I was greeted by Shelly, the owner, with a warm and welcoming smile. We had a nice conversation while she took her time to meticulously cut my hair and that is something that other hairdressers in the chain/franchise type Salons just don't do! It's usually Move'm in Move'm out! Not at Gents! I loved my cut and suggest that you make an appointment at Gents Barbershop for your next Haircut, you won't be disappointed! Last week 2 of the kids…read moreended up with cuts they hate, so I called to ask for someone to clean them up a bit (didn't place blame, said I was happy to pay for it to be fixed). I want to be clear the kids left saying they liked the haircuts (they didn't want to be rude) and my husband really wasn't paying close attention, it was totally on us to speak up but we didn't. When I called and explained, I didn't blame the barber and I offered to pay to have them re-cut, I wasn't confrontational and explained I wasn't mad, but the kids were bummed and didn't actually like how they looked. What lost my business is how he handled this. Didn't listen at all, got super defensive and rude. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we ended up at Royal Blendz in Salisbury and the gentleman couldn't have been nicer. I didn't think the haircuts were even fixable, but he made them look great.

He could be charging double his prices and it would still be worth it. No better feeling than when you found "the one". Every 3 weeks it's the same great cut and friendly conversation. He operates the shop with his wife Faith who does great work too. That's based on the look of happiness on her clients' faces when I've been there. I cannot say enough great things about this place. They're also right next door (it's actually attached) to a DELICIOUS Lebanese restaurant called Martha's.
