morning and I saw Dr. Dan later that afternoon. Dr. Dan was excellent, explaining everything he was doing along the way. He was even sympathetic to my situation, lol. He examined me and determined that I had no permanent damage to my tooth. Never did he pressure me to become one of his regular patients, and he was very understanding as to why I still trekked to Toronto to see my dentist. He said he was happy to be there for me for emergencies. I ended up also getting a customized mouth guard through Dr. Dan after the incident. The price was very reasonable and the fit is so much better than those generic "boil and bite" ones that you get at sports stores. I was seen by the dental hygienists for the mouth guard and they were great too. Fast forward to one year into the Covid-19 Pandemic (and 13 months since my last dental cleaning), it didn't make sense to travel to Toronto for a dental appointment, so I called Westboro Dental Station. Dr. Dan wasn't available, but Dr. Emma Wong was, so I became one of her patients. She was also great. Very thorough and patient. As much as I like my dentist in Toronto, the convenience of being able to walk to my dental appointments can't be beat. I'm hoping my Toronto dentist understands. Westboro Dental Station is, you guessed it, in Westboro, so the parking situation is not great. There is street parking if you can find it or a paid parking lot nearby. Luckily for me, I don't need to worry about parking.

I settled on Westboro Station Dental after doing some research and finding very good reviews about the clinic and Dr. Dan. I went in as a new patient and Dr. Dan and his staff did a great job. They did a thorough examination and Dr. Dan also took the time to explain and show me exactly the state of my teeth and what needed to be done to correct some sensitivity I was having with one tooth. I also had a cleaning during this initial visit and was very pleased: very thorough and no discomfort. Definitely recommended.

I'll start with a little info about me, I hate going to the dentist and avoided going at all costs, in fact I hadn't been in over 7 years, continually putting it off for fear of being judged! I guess you could call me a dental delinquent! Thanks to some not so gentle encouragement from my fiancee I finally agreed to go to her dentist after she explained how non-judgy they are here and she was 100% correct! I have seen both Dr. Bhargava and Dr. Telang here and they are both incredibly friendly (and non-judgmental) about your teeth! Dr. Telang explained in great detail all of the stats she was discussing with the hygenist as well as explaining in easy terms what you need to do. The hygenists here are also very friendly and gentle, despite needing to use many of the little hooks I had very little discomfort or pain! One final bonus is that they will deal directly with insurance if you have it, eliminating the hassle of having to deal with insurance companies yourself!

A big thank you to Dr. Carys for refusing to settle for "good enough" and recommending a custom colour appointment to get the crown colour exactly right. Yesterday, though, i had an especially positive experience. I was there for a fairly significant procedure, but before starting, the dentist, Dr. Abdullah Abdul, re-examined the tooth in question and reviewed with me its condition, concluding with asking me if I wanted to carry on with the procedure. In our discussion he was very open to say that, although it is at risk, the tooth currently is in good shape and could never require the procedure. This gave me the opportunity to weigh whether I wanted to move forward and I decided not to. He was quite fine with my decision. I found it very positive that he checked with me again before proceeding with the procedure, even though it meant a loss of income for him and the practice and, likely, a gap in his billing time.
