I've never heard of any business charging you to view the product before you purchase. I was happy I reviewed it because they misspelled a name. That would have been a disaster if we shared that. They charged us to fix their misspelling and then charged us to review it again. You have to pay 15 dollars to know if they spelled names correctly. That is kind of messed up. They are the cheapest company in town, so it may be worth it....just be aware of this practice.

She took special care to make sure everything was perfect and I was out the door in no time with my brand new photos that will bless me on several Euro trips, I am sure. The store was clean and interesting with lots of cool items. The only downside was that she said I would get my digital passport copies in my email in an hour. I called at the end of the day, and they just said to wait. I called again a few days later and gave my information and he said even though he didn't take them, he would try to look. I got my photos taken last week on a Thursday and it is a week later (Wednesday), and I guess I have to accept I'm not getting the digital copies sent to me. My email on the receipt is correct, and I've checked my Junk folders and everything. I double checked my email at the place so I know it would have gotten to me if they would have actually sent them. So just look out that if you are planning to renew your passport online, hopefully you'll get your digital prints, but I did not. No worries though, I might just go up in the future and get another photo taken and try again. I would still recommend the place. Edit: It's Thursday, and Tammy did call me this morning to say they would be sending photos my way - so great service! I really appreciate the help.

I had a medium flat rate USPS box. I was quoted $31.40, then told UPS was cheaper at $28.91. I went with UPS. When I got home, I double checked the flat rate cost at USPS and it is $19.15! I got ripped off. When I went back and confronted the owner, I got some runaround about how he can't give me USPS prices; I can only get those at the Post Office. Which is horse pucky, because I get USPS prices at Office Depot all the time (their system was down.) I said he owed me $10, which he refused to acknowledge. Do yourself a favor, save your money and go somewhere else.

I am a commercial photographer here in Denver and have used other professional labs for years. This past January I decided to do some homework on printing services and see if some of the other labs in town can create large format prints on more interesting paper (I was looking for something thicker than what the other labs offer, and with different texture). I have been into DPP many times, but never have I used their printing services. I saw they could print large format on Epson Cold and Hot Press Papers - something different, and unavailable with the labs i've used before. I was absolutely blown away with everything from the customer service, to the quality of the prints. I touched base with Scott who is in charge of the lab and completed the printing. Even though I'm a pro, I rarely make prints (I usually deliver clients electronic files). Scott had plenty of patience with me as I asked about paper, and how to proof the images prior to printing. He was quick on the draw in email response, and was very detailed in letting me know how my files would look on the final print. I ended up making 8 - 20 x 24 prints on the Epson Hot Press paper. Prints were completed on time so I was able to review them and prepare them for sale at a fundraiser. Scott made everything incredibly easy for me, I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. I now will not hesitate using the DPP lab again! They are incredible!! read more

I cannot recommend Denver Pro Photo highly enough! One of my cameras really needed cleaning and rehab; I am no pro, just a fairly avid hobbiest. But by just looking at the recent photos from this camera, I knew that it really needed a good cleaning. I asked six companies to estimate the fix for my camera and sent a picture illustrating the problems I was having. Only Denver Pro Photo got back to me with a reasonable price, a reasonable estimate of the time it would take, AND a diagnosis that agreed with what I had thought the issue was. Two days early they called me and told me that my camera was ready to pick-up. Not only did they do an excellent job, they provided me with Before-and-After test shots to illustrate the fix. They cleaned EVERYTHING right down to the memory card slots! They will definitely be seeing me again, and I will be recommending them as often as I have the opportunity to! read more

Denver Pro Photo provided outstanding customer service, above and beyond my expectation. I bought a scanner today from a store unrelated to Denver Pro Photo, and unfortunately could not figure out how to properly scan negatives to a color photo image to my computer. I located Denver Pro Photo online, and thought for sure after calling them, I was going to have to forget my new scanner, and bring my negatives to them for imaging. Instead, they freely provided me with instructions to change some program settings in order to properly scan my 20 year old wedding negatives. They saved me time and money and I am so appreciative that I do intend to bring them my business the next time I need printing or other photographic services! I needed someone to print some photos quickly with a matte finish and my search led me to Denver Pro Photo. In talking with Scott, he offered to do some cropping of the photos (WOW!), he helped me get them uploaded to a Dropbox folder that I could share with him (I wasn't too experienced with Dropbox at that point), and he did it all just as quick as any big chain store... only the quality was far better. What sold me was the exceptional customer service. Way more than I expected. Outstanding job. The price was higher than the big chains, but for what I got, it was far worth the price. Stopped in to ask questions about lighting needs and options for building Next Level Carpentry, a growing channel on YouTube. LeRoy and Harold answered every question I had and even some I didn't know to ask! With obvious years of experience and a genuine interest in what I'm trying to accomplish I can't imagine anyone more able to meet the needs of anyone trying to get professional results on video lighting. Students, this place is for you too! I was introduced to the store while taking film photography and ended up buying all my class supplies at Denver Pro Photo. As a student (or beginner) it can be somewhat intimidating to walk in to any place with the word "Pro" in it, but I found everyone there helpful, informative, and wonderfully patient. When I took a digital portrait class, we were asked to check out the local print labs and do comparison prints without in lab color-correction so we knew how each lab printed, and by far, Denver Pro Photo had the best prints, and exceptional customer service. read more

Their lab personnell is highly competent & helpful. They can print whatever you need, any size, on any surface you desire. I have called DPP a few times now for advice when problem solving printing issues at my home studio. Scott patiently guided me through a step by step analysis of my workspace, software, printer etc.. It took…read moresomething like 4+ months for it to be returned, during then I was moving across the country, and the negatives were shipped to my old address. I showed them a link through the shipping provider to change the delivery address; I was more than willing to be billed the difference to do so but never responded. By the time I got an acquaintance to pick up the package it was gone. It is not their responsibility for the packages safety once leaving their hands, but a courtesy email to see if the mailing address provided 4 months before was still good would have been appreciated. I can expect a lab to take a month at most when thinking if an address is solid for that time, but not 4 and not without a timeline from the lab on how long the delay will be. The people here provide a great service and great results, but I wasn't given any apology or recourse. I only wish them to improve because we all love shooting film and they make it easier.

I only needed something printed from email so she only charged me a dollar. I was surprised at the low price and gave her another dollar as a tip. I have local activist friends who distribute a lot of flyers, and advised that I would recommend their business. Today I needed a similar printing done and returned, expecting the same level of professionalism. The only employee working was a young guy to whom I explained what I needed and my previous visit. He said that I needed to come back at 5pm--their closing time--as he was the only employee working. He then said he would (grudgingly) assist with the 3 minute task, but not for less than $35 (!!!). When I told him of what I was charged previously for the same thing, he said that was wrong; so basically saying I'm lying while simultaneously lying about the cost himself. He also claimed to be the "manager", which is hard to believe, unless he's related to the owner-- but obviously not hired on merit. I went to the UPS store further down, and had a friendly 3 minute interaction with their pleasant professional clerk. I was charged $2.80. I wish I had gotten the name of the previous helpful employee to specifically recommend (only) her. If you need printing services, maybe check out the staffing on that day by calling ahead, but for other services, maybe see if the UPS store can assist you better. The disparity between the level of customer service of the two encounters is really a shame. It only takes one smug, dishonest worker to ruin a great first impression.
