They confirmed all of my information and advised they had the wrong address for me on file. I immediately called Dr. Johnston's office and left a message which was never returned. I called again and was able to speak to someone in billing and they noted they saw the corrected address on file from the collections agency. I asked why I was never contacted prior to being sent to collections and was advised they mailed out statements and since they weren't returned by the post office they assumed I was receiving the bill. I then inquired why they can call, text, and email me reminders for appointments but never once reached out to me regarding an unpaid balance and was told it's not their policy. I had even called their office two months after my first and only visit (in which I paid my co-pay), and canceled my follow up appointment and was never made aware of an unpaid balance then, either. The woman in billing was unapologetic and quick to blame the post office and couldn't give me a reason why they couldn't have at least given me a courtesy call to advise me of an unpaid balance prior to being sent to collections over their mistake and was again only given a bland, it's our policy, excuse. So now, because of their errors, my credit has been negatively impacted and they couldn't even muster up an I'm sorry. While Dr. Johnston was knowledgeable, albiet brief in my interaction with him, and the nurse I saw was sweet and went above and beyond they have lost my business. The lack of oversight, courtesy and caring is regrettable. A collection agency was able to call me and resolve the issue in less than 4 minutes. Dr. Johnston's staff who made the error months ago never once contacted me regarding an unpaid bill that I was completely unaware of and not only did the billing department not care whatsoever they couldn't even manage an apology. I went for an annual appointment, as it has been 18 months since I moved here, and my former doctor recommended annual exams. A nurse asked my concerns, when my last exam was, noted the information, but the PA seemed unaware of what I told the nurse, as she asked me again what I was there for. They were not thorough, only dealt with 2 of the issues that I brought up, did no full body exam for problems or potential problems, then ushered me out to pay. Not recommended.

I have spent most of my adult life in the sun. I am 75 and just retired. I began going to GCD about ten years ago. I truly believe they saved my life. I have had numerous skin cancers over the years. I now go every two months for a check up. I have had radiation once during this period. I can tell you "Put on that sun screen". I learned the hard way. It is critically important. Start using sun screen as a youngster. Most of my skin damage was done when I was young. I am paying for my stupidity now. Thank God for the folks at GCD. They have a great staff of knowledgeable employees. Dr. Stickler is the best, period. He runs a tight ship. I have never waited more than five minutes in the waiting room. Pretty incredible, considering the number of times I have been to this clinic!! They make every patient feel special. Kinda of unheard of in today's medical world. There are several exam rooms and surgery centers - clean, modern, great lighting, and the latest equipment. You will be impressed. If you don't have a dermatologist and live on the coast. Your taking a huge risk. Get an exam ASAP. It could save your life. I highly recommend Dr. Stickler.

Dr. Stickler took my MOHS report from other city and scheduled me for surgery within two weeks. Never met him until the day of surgery and I can assure you. Dr. Stickler deserves more than 5 stars. His bedside manner, knowledge, and tender way of explaining the process of removal was impeccable. His staff was so gentle and kind. Not to mention during one of those dates they didn't even put it down and i was still getting confirmation emails for the last one. No communication in the scheduling office.. When I finally got to keep an appointment I show up and they stated it was just for a consult... I have come here before and not to mention NO ONE told me this was all it was for. If I would've known I would've scheduled TWO appointments back to back. Top it all off I am going on a trip in 2 weeks... can't take off work... and have been rescheduled THREE times. No other place can get Me in before my trip. . Talked to the office manager and all she said was I could go in Friday but in a different town. I can't take off more work before my trip!
