The fields are situated at the dead end of a steep, narrow road that leads you to believe this can't be the correct way, right up until it opens up to the facility. There is a large gravel parking lot, but it is laid out very tight making it a bit of a squeeze for everyone to safely get in/out as one set of games concludes and the next begins. There are five fields with all sand infield surfaces. The artificial pitching mounds are rather on the small side. One of the fields is laid out toward a hill and the steep hill is actually part of the outfield. We were on/near fields 1 & 2 all weekend. The bleachers have an aluminum roof over your head for protection from foul balls & as shade from the sun. Reasonably priced concessions and a pretty decent selection of offerings available for purchase. The grounds state "no carry ins" which is par for the course. During our two days the weather was in the high 80's with the humidity even worse. On day one several parents went back and forth to cars for bottles of water for our players and ourselves. The staff monitoring the gate throughout the day did not say a thing about this and for safety in super humid conditions it made sense you would allow your guests to carry in water. On day 2 the person monitoring the gate said "no carry ins" per the owner. There was no free water source available (that I saw at least) inside the park aside for buying it from the concession stand. I get as a business your trying to make money, but c'mon man how about using a little common sense with parents bringing in just water. For as much as I otherwise enjoyed the facility, the handling of the gate on morning two was a major turn off. (Side review: parents if traveling here for a tournament, consider staying at the nearby Best Western. They have a large pool & rec area for parents to gather. They also offer a solid complimentary breakfast to kick start the day.)

Friendly staff and 5 fields which makes it nice for tournaments. However to get there you have to…read moredrive down a fairly narrow road just wide enough for 1 car each way that is in need of repair. In 2016 my kids played fall baseball down there and none of the batting cages where working. This past summer my kids where in tournaments there and they only had 1 batting cage out of 3 working so if you wanted batting practice you would have to wait in a long line. The one year my kids played fall ball down there with their baseball teams they never stuck with the schedule that was made out. The schedule would change between 2-3 times each week and one time they tried changing everyone's schedule the morning of games. Some of us that where there for 8:00 games where told they wanted us to wait until noon for our 1st game. Fields 1-3 have good seating but if your kids are playing on fields 4 or 5 the seating sucks.

We arrived around 11 AM on a Saturday. I had already made my reservations for noon to tour the farmhouse. Upon arrival, we made the $20.00 donation. I'm not sure it's required but it was a worthwhile donation. We immediately went to the gift shop (very expensive) and got my MLB passport stamped. From there we proceeded to the field and walked around. After we walked around (corn is only a few inches off the ground), I grabbed two gloves and a ball. My wife and I played catch in the outfield then I went to first base. Playing catch on the field is magical. It was memorable playing out there with the kids and everyone just soaking in the experience. The farmhouse is worth seeing. It's 20.00 per person and about a 30 minute tour. You don't go upstairs (it is available for rent) but the guide shared a lot of stories from the movie and MLB expanding the games here. Overall if you're a baseball fan you need this experience. It is truly magical and surreal. It's as close to heaven as you will experience in Iowa.

It's about a twenty five minute ride from Dubuque. Upon arriving at the field , you stop at a little gatehouse where they collect a twenty dollar donation. I'm not sure if the donation is mandatory , but we did receive four pins for the field of dreams , which cost ten dollars at the gift shop. So obviously the donation was worth it. I came with my wife and my mom and aunt who are older ladies. They obviously did not want to get out on the field and play. If you're coming here with younger children or even teenagers or high schoolers, it's an absolutely magical experience to go out on the field and throw the ball around , make some pitches or even hit the ball. Gloves, bats and balls are all provided for you if you did not bring your own equipment. A group of younger kids were having the time of their life running around the bases and playing with their family. Ideally, you would like to come here in later months of the summer, when the corn is much higher. It definitely would add to the experience of coming here. The farmhouse, located on the property costs $20 a person to tour it and happens every half hour. We decided to skip that part of the experience. On-site is a bar-and-grill, a gift shop and a small stand that sells brats , hot dogs and ice cream. Stuff inside the gift shop is rather pricey. We had eaten lunch prior to coming here so we skipped out on any of the food options. The whole experience we probably spent about thirty minutes here. Really cool experience.I would definitely bring my grandkids here one day in the future , after I had shown them the movie.
