They deserve 5000++ 5* reviews. My son who's a college student had a flight that was a disaster and had to be diverted to Logan airport. His luggage never arrived and was still at his connection (a whole other story). The airline contracts with a courier DDD that has more 1* reviews that I care to comment and those reviews are well warranted. My son's luggage sat at Logan for several days with absolutely zero sense of urgency AND he is on medication that he MUST check in so that caused more issues. I was in a bind and finally had no choice but to do what I could to handle this on my own. The first company I called was this one. I called at 12:30am EST and after 2 rings, Greg picked up. He's the owner. He listened to my situation, calmed me down, and stated "I will help you." Word that NO ONE said at the airline nor DDD. I provided him with information, he promised me he would take care of me. I went to bed. At 11:00am, my son received his luggage. All I can say is LISTEN.RESPOND.DELIVER that is the slogan for this company. I am extremely grateful that Greg took my call and was willing to help a parent like me at 12:30am and do as he promised. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COURIER SERVICE ENOUGH. I wish his business all the success and truly appreciate his sense of urgency and understanding of situations like this. Much appreciated! read more

These guys are awesome. Super responsive on communications, clear about what information they need to get your stuff across town fast, friendly, easy to work with. I was in town to give a presentation and discovered to my horror that I had left my power cord at home. I have a weird computer so borrowing was not an option. So when I was watching Tough Love instead of printing out my Grad School Application... well I needed something delivered, and URGENTLY. Got on the phone and told the man, Me, "I'm an idiot and I need something delivered to XYZ place because I slacked and have become swamped at work and can't get away. Lightening fast and super down-to-earth, professional and deftly communicative. FOTC was at my door in less than an hour for a same-day delivery and when there was an issue delivering my package, they did everything they could to make sure it got to the right place! Turns out, the business of said delivery did not open for an hour after my desired delivery time, so the messenger held onto the package and delivered it as soon as the place opened! I'm needed a messenger to pick up birthday cannolis on the North End and deliver them to my daughter at her job on Boylston after my own messenger service refused due to the Marathon street closings. I'm in LA so can't deliver myself but I checked Yelp and found Fly Over the City. The reviews were good so I called and they said no problem they get onto Boylston so I hired them! They picked up the cannolis and delivered them within an hour!! They're computerized also and I got an email with my run info and just got another that the job is completed! I've used Fly Over the City for about 5 years now and wouldn't ever dream of changing courier services. The courier team (lead by Greg and Kevin) are amazing, they are timely, polite and hygienic. I never think twice about sending them to clients offices to pick up or deliver packages. The monthly billing statement is detailed and I can get it online (yay!) customized to fit my accounting needs. If there is an issue with a delivery I always get a call asking how to proceed and I trust them to honestly tell me if it's okay to leave it in a secure location (like slip it under the door) or if they need to reattempt at a later time or the next day. I can't say enough good things about the staff and owners at "FOTC", they are environmentally aware (using bio diesel), personable, competitively priced and 100% reliable. read more

These guys were great at first until the drive got here and no idea what addresses he was going to, even though I had communicated everything already to the dispatcher. When I told him that I had already given the addresses, he gave me some rude responses back I also don't know what anyone's talking about with the "cute guys" the two times I requested service from these guys, it was surprise, the first was a guy in his 50s with a motorcycle jacket and the second was a rude middle aged man in a blue suit. read more

I spoke to FOTC at 3PM, for the first time, yesterday. Amazing. Not only did they get this done without any glitches, they were pleasant and thorough. I had called 5 other services. I got hung up on, never called back or told "we don't do that." Not only did FOTC do it, they did it well and fast and emailed me receipts etc. I cannot say enough. I would use them again and will. I was concerned because the case for the guitar is flimsy and I was worried about it getting banged up (I had visions of the Jim Carrey movie where he is a UPS delivery guy and he kicks the package a couple blocks to the front door). i live in los angeles and wanted to send my bestie some get well goods after getting out of the hospital. i had the Fly Over guys pick up some organic juices and wheatgrass shots from 570 on tremont and deliver it to her house in southie. they were great about covering me for the total cost of the goods from 570 [since they don't take payment over the phone] and simply included that to their courier service charge, even txting me a photo of the receipt from the market. props to brian for being really nice over the telephone. i'll use them again if i ever need a boston area messenger service. read more

I live in LA...and 'know' events are coming but like the other self-defined procrastinator writing a review: I wait til the last minute. None of the 'I'll call the store directly' in Boston or Amazon Prime (or equivalents) were working. After all: it was Saturday morning and the triplets birthday was today...in Boston. Found FOTC, called and spoke to Greg, explained the problem. "We'll take care of it"...almost fell off my chair. And they did! For a modest fee (very appropriate given the weekend/timing-same day delivery request), their courier (Peter) called me, went to the party store, picked out the three pinatas, candy, blindfolds etc, paid for it, filled out the card, and delivered it to the house before 5pm ET. Unbelievable!! I will sign up as a corporate/regular account and use/tell EVERYONE I know there (Boston/NYC) about FOTC. Personable, helpful, responsible, and willing to do that extra piece (helped even though I didn't have presents picked out/paid ready for pick up). I have never needed a personal messenger service before, but I was so happy to speak with Brian at Fly Over the City Courier Service today. It is my husband's birthday today and I wanted to send cupcakes to his office. The cupcake shop only delivers with 24 hr notice and I just thought of this idea this morning.
