With so many courier choices in the area there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO reason to use this one. If your airline is using a courier MAKE SURE IT IS NOT THIS ONE. They had my luggage in Boston and were supposed to deliver it to my hotel. The only reason I knew they had it was because of the AirTag. So I saw that it had been at their location for hours. Called and they told me they couldn't deliver it because they didnt have anyone on that route. Mind you, I was 2.5 miles from them. So I had to take an Uber to pick up my luggage. DDS was involved by AirFrance to deliver two luggages that missed the connection in Paris. Awful service. 36 hrs after the arrival of the luggages I had to go there in person to pick up my stuff and found 1 luggage with broken wheels. The day before they promised four time the delivery at 4pm, than at 6pm, than between 8 and 10 pm, than around 2am (!!!) the following day. Nothing happened. Every time I had an operator saying "I will personally bring them", or "I put it on the truck myself". Unbelievable. The guy who delivered my bag was nice enough, but the the company itself was unreliable, unrealistic, unresponsive, and delivered my bag late. I had asked Alaska Airlines to call me when my bag arrived so I could have a local friend pick it up for me, but they didn't and instead sent my bag out for delivery with this company. It was nice that they had tracking information and emailed that it has been picked up, but that's where the positives end. I called multiple times throughout the day and even left messages asking for updates as my tracking number showed that my bag hadn't moved from souther Maine in over 3 hours. They were supposed to bring my bag with a critical medical device between 11 and 1 am. The flight arrived at 4. I said I need it before 11 and the guy said that's not going to happen. I said it must show up asap because I need it to breathe and I'm leaving tomorrow morning to drive cross country. The driver never showed. Should be zero stars! Complete incompetence!! Apparently they're the only game in town - only service contracted to deliver luggage from all of Boston Logan. I received my bags about 16 hours after I was told they were picked up, and despite numerous communications stating they were on their way 12 hours earlier. Spoke to rude dispatchers and driver. They're apparently used to irate customers. They should not be in the business. If you have delayed or lost luggage, DO NOT allow the airline to turn over to this delivery service. DDS seems to like to delivery luggage late at night. I was told I would get my bag between 11pm to 1am. I was so jetlagged there was no way I could stay up till 1am. Then I called them up and was told it would come at 10pm. My luggage came at 10:28 pm which was not horrible. My luggage actually arrived in the airport at 11:30am so it took really long to get to my house. If you have a car, its much faster to go to the airport and pick up the luggage yourself. You do not have real time tracking. Uber has real time tracking. My family iPhones have real time tracking. We arrive at 8AM - no bags. Bags will be to you between 2PM and 4PM - ok no problem. Bags do not arrive but an email saying bags will deliver by 8PM and "Ed" will deliver them and here is Ed's email. Do you have drivers emailing while driving? Meantime we find out that no driver has the bags until 6PM. 8PM comes and goes - no bags. No answer when we finally can dig up your phone number. Ya da ya da ya - almost 11PM Theodore shows up with the bags. If I had known i would have just gone back to the airport. In short - one of the worst service experiences I've encountered in my life. And I was born and raised in the former Soviet Union, the land of the rude and zero accountability. 1 star is hella generous for DDS. These guys couldn't deliver a carton of milk, let alone luggage. After the airline lost my bags ( not mentioning them here not to deflect any attention from DDS. They'll be getting their own message "thanking them" for the impeccable selection of carriers) I was told that I will be informed when the bag has been picked up, the call will come from the driver to give me the description of the bag to make sure its the right one, they will bring it to my house. The next day when it was late enough and the luggage still didn't arrive I called DDS. Very abrupt mammal told me that the bag hasn't been picked up yet, they don't know anything and when they do I will be the first to know. if only that was the case. Hours later I ran out to the corner store. Downstairs, in between the doors, there are my bags. Mind you my building doesn't have security on-site, concierge, or even a lock on the door that leads to the street. So my shit was sitting there up for grabs. Nice work DDS. Not only I wasn't given the treat of some muscle man helping me take the bags upstairs, but he also couldn't even use one of those muscles to dial my number and let me know he'll be leaving my bags pretty much on the sidewalk. You are welcome!... I read a ton of reviews about DDS since and all are from people outraged with their conduct. I at least was lucky enough to get my stuff. Some folks lost their bags completely, they arrived broken, or in the middle of the night, wrong bags and you cant get a hold of DDS to find the right one. Its a parade of terrible feedback. Yet, oddly enough they are still in business!! So my advice if your bags are lost be sure to pay attention who is the delivery service. If its DDS I would set a tent outside and be on the lookout in case they just toss your bag out the truck window onto the sidewalk. read more

Very quick and efficient service. I took Hainan airline and my luggage was lost in Beijing while making connection. I have received a phone call about 11:00PM and have scheduled a delivery window of 2:00AM to 4AM. The airline confirmed that DDS picked up my bags at noon. Through the website DDS advised my bags would be delivered around 6pm which was not possible since my bag was sitting at their facility all day. When I called at 9pm, he immediately knew that he had my bag and that it was with them. When I asked why it hadn't been delivered - he said not enough drivers. When I asked why he didn't contact me or the airline with that info, he got angry with me. When I told him not to raise his voice with a customer - he hung up on me. Flew in on Fri, waited for my bags all day Saturday, no idea if I will get them before I fly out on Sun. Can't imagine why anyone would risk using this company for anything. read more

