This is a TERRIBLE florist - and I have given them two separate tries before I wrote this review. 1st flower order: the flowers arrived in such poor shape that I had the recipient take a photo which I forwarded onto the florist. Denville Florist immediately resent a new 'fresh' bouquet. 2nd flower order: I ordered via their website a specific selection on a Monday for a Monday delivery. I then called the florist on Wednesday when I learned the order had never arrived. After receiving multiple excuses, a flower arrangement was sent to the recipient yet it looked nothing like the original order photo. Again, the flowers were wilted and drooping. I called the shop and was told to send them a photo - which I did- of the both the original order and what was sent in its place. I was told once they received the photo, they would redo the arrangement. It never happened. The recipient has asked me to NEVER order from this florist again because the flowers are never fresh and are droopy and wilted. There are other florists in the area - use any of the others rather than Denville Florist- otherwise, you will be sorely disappointed. read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS FLORIST. Wish I could give 0 stars. Worst customer service I've ever seen. Order from candlelight or Broadway florists instead. I've lived in denville for over 10 years and this was my first time trying denville florist and will certainly be the last. Wish I had read the reviews ahead of time. Similar to all the others, I ordered online on the Saturday before Memorial Day, surprised that the option for them to be delivered on Memorial Day was available. In the back of my mind I figured they would be delivered Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around my friend hadn't received the flowers. I call that afternoon. A woman answers the phone 'Hello' surprised I said 'is this denville florist?' 'Yea this is the flower shop' uhh who answers the phone like that for a place of business. Flag #1. I ask about the order and she said it had already been dropped off when it hadn't. Miraculously the order was dropped off an hour later and looked NOTHING like what I had ordered. Paid $65 for 6 two toned roses in a beautiful vase with greenery (first photo) the second photo is what was received. I call back to tell her that wasn't what I ordered and got the worst attitude I've ever heard in my life. She said 'it's a very light 2 tone' when there isn't you can see in the picture. Cheap vase, different color sprays and cheap greenery. She says 'I already told you I was sorry what else do you want, no one has ever complained before' (which is a bold faced lie, because there are reviews from years ago that say the same thing) I said I want a refund! I'm not local to the Denville, NJ area but recently, I visited my boyfriend's family and after returning home to Nashville, I went on Denville Florist's website and ordered the Peach Delight bouquet to be delivered to my boyfriend's parents as a thank you. I received the order confirmation but the delivery date came and went and I didn't hear back from the parents. I called the shop and was nearly immediately hung up on with a brush off that she would call me back. A day went by and I didn't receive a call back. I reached out again and she said that the order had been placed but it was their error that it hadn't been delivered. Ultimately, the delivery was a week late and I suspect that - had I not called with three separate inquiries to stay top of mind - the delivery may not have arrived at all. When it did arrive, the parents sent me a photo and it was a very different arrangement than the photo on the website. There were different flowers, no hydrangeas, and the roses were already wilting. The arrangement looked much less impressive. I called to discuss with the shop owner and again, she brushed me off saying she would call me right back in 5 minutes. I've still not heard back from her. As an entrepreneur, I can confidently say that this is not how a business of integrity operates. If you're searching for a great LOCAL shop for online order/delivery, Denville Florist is not the place. Based on the reviews, it seems like the shop only caters to local events and should be honest about this on their website. If you don't have the time to make and deliver online orders, don't offer that service on your website. And if you're going to attempt to recreate bouquet templates used on your website, use the correct flowers. i ordered flowers for prom 3 corsages and boutonnieres. Rana becomes very shady and doesnt answer the phone. I stopped by the store and it was shut down due to unpaid taxes to government. Keep in mind she still hasnt confirmed she will give the flowers for prom. Then the day comes and she confirms she will drop it off and she doesn't. She says she will recompense me of the 170 but she has not. She is a scammer and i 100% do not recommend this florist. It is shameful that it is still running. read more

Placed last minute order for my anniversary, and chose them only because they said the order would be delivered the same day. When the flowers hadn't arrived and I knew they were about to close, I called them. The woman who answered the phone said I placed the order after 2pm, whats her point, their website said they could deliver them that day, as did the conformation email I receive. I knew I overpaid and paid 10 dollars for delivery only because of the same day delivery promise, which they did not honor. I was told the designer had to leave early, then don't accept the order. Then finally I was told I wasn't speaking with the actual flower shop, but an answering service, sure I was, and your designer, who happened to leave early, is Calvin Klein, right? I recently moved to this area, and now I know who I won't be ordering flowers from, ever again! read more

Nobody answered the phones morning of the event for me to pick up my Mother's corsage, one flower of which represented her deceased daugher. Wow, wow, wow! Rana is the best and went above and beyond. She took the time to put together a beautiful arrangement for a friend of ours who recently lost their spouse. Not only did she hand deliver it but she hand wrote the names of every single person who 'went in' on the floral gift on the card - a very nice personal touch. I selected Denville Florist based on the excellent reviews. My ninety-seven year old mother-in-law was recovering from surgery and feeling glum. I called and spoke with Rana. Together we came up with a colorful and cheery arrangement which included three balloons filled with helium. A yellow smiley face, a brightly colored get well soon and a purple metallic star. My MIL was ecstatic when she described her flowers and balloons when we called to check in (we are not local). It gave her spirits a much needed lift. She received the arrangement on the 11th of January. She went home the following Friday with the balloons full of life. 3 weeks later they continue to bring her joy. My husband and I agreed that we will choose Denville Florist again and highly recommend Rana. Customer service is her priority and she excels. A rare find. read more

I called a local florist as a courtesy to save them the commission fee even though I live out of state. I picked this florist based on previous reviews. Although the flowers I ordered got to the destination "same day" which was great, the person on the phone who took the order was obviously harried and kept trying to rush and get me off the phone. I have no idea what I sent because she didn't explain anything except agreed to use purple flowers and add a bear for $15. She also never gave me the total spent. Was in town for my parents' 50th Anniversary Party and had to get flowers for their banquet at a Mountain Lakes restaurant. Read the great reviews for Denville Florist and met with Rana. My flower design knowledge is fairly limited, but Rana instantly grasped the situation and the style of the event. I said my mom liked simple and elegant, and that the colors for a 50th anniversary were yellow roses and purple somethings. The five rectangular displays were delivered right on time to the restaurant (on a Sunday, no less), and were absolutely stunning. They looked fabulous in the space, and everyone kept discussing how gorgeous and sophisticated they were. So many guests wanted to "help out" and take one of the arrangements home with them that my parents were lucky to make off with one for their own enjoyment! It was a great relief to me, as my mom is very anxious and hard to please, and I did not want her to be unhappy at her special party. I am so lucky to have found Rana, and will now be sure to call her directly for future flower arrangements. She is so creative and knowledgeable. All around a great experience! read more

My boyfriend ordered me flowers for my birthday from this florist. Not only did they come a day later than specified, they called me at work on the original delivery date, to ask what time I would be at work tomorrow. He never gave them my number, they looked up the business number. They not only ruined his surprise, when they did finally arrive they were a completely different bouquet than he ordered! Not just a few flowers exchanged, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. 2 days later, half the flowers are already wilted.
