Brought my 2021 Silverado in with an issue of it not engaging in first gear in the morning. It happens every morning I went out of town and came back a week later and they did over $5000 worth of service repairs, including tires and brakes and all the easy things and told me they couldn't duplicate the transmission concern. Friday afternoon, my truck was towed into DeNooyer Chevrolet with a transmission problem. It no longer shifts at all and now needs a remanufactured transmission ....wondering if DePaul had actually put some effort into looking for the problem. Their website has been down all season, and I cannot receive the tickets! I have called dozens of times, and they keep forwarding me to an answering machine! My review echoes those about Damien DeDonatis AND the management of this establishment when I tried to report him. When I asked for the lease agreement and explained my position as the "devil is in the details," he became verbally and physically defensive. He continually talked over me and lashed out. He continued to tell my mother that he was supposed to be with his family. After my mother left, he texted her offering $2,000 off. Now, when I called the management of DePaula to explain the situation, I was met with the same defensiveness. After I explained the situation, the manager said, "What do you want me to do about it? Didn't your mom apologize for your behavior?... No, I'm not going to let you finish," and continued on until I hung up. Was interested in a used truck. Called and talked to Hana who referred me to an assistant mgr Jose Coffil. Requested photos of undercarriage to determine level of rust. Too over 4 hours and a call to the mgr to get photos. Considerable rust but nothing that could not be fixed with a days worth of work. Asked Jose for best price. Response, "We currently own the truck for more than the listed price, so th online price is already ur best offer. Our goal is to move inventory within 60 days, so if the truck doesn't sell this month, we'll wholesale it in an effort to recover some of the loss". REALLY? whis company would rather wholesale a vehicle at a "LOSS" rather than reduce the asking rice from $37,950 to $36,000 as compensation for the work to treat the undercarriage rust and replace the wheel (rusted) for the spare tire? Worst car experience ever.... The gentleman who sold me my car once I did the sale guess what.... Never returned my phone calls when I called him the very next day after buying it because a tube fell off underneath the hood of my car and shut down and that's just to start with. After about a week all the lights came on and they never shut off. I had to take the car in and out for servicing about five different times, even though the car had low mileage. It was only in the 60,000s. No one there really cared. They never gave you a rental car when you drop the car off. I had to rent a car on my own for sometimes almost a month and they never reimbursed me. They're supposed to have a car for me when they're doing repairs. They are I would say the worst car dealership in this entire capital region. My wife ended up buying a car there on pressure from her parents. I told her no but she did and she has had problems with her car since day 1. I would strongly recommend no one ever buys a car there. It's only good for scrap metal. I mostly dealt with Younas a sales manager by phone, email and text as I live an hour away and Depaula was the only dealer in the entire area with the Silverado High Country I was wanting. I went to pickup the truck the next day and would say I was only at the dealership for an hour or a little less and that included the time it took my salesman Marc Murphy to show me the features of the truck and setup Onstar. Younas and Marc were both outstanding and I appreciated them making this the EASIEST car buying Experience I have ever had. They set up financing for me, made sure I got every discount from GM and their dealership, and arranged financing. 2/21/2024 Entered showroom at roughly 11:40 am. Admired the "Manager's Special" Equinox and even sat in it. Loved the new Corvette with memories of days long ago. Walked around showroom 2x. Salesman was typing on his cellphone, another sales was playing a game on his cellphone (his back was turned to me so I saw the screen). Finally since no one wanted to talk to me, I went out to the long line of Trax vehicles, on the Everett road side of the parking lot. Looked at what must have been a dozen cars lined in a row. Finally I went back to my car, and left. I took time from my day to attempt to purchase a car. Never got greeted, never got even a smile from any of the showroom staff, not even a business card. Update - Sierra STARTER FAILED AGAIN after 24 months and 21,000! This makes three starters in under 50K miles. However this time it's not under warranty. Spoke with the service manager and they would not stand behind the part or offer any warranty on the previous repair. Instead they offered a $60 discount on the repair. So instead of over $800 the repair cost was $751.00. $342 for the part $413 in labor plus tax. On the positive side, they were able to repair it and return it that day. Thought I'd found one of the few good dealerships. Guess I need to keep looking. Came back and bought a 2014 Cruze for my daughter. Her first car. Not a great experience! When we came to pick it up at the scheduled time, it was out on a test drive because it couldn't pass inspection because of electrical issues it