People need to give this company a break. They are one of the few (only) in Boston that provide this type of service, which is complicated, and they (at least in our case) do a good job. Bags were picked up at Logan at 2:45 and delivered to our home at 7:45 as promised. A couple of comments: I will say that there "Wheresmysuitcase.com" website was useless for us since we did not have the required "reference number" (not sure where you get that?), and all the ones we had and tried did not work. So you need to reach them (press 1) and talk to someone. Each time I was able to reach a person at the office right away and they were helpful. I will also say that you need to stay on top of this stuff since the communication between the airline (Turkish Air, in our case) and DDS is not great. But if you do (take 3 breaths, be polite and kind), you should be fine. I will surmise that this Co. likely takes the brunt of frustration as the last step in what is in most cases a very frustrating process of which most of the difficulty is often with the airline (or at least it was in our case). Hope this helps. In sum: Be kind to each other. Understand that on the other end of the phone is a human. And you'd be surprised how the "stars" start to pile up :) read more

They are absolutely the worst. They picked up our 2 bags from Logan airport from Air France that should have come the day before. The bags were picked up at 6pm. Yet when I called at 945pm, the person told me the bags were not there and that I should call at 1030pm. When I called then, she said that Air France had lied and that our bags were never picked up. When I asked again that there were no bags from Air France because I had a ticket confirming pickup suddenly the bags were there. Claimed they were not entered correctly. Went on to confirm address and telephone number. Then told me that they would delivered between 12am and 3am. No signs of bags..who knows when they will come. All the other reviews are correct. Never let the airlines deliver your bags. Just go to Logan and pick them up yourself. It's a joke to have to wait for 9 hours for your bags to be delivered 15 mins away. read more

Air France left my bag in Paris on a Tuesday. It arrived on the Wednesday evening Boston flight and at 8:58PM I got the call from DDS that it was scheduled for delivery. It arrived at my Plymouth home at 8:55AM on Thursday. Driver called when he was in the driveway. I was pleased to see him and he brought my bag up all 13 steps to the front door. I first called them around 1PM at their number 1-617-569-8035. I was told that my bag will be delivered within 2 hours. I then received a call from them at around 3:35 PM. They stated that my luggage will be delivered between 4 and 6 pm. Then again I received a call at 6 pm in which they said that my luggage will be delivered before 9 pm. When I called them at 9 pm to ask about the status, they said they were not sure when it will be delivered. I was at the end of my patience. I told them that I have been waiting at home the whole day for my luggage. I also asked the person his name and said that I will register a complain with British Airways. At this point the person said that his name was Daniel Roberts and he threatened not to deliver my luggage. He was very rude and said that i could go ahead and complain all i wanted to British Airways, but he will not deliver. I am really shocked at this behavior. Instead of treating the situation with urgency, He was intimidating towards me and indifferent about my plight. I called British Airways and reported this incident. Additionally, I am giving this written complaint. My advice to fellow passengers is to ask the airlines to hold the luggage at the airport and get it yourself. Six days I am waiting for my Lufthansa luggage. Company said Lufthansa that they call me and I don't answer. Today finally get in touch with them over the phone- extremely RUDE. I arrived at night in the airport and was told that the baggage was delayed and will arrive in the airport next morning around 8-9 a.m. I had my medication and important gifts in the bag so I had get it the next day. Deputy Delivery Service was to deliver my baggage and they are being delayed more than 12 hours now, and still did not arrive. The representative was really unhelpful and had no intention to help but to talk out of the situation saying the baggage is likely to arrive between 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.! 2 A.M! When I asked for the name of the rep, he said "no thanks" and did not provide his name. Besides I think it's against consumer rights law. I felt terrible after talking to this guy. read more

If I'm given a choice to give NO or negative star I would have done that. My piece of luggage was "received at 10am" today but I never got any call re delivery. DDS lied to wheresmysuitecase.com (which American Airlines and many other airlines have contracts with for luggage delivery) and told them that they tried to get hold of me. My phone's log evidenced that I did not miss one phone call from anyone the entire day. At 10pm DDS finally called and completely passed the bug back to me and made me stay up between 12am and 3am to get my bag, or leave it to the driver on the next day to decide when they will deliver (if at all). While the actual delivery person was lovely, the male I spoke to from my Boston Hotel about my lost luggage, was rude, and hung up on me. I am a physician, who needed medication that was in my bag and could not travel with me. My first connector to Boston was late, and I was assured my bag would arrive with me, or I could have taken a later flight. I called in a panic, when I was told by the hotel it might not arrive until 11pm or within 24 hrs. I was assured by the person at Air Canada delayed baggage at the Boston Airport that it would be around 9pm, which it was, or I would not have panicked. I did not need to be hung up on my a rude man who quite obviously should seek work elsewhere if he cannot go the extra mile to help a person in need. In Canada, a person at a delivery ofc COULD call a delivery person by phone, I am sure they exist in Boston, and simply ask when the bag would be delivered, not just give me a vague "4 hr window". I will certainly be writing in formal from Canada when I return. My very first experience with the "hospitality" of America in Boston was not great. My bag arrived on Thursday night and the Delta system showed that it was delivered to DDS at 8:00 am. At 5:00 pm it was still sitting in their office -- and I was a ten minute cab ride away. When I called to ask about my bag they seemed so bored, disoriented, and disinterested that I offered to come get my bag from them (largely because I wasn't sure they would actually follow through with delivery).
