My daughter and her friend received more complex tattoos the day before by Sol. I went in thinking mine would be easy for them and I had been wanting for quite some time to get this. Just never had the time. Sol was cleaning shop when I came in so I was tattooed by "E-Josh" who said he'd been tattooing for 8 years. It's horrible. He didn't even try to follow the stencil he put on. I provided the photo and gave him the time to create the stencil. Now I have to waste money fixing it. After about 2 years the tattoo has held pretty well. Some of the lines just aren't even or consistent. Overall I'm still happy with the tattoo but I just wish those lines were consistent. read more

Went in here with my sister as walk ins. The shop is super clean, tactfully decorated, with soothing music, and a crazy good vibe. We went in to get matching tattoos and just knew we wanted simple swallows on our wrists. Sol Keen drew is up something really quick and it was exactly what we wanted. He was very organized and super clean and professional. He is also crazy knowledgeable about tattoos, ink, local area stuff, and meanings behind different tattoos. I was so impressed. I went first and it took him about 10 minutes to do mine. It didn't really hurt at all. My sister went next and it was quick and mostly painless (her first ink) for her as well. Walked in there after I heard they do walk in's was looking for a small one for my mom that just passed away( well that was the problem) they acted like they couldn't be bothered with a small tattoo that was not interesting to them. The atmosphere was way off and the room was full with arrogance that it made me not any work from that shop so I went a few blocks away to grape st. I came here with my cousin on a whim to get tiny Douglas Fir tattoos because I was visiting from Virginia and and Oregon is like my second home. Anywho, we called barely an hour before closing and we were told to come on in, score. The guy at the desk (didn't ask his name I'm an asshole) was incredibly nice and funny and went and grabbed our artist, Paul. NOW, Paul is probably my favorite artist I've ever met and my tattoo only took maybe 10 minutes max. He was very careful to listen to what I wanted and double checked everything. He was also very personable and his work was immaculate, fine lines like an old ladies face it's a perfect tattoo especially for how small it is. I scooted off the table and he cleaned everything before tattooing my cousin which shouldn't be something to be excited about but Virginia artists can be shady. An added bonus was Jesse the other artist that was there also talked to us and gave me names of artists in Virginia that do great work. All in all it was an amazing experience and I'd make the venture back out just to be tattooed by Paul, which I'm planning to do in December. He's that good. The shop is clean, staff is f*cking rad, and they do great work. If you're looking for a place to get inked you'd be dumb not to come here. Thank y'all so much!!! read more

We came to dependable tattoo as a last resort and I was not disappointed AT ALL. Sol was very accommodating and helped us get what we wanted although we were nervous coming to a new place. He had finished all of his appointments for the day and still took time for us. We were very nervous for the line work but he took his time to make sure that we loved our tattoo before it was on us forever. We had found our idea online and he came up with the idea of changing it in a little way to make sure our tattoo was ours and no one else would have it. He was very chill and awesome. We were very pleased with the outcome. I will definitely be coming back here for future tattoos if I ever find myself in Medford again. I recommend this place to all.