was having. Seems getting it inspected and ready for delivery was an afterthought. Instead of calling us to reschedule, we sat for over an hour while they worked through the issues. They offered to release it to us with a dealer tag so that we could take it home uninspected and come back the next day. I politely declined the offer to let my teenage daughter drive home in an uninspected vehicle. It was delivered that day just before the dealership closed and the remaining process felt very rushed. So incredibly different from my experience purchasing my Sierra. Update- the starter failed under warranty. Chuck got me right in and repaired faster than I would have thought possible. They had me back on the road next day! Saved my weekend! Their "iservice" is amazing! Great communication channel! Another great experience! Purchased a truck from Depaula last month. Worked with Randy and Tyler . Very fair price on truck and trade. Sales process was free of the usual... experiences... you get from most car dealers. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP Please read my entire review, I am hoping to show any potential or existing clients to not go to Depaula Chevrolet as there is no longer any positive reputation or reliability left from their sales or service Departments On 10-10-24, I purchased a 2017 GMC Terrain Denali that only had 28,000 miles on it, and the body of the vehicle looked to be in excellent condition. My salesperson was Nick St. Pierre. Nick was extremely aggressive and pushy with trying to make the deal happen (4 square breakdown with ridiculous interest rate for prime credit) ...I secured my own private financing with much better rate through Bank of America, and was foolish to accept the purchase of the vehicle had I known the mechanical failures it would have After purchasing the vehicle, two weeks later it was back at Depaula's, as all four of the tires on the vehicle (the inside portion of the tire was shredded down to the metal). The service manager (Traci Perrigo) informed me that the Sales Department pushed this vehicle out as quickly as possible which lead to the vehicle never being aligned or other mechanical checks. As a result of no alignment being done, all four of my tires were destroyed and Depaula had to replace them. Depaula's was even reluctant to provide me a rental until I informed them that I would be renting a car from Enterprise and sending them the bill. At that point, surprising they were able to find a rental. Through the course of the past few months, I've started to notice the below issues with my vehicle: every brake rotor on the vehicle is rusted beyond belief (never seen it before on any vehicle I ever owned), the springs and struts are rusted (which may identify why this vehicle has the worst ride out of any vehicle I have ever owned from trucks to Mercedes to Cadillacs). The next issue is any time I touch the break that meets the rotor, it squeals extremely loud and sound like a rough grinding noise. The next issue is the transmission slips when shifting at higher RPMs. Through all these issues (with less than a year since my purchase), I brought it to an auto repair shop to have an evaluation. The mechanic then provided an inspection sheet and explained to me that whoever sold me this vehicle really "gotcha." The mechanic stated that based on just looking at the tire components and undercarriage alone, this vehicle sat a long time until being sold, and may even have been a flood damaged vehicle that caused the tires and undercarriage to rust the way it did. Now fast forward to two weeks ago. Depaula contacted me as part of their "buy-back" program, which I hilariously entertained as I expected Depaula to do the right thing. The internet salesperson Brayley contacted me multiple times (repeating the same script over and over even though we already chatted on the phone, and I expressed my concerns). Brayley stated that the manager would need to do an appraisal in person, so I decided to visit the dealership and informed the salesperson Dave Barry of the above concerns. Dave Barry was honestly lost of how to assist me and his only remarks was "Well I'm sorry but I wasn't here when the car was sold to you a year ago, and sometimes this happens when you buy used cars." Dave and I looked on Depaula's website for a few options (I could have done this at home), and attempted the sales pitch of lets see the vehicle you're interested in, however, I expressed that I wanted my GMC appraised before chatting any further (expecting Depaula's to atleast do the right thing and take this vehicle back after rushing this unsafe car off their lot to a dedicated customer). After Dave found out my payoff for my GMC and what they would appraise my vehicle at, he stated we're too far away from making a deal. This is not about a deal, and I could care less if Dave was at Depaula at the time I purchased this vehicle, this is about the safety of your customers and integrity of your Dealership. I'll be speaking with legal representation regarding options and obtaining all service records and history for this GMC vehicle. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO DEPAULA CHEVY, there are many different and more respectable Dealerships within close proximity and area that will be better to assist you. read more

