The clothes in Jack Wills are extremely high quality and always seem to fit any shape really well, you do have to have a bit of money if you intend on shopping here. Terrible move removing the tills and replacing with self check outs…read more The queue was so long for the till that was open as you can not take returns to self check out. the one staff member on the tills who served me was super miserable . ( low staff moral I'm guessing). Then to find the exit entrance at the back of the store has now closed permanently due to store theft.. idea... put a security guard on the exit entrance. this is extremely concerning from a health and safety perspective as a emergency exit, everyone running for the stairs in a fire of a building of that size is dangerous. do better primark!

I thought I was cured when all Bristol had to offer was the worst of the worst Primark's, with their poor selection and disorganised layout. But then they opened a super-store sized outlet and I just couldn't resist. I'm not saying it's the best one I've been to, and I've been to MANY, but I've never come out empty handed. My favourite thing about the brand new shiny Primark is their range of accessories which take up almost a third of the ground floor. Their underwear department is a bit lacking, but their sparkly dresses and cheap hosiery more than make up for it. The queues are still long, and you need a patient of a saint to trawl through the rails, but compared to most Primark stores this one is well managed and easy to navigate.

When I buy something from All Saints, I know I'm paying for quality and sustainability. And there's no denying that what Bristol's store offers isn't well made and will last for years. But if you're looking for something unique and beautiful, I'd pop across the road to Urban Outfitters who offer a wider range and better value for money.

You can also pick up coffee table books and cooler-than-thou CDs and vinyl making it a browsable shop of high proportions. Downstairs is where I tend to head (being a girl, and that being where the girl's department is) where you'll find their household accessories, women's fashions, books and cameras. They also stock a wonderful range of birthday card and wrapping paper which are sure to make even the dullest gifts look sexy. Accessorize used to be my go-to place for birthday presents when I was a teen, now it's always Urban Outfitters. House of Fraser is usually too expensive for me to shop there when there isn't a sale on! I found a couple of bargains but it took hours of determined searching as there are rails and rails of clothes all mixed together Lots of the clothes were on coat hangers with the wrong sizes on and there were garments that were ripped or had broken zips just mixed in with the normal sale clothes, which I thought was a bit shoddy.

When I moved to Bristol and discovered that Bishopston was a district, and that Bishopston Trading Company had a shop on Gloucester Road smack bang in the middle of it, things started to make a lot more sense! I've always considered the shop to be a little pricey, but the quality of the goods is unparalleled within this niche market. Stocking clothing for adults and children and sundries of Indian origin, it appeals to the urban hippy and artistic communities that thrive in this area. I have bought quite a few items of clothing over the years, as I know that they are durable, and the dyes won't send the rest of my wash a universal colour. These are important factors, but the main motivation to support Bishopston Trading Company is that they are devoted to a practice of fair trade, which is something that I am devoutly in support of. But if you're looking for a statement piece of clothing and are happy to spend a little more - here's the best place to go! The only things that let it down are the staff and the sizes. The sales assistant are a little on the snobby side, so I wouldn't be inclined to ask for their help and the sizes don't tend to go up further than a size 14.

Bath has become all too familiar with the traditional styles of Blazers and Shirt combinations due to its Rugby image and Public school history. This store changes that with unique cuts rarely seen in the high street. I came here for Christmas Shopping and was hugely impressed with the service. They set a stylish example and covered all grounds of customer service. I fully expected them to be snobby but they were actually extremely helpful and the gentleman on womenswear really helped me with my purchase of a coat. So much so i felt only right to respond to here and encourage Bath and its surrounding area to enter the new year with a visit there and enjoy its vibe.
