There are people beating their dogs so badly I can hear the dogs screaming! No barking or whining but literal screaming! Then a male would come out to his back porch and shoot his gun at 6:00am? Now there are people who insist on playing their music till it blasts inside their apartment and on the street. He's Navy and I'm thinking about contacting his Commander. I called security twice and the police once and this couple doesn't care. Tomorrow I am going to the manager because I know this is violating their lease. They've renovated many apartments and they just rejuvenated the property with orderly landscaping.

But Norfolk is the first place I actually landed when I got here literally off the plane. Lol! And I've been living in Norfolk for 13 years. I've rented the studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom apartments from Bondale. The prices do go up and down. But that's most apartments on little creek road. Especially since this road leads to one of the biggest military bases. Bondale is in walking distance to just about everything. You have Harris Teeter, Soap n Suds, Rite Aid, Walgreen's, Advance Auto, Wells Fargo, Clean Eatz, Chipotle, ABC liquor store, Starbucks, and Dollar Tree. There are a lot of other businesses in the area too. But this is just a few I've listed. The apartment complex does have a laundry facility on site if you don't want to go to the laundry mat ( Soap n Suds) across the street. Water and sewage is included. You also have a alarm system inside your apartment , central air , and dish washer. I fell in love with the wood floors. Which is a plus for me! Lol! Just saying.... Remember this apartment complex is in walking distance to a lot of business so sometimes you do get a lot of suspicious people roaming around the neighborhood. But this is a pretty safe neighborhood. There is a neighborhood watch community right next to the apartment complex. So there is police in the neighborhood at times. The neighborhood is quite quiet during winter. But don't let the summer days come around. Everyone and their momma will be outside making a bunch of noise. At the other apartment complex across the street. Which is a total different complex..... Everyone in the office was pretty cool. I've never had any problems with the staff. The only thing for some weird reason the lady that cleans the buildings. She never cleaned our building. It was very weird. It's like she only cleaned the front buildings. The very first buildings you see when your driving in the complex. They probably need to get to the bottom of that..... You are allowed pets. With a fee of course. The only thing I would complain about is there are no doggie bags for the people in the neighborhood that don't know how to pick up their dog poop. For example if you go for a jog or run beware that you might step in dog poop on the side walk. Then everyone has their pets running around like they have a personal backyard or this is a wildlife preserve. When I lived there I almost got attacked by someone's dog. The dog looked like a pitbull and a hyena mix. I felt like I was running for my life. Lol! No seriously I was..... Isn't there a leash law in Norfolk? I thought there was... But hey listen! This is a great starter apartment. One thing when your apartment hunting.. The key is to drive through the neighborhood at night. It's at night when you see the truth.... I felt like I was writing a novel writing this review... Lol!

Magnolia Chase's rental office is the Cascades. I had been talking to the manager, Ashley at IInfinity Townhomes at Centerville Crossing because they had put my security deposit in my name and my daughter's name. Ashley knew that my daughter had moved out of the apartment and that she had never paid the rent there. The rent was automatically set up to come directly out of my checking account. Ashley knew that me and my daughter had a falling out because she said she was going to be a squatter there because she was on the lease; however, she never paid a dime to live there. I changed the locks and I let Ashley know this as well. Ashley knew that I did not even know where my daughter was. She was supposed to be checking with her bookkeeper to see if they could re-issue the check in my name alone. I went into the Cascades Leasing Office on a Thursday, which is where she should' have been, but she was not there, and neither was the assistant manager, Kaitlyn. I asked the receptionist, Charlie, if they were at Infinity and she said no I asked her if they were at Magnolia Run and she said no. I asked her if they were in a meeting and she said no. I then asked her where were they and she said they were out sick. Since Ashley never called me back and no response to getting in touch with her bookkeeper, I explained why I was there. I tore up the check and left it on the desk and told the receptionist she could give that to Ashley when she came in. The receptionist, Charlie, jumped up from her desk and physically assaulted me. She said you are not even supposed to be in this office. I explained to her that Ashley had let me come into the Infinity office and that Ashley was supposed to be at The Cascades on Thursday. Charlie grabbed me and physically pushed me out the door with great force. I am a 63 year old woman who is disabled. I told Charlie that I was going to call the police and file assault charges. She said go ahead. I went to my car and called 911. Officer Daley of the Fourth Precinct responded and saw me shaking like a leaf and having a panic attack. He told me to just breathe and take a moment. I explained what happened. He listened to my side of the story and then he went in and spoke with Charlie. Officer Daley came back out and provided me with the police report number and Charilia Jones' address. He told me that I had been banned from the Leasing Office and that meant forever. I explained to him that Ashley had let me come into Infinity twice, another propertythat they manage and I knew that she was supposed to be at the Cascades on Thursday that is why I came into the office. Officer Daley told me I could go ahead and file charges; against Charlie for assault but Charlie could file charges against me. I said "I don't care". I went down to the magistrate's office and took out a warrant for assault by Charlie. I then called the fourth precinct to speak with Officer Daley, but he was gone for the day. When I asked the receptionist about the police report, she could not find anything current using the name Charilia that told me that Charlie had had previous charges against her. I gave the receptionistthe police report number and she said that the report had not been completed. I called again the following day and the report still had not been completed by Officer Daley. She checked to see if there was a sergeant available, but one was not available at the moment. She talked to the sergeant as he was leaving later that evening. The Sgt called me the next morning and said the report should be done. I went down to the 1st Precinct and filled out a freedom of information act form requesting a copy of the police report. Since I could not reach Ashley, I called their corporate headquarters and told them about the assault. Ashley called me today and was upset that I had called Corporate. Do you think I care? The receptionist assaulted me and she is representing four properties that they manage there. She said she could not discuss that with me as they have a lawyer now. So she should be thanking me for calling Corporate so that they could get their legal team on this matter. I look forward to seeing Officer Daley, Charlie and the attorney for Bonadventure Properties at court. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome. Charlie should be fired. That is my hope. Then she will never lay her hands on anybody else again that rents from Bonaventure properties, luxury living at its finest, lol. Like I said in my Google review later, Magnolia Chase! So Corporate must have instructed Ashley to put in their automated response ibecause it was posted an hour ago about reaching out to me and me coming into the office so that we could make things right. How funny is that?

The additional fees are pretty outrageous, particularly the move out fees. Parking is also very tight and inconvenient unless you pay for private spaces. Again, the staff on site are great, but the extras and noise is a huge negative.

They are responsive to emails and phone calls and are always helpful. It feels like you're staying at a 4-star hotel. 2. On move-in, my apartment was immaculate. I've moved many times and rented all over the country, and this is by far the cleanest apartment I've ever moved into. There was fresh paint and brand new carpet throughout 3. This place is quiet, and I mean silent. Maybe I just have good neighbors, but when you walk the halls you would think the building was empty. It's so nice.