In June 2023 I purchased a used Hyundai Tucson from DePaula. Before I left the sales lot, I noticed a ding a star small one. but it was there in my windshield. I pointed it out to the sales man. He took pictures of it and told me he would be in touch to get it fixed. I have no idea how many phone calls I made how many promises I heard that it would be taken care of and now it's the middle of September, and it's still not fixed. Internet Sale I had been corresponding with Kasie Leibach about a 2016 Silverdo for sale for $40K, the miles listed in the ad was 12,000 but the speedometer in the pictures show the miles at 21,086. That is still low mile so I was still interested, I had been emailing Kasie since Tuesday and told her I'd be there on Thursday morning (today) to PICK IT UP as she only asked "morning or afternoon". I live in Boston,Ma. I called Kasie right before heading out the door at 10am to confirm the truck was still available and was told "it sold last night". I purchased a used Nissan Versa through this dealership with a warrantee. September 6th I brought my car in to the service center due to the transmission frequently jerking/lurching under acceleration. The car sat around for a week and a half before it was even seen, at which point I was informed that the transmission was to be replaced. Warrantee covered it, picked it up after service was done and was informed the problem was dealt with. This immediately proved to not be the case, a quick test drive should have confirmed this as the issue started again as soon as I pulled out of their lot and continued consistently. Brought it back in as soon as they said they had an opening, again it sat for a while before being seen. Another $800+ dollar repair, they told me it was taken for an extensive test drive with no issue. Same thing when I picked it up again, as soon as I left the dealer lot the exact same issue happened and persisted regularly. Today I'm bringing it back in for service with a check engine light, I asked for one additional item to simply be looked at (windshield washer nozzles not working) and was told the best they could do is reschedule it to add that task and the soonest they can get it in is January 10th, over a month away. Horrible delays with service and dishonest information given when picking the car up. Have also been overcharged on parts when paying out of pocket. When confronted about it they at least knocked some money off the bill, so minor credit there. I strongly would not recommend this business based on my experience. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Unfortunately it is up to the customer to inspect the vehicle's cabin air filter and anyplace else that mice might like to hangout. You'd think if a customer finds a ton of mouse crap in their car on the first day of ownership that the dealer would admit they made a mistake and swap it out for another car, especially when they had an identical model "coming soon" on their website a few days later. But nope, they just make empty promises over and over again, putting the buyer through weeks of stress and frustration, deflecting blame onto the customer. I feel like I'm telling these people how to do their job, is there not a checklist of everything that needs checking if evidence of mice is present in the vehicle? Twice I brought it in to clean up the mess, and then I checked the air filter and no one had bothered to take notice that it's absolutely filthy, putting me and my loved one's lung health at risk in the middle of a pandemic. Now it's 5 weeks later, they've taken the car FOUR times, totaling 16 days in the shop, I've paid my first payment, and the car interior is still disgusting. After the most recent "cleaning" where they supposedly tore the whole car apart, I found a 2 year old receipt wedged under the carpet under the front seat(which you can see in the picture I took on 10/28), seeds and feces are still blowing out of the vents, and there is plenty of rodent hair and pulverized droppings under the front seats around the heater vents. On top of all that, there's a stop sale order on all non-2020 Chevy bolts due to a recall, so it seems like the only option I have left is to pay DePaula $10,000 more for a brand new model, or just live with this gross car for the next 5 years. Extremely unprofessional operation, they can be sure none of my family, friends, or coworkers are ever buying a vehicle from them anytime soon. Absolutely disgusting service received today at Depaula. No COVID guidelines were adhered too, no gloves, no floor mat, no seat mat. An oil change took 2.5 hours. Upon receiving my vehicle back the seat was so far up to the wheel I couldn't get in. There was oil slicks on my door and fender. There was even oil running off my rims!!!! Absolutely uncalled for, I get the manager who simply wipes up the oil & offered a car wash. It's been 2.5 hours, you'd think you'd of washed my vehicle with this sloppy mechanic on the job. Icing on the cake was no reminder sticker of the oil change. I won't even get into how filthy their waiting area is or the human hair left on the ledges of the waiting room chairs or all the obvious finger smudge marks all over the doors, windows, & tables. Hour and a half of my life I won't get back. The salesman Dario was awesome with me and helped me decide between two trucks I was really interested in. When it came time to talk money the sales manager wouldn't even entertain negotiating on the price for a measly 2k less even with putting over half the total price as a cash down payment. I really had faith in this dealership after two other poor experiences elsewhere but this one is just the same.
