I began going to De'Qui for acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine about a year ago. Lida Ahmady, the practioner, is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. I have gone to other acupuncturists in the past there are many differences. Some of the others treated me in tiny, not so clean rooms, or ones that were overly sterile, there was also very little "patient-doctor" interaction. Lida has a both a calming personality and has designed the quiet patient rooms and her office so that even before you get started you begin feeling better. Ms Ahmady has an interesting background in that she was born in Afghanistan but educated in the west. She perfectly blends the medical styles of east and west, and through her personal travels those from South America too. While working together I learned how to quiet myself and take better care of both my body and my psyche. Lida really cares about her patients. You can comfortably confide as little or as much as you wish with her. To be honest I loved working with her. I noted other patients being treated for issues different than my own, during pregnancy/pre and post, during cancer treatments/pre and post, for anxieties arising out of our crazy world and lifestyles. I started going to Deqi after having issues on my scalp with psoriasis. I found the company by a search result on Google and they are known to be the best in treatment for this. I had never done acupuncture before but did not want to go to a regular doctor because I knew that I would just get medication to get rid of the physical sign of it as opposed to discovering the root problem and healing my body that way. I went to Daniel and have been going as often as possible. Lida changed my life. I was suffering from severe allergies for over 12 years before she started working with me. I was unable to sleep. I could not eat out with friends without getting up from the table several times to blow my nose. I had severe asthma and could not breathe. I had a nebulizer and took steroid inhalers.
