Instead, what I encountered was a complete nightmare from start to finish. Upon entering the store, I was not greeted by a single employee. After browsing for ten minutes, I had to approach two young men assembling furniture just to determine if they even worked there, as they had no identifying uniforms or name tags. One of them rudely told me his mom was in the back and stomped off when I asked if he could get her. When the woman finally appeared, her attitude was atrocious. She greeted me with a curt "It's going" when I politely asked how her day was. I tried to overlook her rudeness and proceeded to show her a picture of the item I wanted to purchase. She claimed it wasn't in stock and begrudgingly checked her catalog, only to confirm they didn't have it. I then selected a triple bunk bed and began looking at mattresses. But the ones she showed me were suddenly "unavailable" after I had made my selection. She tried to push memory foam on me despite me clearly stating I didn't want that type. The final straw was when she abruptly demanded to know "what organization are you from" for the receipt, before we had even finalized the purchase details. Her tone was so rude and off-putting that I had simply had enough. I told her directly that she was rude and walked out. As an agency that supports families, I had high hopes of forming a community partnership with a family-owned business-like Crazy Jay's. We frequently purchase furnishings for clients, and I thought working with you would be an amazing opportunity. However, after the horrible attitudes and service from your staff, I had no choice but to take my business elsewhere. It brings me no joy to write this complaint. In fact, it makes me very sad that I couldn't support a local business as I had hoped. But I felt compelled to bring this to your attention in the hopes that you will address these issues. I would hate for anyone else to endure the awful experience I went through. Please take this as constructive feedback to improve your customer service and staff training. I knew exactly what I wanted: a two-sided (flip-able) mattress with no pillowtop, medium firm. I was fed up with pillowtops that smushed down. You can buy thick pillowtop mattress covers instead. Much better option. Then flip your mattress top/bottom and head/foot and it will wear much more evenly and last years longer. Every single store I went to told me two-sided mattresses are not made anymore. They lied. Derby Mattress has them. They have every kind of mattress you could want. I've been sleeping on mine for a week now and I no longer wake up with pain in my lower back or neck. The mattress is the heaviest mattress I've ever owned. Very well constructed. It is on a platform bed, so no box spring needed. As far a value goes, Derby Mattress is way ahead. The prices are roughly the same as the big box stores (Slumberland, Ashley, Denver Mattress, Bob Mills), but the construction and quality are far and away better. The sales staff is nicer and much more knowledgeable, too.

He wasn't pushy, he let me look for a good hour and never really forced any one item upon me. I kinda rambled on about things, but he didn't roll his eyes or feel like I was wasting his time. He was knowledgable and was pleasant to be around. John was so helpful, I came back on Monday and added a dresser and table set to my order. He remembered me and remember about my trip I had taken the day before. The delivery was scheduled for Tuesday, May 17, and Charles and Chris were efficient and very polite. They came in and got it done within 30 minutes. The whole set up and everything. I was surprised they even put the rails up for the bed and everything. I bought the rails separately, so I was surprised. I really liked how you could use your phone number or invoice number to track the truck and where your order is since they give you a 2 hour window to win it's going to be delivered. An entire living room and bed room set done in 30 minutes, I applaud their speed and efficiency. While I'm giving it 5 stars, I will say I don't like the following around of some of the sales people. When I came back to show the wife what I had bought, many followed us around after we had already told them we were just looking at what we had already purchased. John, Chris, and Charles were great. Those three will bring me back again.

They billed us before we ever got the chair and that is when I met Justin Callison, who is the lead for the Human Touch chairs sold through Mattress Hub. It got so bad I just wanted them to take the chair back and they would not. Wells Fargo had already paid them and I was responsible for paying off the chair and Mattress Hub was off the hook. Well I saw Justin at the Minneapolis show last weekend and needless to say it was one of the most unprofessional and unlawful displays by a salesperson, that I have ever seen in my life.
